Girl I felt you in this video I’m so sorry you felt like you had no one on your side. As some who is apart of the D9 I couldn’t imagine paying all the dues and time spent and then when you needed a helping hand the most nobody was there. Even through video I can see how much of an impact you could make walking into any room. A real go getter and self disciplined women, qualities that I’ve always admired. Your org definitely missed out on a great woman.
Thank you for that…I appreciate you!
Thanks for sharing your story boo! You’re a stellar example of resilience! It’s not easy for us first gens - I related to everything you said regarding that. Your family should be immensely proud of you - I sure am!
Thank you so much! I appreciate you 🥰
It’s ok girl. The expulsion doesn’t diminish your accomplishments because you still did that!!! The black excellence was still there. The goal settings and goal crushing were still there. You were still the first. And you can still tell your family member to come about your experience and hope they apply it.
Thank you for the transparency. It’s amazing how different everyone’s experiences can be.
Hess not transparent.... she never said y
I’m proud of you for standing up for yourself I dig everything you went through and I’m so glad you kept it real mostly with yourself.
You know you’re a phenomenal example for your cousins because you did not quit! That is so much more of a testament to your strength and perseverance.
I'm not sure how I came across your channel. Thank you to sharing your story. Also you are one FINER QUEEN. Keep your head up and let God direct your footsteps.
Omg! That is heartbreaking! However, I love how you set your mind to it and achieved your dream.
College disciplinary hearings are notoriously biased...they never seem to help or care about students. I'm sorry for your experience.
Thank you, I appreciate you! And I have to agree. I haven’t talked to anyone that shares a school disciplinary experience that felt they were handled fairly.
Thank you for sharing...while I was listening, there was one thing missing...accountability.
So the moral of this story is, ne careful what you do in life because it's consequences may not come for many years, and, it might pick the time that we decide to make a change or have already made the change.
Bless you and congratulations for not giving up or in.
Start at 4:45 😅 sorta

I am a former Miss LU, 1999. My question is have you tried to reach out to LU to clear your name and at least be in the history as a College queen? The queens are still very connected and I would be interested in seeing what can be done. I also want to know why you didn't take the deal and where was your Queen advisor at the hearing?
Wow!!! Thank you for sharing your story!!! It take a strong person to share something so personal!!
The 'get out....but you can come back in 5 years for the whopping fee of $xx' letter is unbelievable!
I said they have got to be joking…I would never!
@@LifestylePeeperIt would be nice if you put the org on blast. It may help them change their ways .
Hi Angie, God had a different plan for you; you didn't fail, you had no control. You" FINISHED", and got your degree 🙏🏿❤️🙏🏿. God's wonderful!
Thank you! I appreciate you ❤️
I know this is an old video but watching this brought me to tears. I really feel for you because that experience would drive me into depression. You did everything you were supposed to do and you got the wooden spoon. Yes, hazing is horrible and should be punished to the full extent. The school did not handle the misconduct correctly even if it was not true. I am so sorry that happened to you and those other girls I would have gone to the news, social media, or a lawyer. Call them out on their misconduct.
Thank you. If social media was around then I would have for sure called them out because I exhausted all other avenues but I think Facebook had just started so it was really new. I appreciate you mr kind words 🥰
@@LifestylePeeperYou can call them out now .
And gurl they were probably jealous some rich parent could've bribed the prinicipal because she felt that her child deserved the position and all them students jealous. U should've sued the school girl you should've gotten a lawyer to go through that rule book and find a loophole.
Young Sis, be proud of your integrity and your strength. I’m sure you make your family very proud.🙂
Thank you, I appreciate you 🥰
Thanks for sharing this!
That was definitely not fair. You got expelled for something you didn’t do.
Thank you. I agree but it all worked out in the end 🙌🏾
It’s horrible the organization didn’t help you. I’m curious, were the allegations true?
Im so sorry this happened to you.
...Delta???
It is what it is
So they chose the class with the most first time graduates to put a hazing charge on that’s how the devil works
This sounds like the classism that's common in the Black elite spaces.
Where did you end up graduating from?
Tennessee State University (TSU)
Cults pure evil
((💕💕💕))
Your story was heartbreaking. Your experience, will not ruin your nieces and nephews perception of you or college. You are strong, smart, and beautiful and in hindsight will ultimately will be a testimony to help others push through life challenges. Stay encouraged and keep telling your story.
Thank you! I appreciate you and your words 💕
Sooo I’m finally getting around to finishing this vlog. Thank you for your transparency. Girl, you had me in tears, You will always be Miss Lincoln.
I said watch me go on this internet abs cry 🤣 Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
This is heartbreaking. Sadly, if these organizations are deemed responsible for hazing, they can get sued and lose the organization altogether.
This video deserves way more views! I’m so sorry this happened to you.
So y’all were hazing & harming other students, got caught, then put sorority secrets in front of your academic careers?
We were accused of hazing. There was zero evidence to back the claim. Including the girls being accused of being hazed denying the claim and passing physical examinations. There was no secrets to tell.
Basically. That's exactly what it sounds like.
@@LifestylePeeper did you get hazed to join?
@@Clarene24 of course
@@RalphDaVillain so what’s the point of acting like allegations were only assumptions and be sad about it… when you sign up for a organization especially one you pay to stay in you’re a part of it it’s a pack…. So she guilty there or not… especially if she allowed it to happen to her
Your nieces/nephews are proud of you. Can't stop, won't stop!! U still did that
Thank you 💗💗💗
@@LifestylePeeper it's all good. My hubby and I are both soldiers so when we sent our daughter off to school it was nerve wrecking. I have a few family members and friends that pledged but I didn't hear the upside. Luckily our daughter didn't either. We depended on other soldiers checking up on her bcuz of course the Army moved us b4 she graduated. I'm glad you're speaking up on your experience but in the end u came up on top. Maybe your new circle was what your life needed. Keep it ☝
My nieces also opted out of the experience. They just didn’t like what happened to me and it didn’t seem like something they’d be interested in long term. They always reassure me that I was exactly the inspiration they needed so I find comfort in that.
@@LifestylePeeper WINNING
@@LifestylePeeper Thanks for sharing. Did you intentionally leave out the name of the sorority ?
My sorority dropped me my senior year after 3 years in (in Missouri also) bc I needed treatment and was gone for a semester. So never mind my dues were paid, my hours were not complete and I missed too many meetings and rush. They tried to make me return my letters and I told they f you. I did nothing wrong.
Sis! I hope this message I’m about to type gives you some comfort.
I too graduated HS in 2002. I too am a graduate of an HBCU in Florida. I too am currently an active member of a BGLO. A lot of what you’re saying, I agree with you. But I do want to tell you that there’s no such thing as a perfect college experience.
As I am a believer in Jesus Christ, understand that “All things work together to those who love God and those who are called according to His purpose.” Trust! I can relate to almost 100% of what you’re saying. It sounds like we have many similarities as I listen to you talk. But girl, you’re good. You didn’t let that experience knock you down. You were delayed but not denied.
All the best sis!
PS. (Edit)
Also when you’re called by God, it’s difficult to fit in. Trust!!!
Thank you so much. I receive your message and I appreciate you and you’re absolutely right. It all worked out for my good 🙌🏾
Sororities and fraternities are definitely elitist.
For sure! All of those types of auxiliary groups are
Thank you for the realness & message in this video.
Wow that was definitely a VERY biased and unfair trial against you, shame on Lincoln for that!
Thank you. In hindsight it was the best thing that ever happened to me, but it for sure is an experience I’ll never forget 🥺
Whew. Deep
The school was wrong an everyone no that in any organization theres so me form of hazing the school wrong an the young lady parent was just being a parent i get it but did the young lady that say she got hazed got put out
That's why I told my mother "mommy I am trying my best and I have the drive to work on my dreams and goals but do have high expectations because I'm trying my best and I'm not gonna try to live up to anyone's expectations so don't brag about me."
When I was in college many years ago I was always infatuated with the aesthetics of black Greeks and their calls but I knew that stuff wasn't for me. I never had an inclination to join. At the time, I had collegemates who became black Greeks and I sometimes hung out with them, saw step shows and all of that but a lot of those girls changed into characters that were unbelievable. So I kept my distance eventually. Anyway, I appreciate you sharing your story and your black Greek denouncing which had nothing to do with religious leanings. Very hard to come across those. I wish you the best in the rest of your life journey.
2002?? Girl thought you were my age like 27 or younger wow 🥰
🥰🥰stop it! Thank you ☺️
@@LifestylePeeper welcome holy shit ❤️
What was done to you was not a failure from your actions. Dont hang your head stand with your back staright because you did complete your goals your path may not have been easy but your journey is what makes it matter
I would’ve gotten a lawyer so it would’ve forced them to communicate with me
Question...if you did the hazing (not sure because you never said either way), why didn't you own it and sign the papers????? As for being disappointed as a "role model"....don't despair, you did show your family than no matter what obstacles you face, you overcame it. Life isn't always going to be fair and you were an example of how to overcome adversity. Great job. Did you go to S'kgee??
SIS LISTEN TO ME. I’m from St. Louis and your story sounds so similar to mine, with some major differences. I wish I could talk to you and tell you mine because it’s like we were bamboozled lbs. everything about you and your story and your views are so similar to mine. This is amazing. I feel the same way you do. It was just weird activity. I’m not against them but somethings they do and how they act are just weird and controlling
I’ve always been really hesitant about sharing because I was worried about backlash but I can’t tell you how many people have said they’ve had similar experiences but no one ever talks about it. It just shows that we are never alone in our experiences. There is always someone or people who can relate
Thanks for sharing this! Much love, I received similar treatment from LivingStone College you don't need their bs, be blessed!
Thank you. Same to you!
Thank you for sharing your story. I applaud you. I am sure that your nieces and nephews look up to you.
Thank you, I appreciate you.
I wish you would've taken the deal and kept your title bc you weren't passionate about AKA anyways. I am proud of you
Thank you. I didn’t have anything to tell them. I wasn’t even there when whatever supposedly happened, happened. So I just took my L and bounced.
She was an AKA? I didn’t hear her mention the exact organization .
@@LifestylePeeperYou are aware that you indirectly admitted that it was the AKA sorority?
Be encouraged! GOD has got you!!!
Thank you…I appreciate you 🥰
I am sorry that you had to experience that and that the sorority didn't do anything to help you or get you out of the situation that you were in
Those late 90s and early 2000s were hell for Greeks! We were getting our chapters snatched left and right for the smallest things. A lot of this was very relatable, my story ended differently but I totally understand your choices
THANK YOU FOR YOUR STORY.
Tennessee State University or Texas Southern University?
You are stronger than them. You’ve challenged yourself and achieved your goal of being Ms. Lincoln. Going forward you know you can achieve whatever you set your mind to do. Keep pushing forward- don’t look back. Proud of you standing your ground.
I had to scoot over here after accidentally stumbling on your TT video...sending it on to my daughter so that she can be aware.
It’s always good to be really, really informed. We only see the best of these things because it’s the members job to advertise the best qualities of these organizations, but it’s important that people know that it’s not all sisterhood and rainbows
It’s horrible the organization didn’t help you. I’m curious, were the allegations true?
They weren’t. The things they were trying to say happened, they had no evidence even after investigating.
😡I know why you got expelled because you badd 😍
i didnt even know someone could get expelled for hazing.. thats crazy!
Me either until I did! People usually just get their chapters suspended, especially for speculation but nope…kicked us all out!
If you don’t mind answering what was the org?
For the sake of the others involved, I’ve decided not to say. I chose to share my experience and they didn’t and some are still involved with the organization. I’d hate for this to fall on their laps in any way
I appreciate what you’ve said but, through your actions, you became a liability and existential threat to an organization far bigger than you. Had they taken “your side” the financial costs and the risk to all the other members would be staggering and can kill the entire organization. I’m sorry your feelings were hurt by your perceived treatment. At the same time your organization has to see the bigger picture and disassociate themselves from you just as you chose to do from them. I wish you luck and I’m glad your story has a positive ending and that you have the gift of tenacity and wisdom forged from overcoming adversity.
I know your parents are proud of their college drop out 😆
They are, especially because I finished at another University still within 5 years and got a M.Ed. two years later 🤗
