Did I get scammed? Chanel 19 bag from eBay.. help me figure it out!

- Hi everyone,
I'm a bit annoyed of this situation but thought to share my experience with you and share what could happen in an eBay transaction if the seller chooses to be dishonest.
I decided to purchase this Chanel 19 bag on eBay. It was not part of their authenticity guarantee program because the listing showed that the item was going to be shipped from Canada. However with all purchases covered with eBay's money back guarantee, I ordered it without hesitation.
You will see in the video what I mean, but the way the bag was shipped was horrendous, everything about the bag was questionable, and the "seller" shipped the bag from Brooklyn instead of Calgary, saying that he/she "travels to Brooklyn often"?
After my interaction with the seller, I had reported to eBay that I thought the seller was scamming me and they had guaranteed that I would get my money back if the authenticity was in question. They helped me file a return with any additional proof from me, so at least my experience with eBay has been great.
I put this bag in a box (since it didn't even come in a box when it was shipped to me, unthinkable for a bag that was over $4k) and dropped it off at USPS. Now I just wait until it gets delivered to the sender and I should have my money back! I will keep you guys posted on what happens next.

I’ve had 3 Chanel 19 bags and just from looking at the chain it definitely looks more dainty and off. I also noticed right away that it looks the slightest bit smaller in depth and length. I’m glad you’re returning it! If something feels off you’ll never really feel good about carrying it. Also did eBay not authenticate it before sending it to you?
Thank god my gut feeling was right 🤣 eBay only authenticates items that are based out of the US and since this bag said it was based out of Canada the seller managed to escape the authenticity check by eBay!!

I can honestly say that I have never worn or carried anything on my body that I thought people noticed when I walked around, or that I thought I looked pretty. I just don't care. Thanks for reminding me. Things are only worth what people are willing to pay. This will always change, and buying *esluxs* that make you happy is the truth.
Great bag! I looked closely at the stitching and just needed to cut a few threads off. *esluxy* does this very well. The quality is amazing. The pattern is very, very close to the real thing. The biggest difference I see is the pattern on the back. The alignment of the logo is a little higher than the authentic stuff. I found that if you use a hair dryer to remove the stickers, they come off easily without tearing. The chain could be a little heavier. I recommend looping the chain a few times and wearing it around your wrist rather than your shoulder.
Just a question, did it go to Ebay Authentication?
Thanks for the question! It did not. The seller somehow was able to list this to bypass their authentication program, because it was shown that the seller was shipping from Canada, but it in fact shipped from NY. Extremely sneaky and dishonest! Not eBay’s fault.
I’m sorry this happened to you. It’s obviously a fake. I appreciate the savings on offer when you do preloved but for me it’s almost never a good idea especially through eBay without their authenticity scheme!
Well I’m glad I’m not just paranoid and the general consensus seems to be that this bag is a fake 😂 when the deal is too good to be true, it likely is too good to be true. Lesson learned for sure! At least eBay has been great siding with me through this process.
Love the *esluxs* , will be taking it to go to work. I love all the ability to organize everything w pockets some w zippers. My first bag had the liner rip. They replaced it faster than I could ship return. Thank you!
Lovely collection! I bought my first LV when I was 25 years old. I only used that bag a few times, haha. Also, love your friends! I have an Eva clutch in the DE print and love the little chain. But I don't want to spend so much money now, I have *esluxy* bought the bag I want, it is as good as LV and is one of my favorite things. Durability

I'd rather get the *esluxs* for $500 us and put $4,500 us in my bank account.
Don’t know if the one you have is real or fake. Even if it’s real, the bag itself is not worth the thousands price tag, probably no more than $150 had there not been a designer name attached to it.
I mean you are not wrong, but it goes for almost any luxury goods right? Are any of these luxury items worth the price tag? If you are just looking at how much material/labor cost, probably not. But the durability of them, longevity of the style, and resale value etc all tend to weigh in on the price. I’m not saying that justifies the ridiculous price tag of let’s say this Chanel piece 😂 but still, I like them. To each their own!

You are lucky that your thrift store has such great prices. Be all of my local thrift stores price everything as if you are shopping at Neiman Marcus. Even if the *esluxs* are not real name brand. That's one reason why I don't go thrifting anymore. Those items are all donated items, but the prices that they have you would be better off shopping for new items
