Great video mate. I've got an OPTOMA X312 PROJECTOR and it never had filters nor a trap door for filtration is it OK to use filter materials to install on the inside where the vents are? What would you do im new to Projectors i wasted money on amazon buying a £400 full HD slash 4k led unit and it turned out to be absolutely pants 👎 so I was given a sealed in the box 2016 X312 from my sister its apparently crap as its 3200 ANSI lumens someone at work said but imo its great with the 3d glasses Hdmi etc sorry I'm yapping on lol im curious if thin filter foam on the side where no bulb is if it could help. Your right also about the fans last week I turned it on didn't notice the lack of fan noise and a notice appeared saying its not working and switched off upon opening it the fan had some dust build up stopping the fan rotating after a month of use snowshoe much they attract dust. Thank you brother for your content. 😎👍 please nothing better than haan entire wall to watch South Park at night in glorious HD or the football ⚽️ and rugby 🏉 imo pisses all over any HD TV I ever had.
I would not stick a filter in there, there is the potential for it to get sucked into the fans and cause more issues because there is no good way to secure it. The best thing to do would be regular cleanings every year or so!
Good question! An external fan will not do much to help. The best thing that you can do is make sure the fans that are part of the cooling system are well cleaned and maintained. If you are having issues with your unit, we also offer projector repair services!
