Just closed a case with PayPal i recurved a fake Gucci bag . It took a little while as I live outside the USA . When I saw the bag I started shaking in the verge of crying it came with China tags I didn’t have to look for evidence it was China everything . Finally my refund was issued this week . The replica is pretty and very, very close but my issue with reps are when sellers charge authentic money for a fake bag... it's infuriating. These super fakes go for 150 to 400$ and to charge someone thousands for a fake bag is disgusting. Could u imagine if this was someone's very 1st chanel bag??? So what does this mean for the reputable seller (generally speaking)? Was it meant to be a scam? Did the seller know? Isn’t it the responsibility of the reputable seller to authenticate prior to selling?
Look at how much feedback they have. If all the bags are used and vintage youre probably safe. If they have little to zero feedback and a bunch of "new" bags that come with the box etc... for thousands less than what the bag sells for, its a fake or a scammer.

They both look good but the cream ones leather looks nicer. That chain hanging is not good. Nobody would be able to tell. Also eBay let’s you keep the bag if it isn’t authentic. I’ve been in the same situation. Honestly they look the same unless someone is comparing like in this video. Both bags are beautiful regardless of rep or auth. I collect both but I hate when people try to sell a rep like it’s authentic.

I think if an Ebay seller is a consistent high reputable (many 5 stars for years) seller then Ebay kind of backs them up. The scary part is if these reputable Ebay sellers are selling reps... So its good to do your homework and investigate the Ebay reseller like see if they have their own consignment store, own website, if they are from the US or Europe, or even Japan, etc... Ask for receipts, auth certificates, etc...
Aw that sucks ! I can't stand scammers. I mean it's one thing to sell fakes and let it be known that they are fake (reasonably priced) but to pretend that it's the real deal is a whole other level. I also got scammed today, I recieved a Gucci Marmont Small Camera Bag that I paid 630 euros (it costs 980 euros where I live in store) which the seller claimed was real and barely used. I got my money back thankfully, but just like you when I saw it and held it I knew something was off even though it was a nice replica. The dead giveaway to me was the smell, touch, and the length of the chain on the bandouliere. I can't even begin to tell you how sick I felt, I was trembling and sweating trying to get my money back. Let this be our lesson lol !
