Girl I felt you in this video I’m so sorry you felt like you had no one on your side. As some who is apart of the D9 I couldn’t imagine paying all the dues and time spent and then when you needed a helping hand the most nobody was there. Even through video I can see how much of an impact you could make walking into any room. A real go getter and self disciplined women, qualities that I’ve always admired. Your org definitely missed out on a great woman.

It’s ok girl. The expulsion doesn’t diminish your accomplishments because you still did that!!! The black excellence was still there. The goal settings and goal crushing were still there. You were still the first. And you can still tell your family member to come about your experience and hope they apply it.

I know this is an old video but watching this brought me to tears. I really feel for you because that experience would drive me into depression. You did everything you were supposed to do and you got the wooden spoon. Yes, hazing is horrible and should be punished to the full extent. The school did not handle the misconduct correctly even if it was not true. I am so sorry that happened to you and those other girls I would have gone to the news, social media, or a lawyer. I can relate to almost 100% of what you’re saying. It sounds like we have many similarities as I listen to you talk. But girl, you’re good. You didn’t let that experience knock you down. At the time, I had collegemates who became black Greeks and I sometimes hung out with them, saw step shows and all of that but a lot of those girls changed into characters that were unbelievable. Had they taken “your side” the financial costs and the risk to all the other members would be staggering and can kill the entire organization. I’m sorry your feelings were hurt by your perceived treatment. At the same time your organization has to see the bigger picture and disassociate themselves from you just as you chose to do from them. I wish you luck and I’m glad your story has a positive ending and that you have the gift of tenacity and wisdom forged from overcoming adversity.
