Wonderful! I'm so proud of the two of you for letting the Spirit lead you out of your organizations. I denounced Delta a few months ago after 35 years of membership. A RUclips denunciation video opened my eyes. It's my prayer that the Lord will use your testimony to lead others out of darkness.

Oh wow, after 35 years?! All praises to the Most High and congrats! I denounced Delta Sigma Theta as well 9 years ago after being a member for 10 years. As my relationship grew and became stronger with our Fatherand Christ, They opened my eyes to see and understand that being a member was wrong. Can't serve Him and idols.

In reality, there are a great many things individuals choose as idols without even realizing it: sports teams, money, cars, education, relationships, likes on Instagram. Do you denounce those as well? Just because an organization has Christian values doesn't mean it's their job to make sure you keep your faith in God. Greek and Christianity don't have to mix therefore you shouldn't be comparing the two. If you wanna join organizations surrounded by God join Christian organizations.

Hey y'all thank you for your honesty. Your testimony reached my spirit on all kinds of levels. I have been able to reconcile with God and repent of my involvement with Alpha Phi Alpha. I heard different murmurs about this but ignored it. I married myself to A Phi A when I was unsaved. Yet since coming to Jesus I began questioning the symbols and emblems of A Phi and my tats with the frat on my body, specifically the Egyptian Sphinx. I have been researching this for several months and after watching y'all really revealed that I had to remove this from my spirit, from my soul. Additionally a personal struggle that has plagued me for years, through God, He used you both to speak to me and choose Him. The cutting out, the revealing of opposing concepts against God, speaking out the fallacies in the philosophy and muddying of the word of God. Thank you both for your courage! I have been a part of A Phi A since 1991, I have been licensed and ordained as a Pastor, I have retired from active duty Air Force and have had the opportunity to influence many. Thank you for sharing your stories! I was considering pledging Alpha as an adult, but will certainly be praying on my decision. One of the main points that stuck out was the comment made about how these organizations were founded on Christian principles. While hearing that, I immediately thought of how the KKK says the same thing, yet their practices reflect otherwise!

I sent my denouncing letter off this morning. I broke DOWN! Do you hear me?! I did the same thing you guys did by substituting God/ Jesus during my rituals but I knew then I wouldn’t be in the org long. I made it almost 4 years and God showed me performing those rituals to the idols (things on the tables) was witchcraft last week. He then told me to let go and don’t look back last Friday. I sent the letter off today. I didn’t break down until on my way to the post office & God gave me Psalm 84:11. When I asked him to remove everything that was not of him earlier this year, he started the pruning process. A relationship gone, a friendship almost gone, and my former sorority….. gone. Lord, give me strength. 😭🙏🏽🧎🏽♀️

I Thank God for you , I denounced DST about 4 years ago and let me tell you the soul ties were something else. My heart felt heavy when I got rid of my hat, my line jacket, my sweatshirt, taking the plate off my car. With each thing I got rid of it was a struggle and now I ask those people wko know which by now they all do to please respect my walk and stop wishing me a Happy Founders day because their will be many who will try to be funny.

I certainly understand what you both are saying from your individual perspectives. God dealt with your husband very bluntly whereas God provided you with the tools to make your decision and he left it up to you to say yea or nah. He speaks to everyone differently and deals with everyone differently. He was matter-of-fact with your spouse and as you stated gave you free will to either keep or neglect your peace. I respect the unity among a black young married christian couple who admittedly sought God's face despite your fleshly desires. I know that is not easy. I was in the process of going through the process with the Delta's and God confirmed not once not twice but three plus times not to go through the process. It was one of the hardest things for me because I knew I wanted to be a Delta since high school. I won't lie I still have the desire to be a Delta but not enough to defy God. It is really about personal conviction.

I got rejected from Delta after I paid $500. Crazy mistake on my part. I was young. My mother had just become a widow and she we couldn't really afford it. But I thought it would change my life. I was so lost. I see it now that God blocked it. It really hurt at the time.
That all depends, Alexus. Are you involved with the AKA's activities? If not, then you ARE missing out. However, if you are participating is social programs, educational programs and community service, then maybe you aren't missing the service that these ladies perform.
Same. Folks rejection is truly God's protection. 👏🏽 In highschool I was even invited into the AKA debutante program and was later kicked out. But Christ did not leave it there. Not only did He protect me as a child, He called me into counter cult ministry as a missionary to Mormons in my 20's. And look at God! Gave me total confirmation of why He protected me. I was so affirmed as a discerning Jesus follower and got to know what I was talking about, like the sister said about the pastors sermon. When we are called to a particular people group, you have to know what they believe. Love above all, but do your RESEARCH.
I'm coming here for some help because I've been telling my mother my aunt and my grandmother all of this she passed away six years ago and wouldn't listen to me I was able to get my mother and my aunt to join Christian Church but they still won't give up Eastern stars or deltas hopefully them hearing from former Greeks will help or get through to them

I’m just a little confused as to why you didn’t add the link or let your followers or the people know what sermon/video you watched that play an instrumental part in convicting you to denounce your memberships. Since it impacted you that much, think of the other people that will be led to the truth by watching it. That’s a significant piece of your testimony that I wholeheartedly believe you should share. Please share the link or how we can access that that sermon/lesson. I denounced my membership in AKA in October 2019. One of my sisters, one of my spiritual advisors, research, and The Most High himself led to my denouncement. In my opinion, the pastor that breaks all of this down the best is Pastor Fred Price Jr. The whole sermon can be watched by typing in his name followed by the word idolatry. He broke it down so hard that anyone that’s able to still continue their memberships in BGLOs, Freemasonry, Eastern Star, etc., are people whose hearts have been hardened. TMH said My sheep hear (know) my voice…..
Message: Watch what/who you worship. Question: can a truly righteous man or woman be in these organizations? HBGLO’s can lead their members into idolatry and all sorts of sin but I personally know some that do not put their membership b4 God. They stick to the positive aspects and avoid the negative. Caucasian organizations have similar rituals and idols but it’s really just a fun thing and something they do at college to make friends and party. They leave the organization at the campus upon graduation. Black orgs take it to this crazy level of basically being a positive GANG. A lifetime commitment, you get jumped in and you take an oath of secrecy. It’s really crazy. It can ruin your life if u don’t leave that campus mentality after graduation. I've got to pals that are Greek affiliated AND the stuff they shared with me about the alleged skanky-janky crap turned me off. I'm past the "Fedora and Sundress" socials and All Star Weekend $500 dinners just to cruise, gaggle and smoke a $200 cigar. Hell, I did that in undergrad for a lot cheaper with classier people!!!!!!!!!! It doesn't take much convincing if you're sane & mature. Sure it looks prestigious to wear the Frat monogram, but I would get bored with 300 men clout chasing with no personal life goals outside of "group think,!"

😂If you would simply believe more in your faith and less in an organization, there'd never be a need to denounce the organization. Someone on my line renounced a few years after pledging and then 15 years later, realized doing so wasn't necessary. They simply dedicated more time to their faith & family than they did the organization and found a life balance which allowed them to serve both. All these demons are in your own minds. Ain't nothing in these streets but some letters and colors. Stevie Wonder said it best "when you believe in things that you don't understand, YOU suffer."

This really reminds me of Proverbs 3:6: "In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." This is also a confirmation for me. Before I started college (Tuskegee), at 17 years of age, I first prayed and asked God which school He wanted me to attend: Tuskegee, or another college closer to home in California. After praying, He told me -- with confirmations later on -- Tuskegee. So I went. While there, I got exposed to Greek life, but wasn't quite sure if I wanted to pledge to any of the fraternities. They seemed to be treated like royalty around campus, but something inside of me kept convicting me that this wasn't for me -- especially since only JESUS should be treated as royalty. So, just as I did before going off to college, I prayed to God again -- this time ASKING if I could join a fraternity. His answer: No. "No?" I thought. I couldn't quite understand at first, especially since my good friend and campus Men's Bible Study President was in a fraternity and appeared to be a well-respected man of God. Yet, God was saving from SOMETHING and this video, like so many others out there, confirm what He was saving me from (i.e., false god and idol worship, etc.). I have also tuned in to this video because a distant relative in a divine 9 fraternity has been asking me for quite some time about pledging, the latest just last week. However, my convictions have not changed since my undergraduate years, nor has God changed His mind. So, your video was both an eye opener and confirmation for me, and I appreciate your obedience to the Lord, because it's videos like this that will set the captives free. @batonbeauty Even if they denounced AFTER graduation, the important step is that they denounced. Not everyone receives a revelation about a thing all at once. Some people receive a revelation about a thing almost immediately, while for others, it may take years. Who's to say that individuals that denounce AFTER graduation finally received their revelation at that point in time? I actually had a friend in college that denounced after our sophomore year. This was the moment in time that he realized that Greek life wasn't for him. (His relationship with God also played a role in his denouncement.) That same friend was really talked about by his former frat brothers and wound up transferring to another college at the end of the year. So, individuals may contemplate denouncing and may even witness others do so, but may also witness how denouncing members are treated. It may register at that point in time that the organization isn't for them, or years later, they may recall what they witnessed and at THAT time, feel that they too must denounce from the organization.
@batonbeautyYou are right, I totally agree with you: some people do idolize their political organizations, including fraternities and sororities. I've never agreed with this, and have never agreed with the pride it produces in certain ones (in Greek organizations, that is). We should be humble in the eyes of God, and should be never place anything above Him, including our little human "statuses." In fact, while attending Tuskegee University, I can remember a businessman from Columbus, Georgia teaching us that the word status is an acronym. S.T.A.T.U.S = Still Too Arrogant To Understand Success. So, we should all remain humble and never high minded, nor should we ever place any affiliation above God.

I never joined a fraternity. Every once in awhile, i would think maybe i should? My decision not to join was mainly why do I have to go through all that I've heard of, just to be part of a group? I guess I'm a loner at heart anyway

I respect the fact that you both wrote your letters of denunciations. Your decision is your own and was yours to make. I'd like to know the difference between Christian principles and Muslim principles and Jewish principles.
Basically: 1. Christians believe that Jesus is the way the truth and the life. We believe that Jesus came as the promised Messiah suffering, dying, because of our sins taking on the wrath of God that we deserved on himself because he loved us he rose again so that we would have eternal life with him and destroyed sins and deaths power over us. When we put our trust in him we become saved from sin and death, his blood covers are sins so when God sees us he sees Jesus sacrifice and our sins are forgotten. We believe that God is three persons in one God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Non Messianic Jews believe that the Messiah has not come yet. They follow the law (for the most part). They don't acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah (that's rough overview I'm still learning). This is a man made religion, that refuses to acknowledge the fact that Jesus came. Muslims believe that Jesus was a good prophet, sent by Allah who is not the God of the Bible. It's not biblical at all it's a man made religion.

I am a member of a church where sorority and fraternities have great influence in the church. I have always thought that they were IDOLS but they all are so nice... A friend told me that she and her fiance were prayed for by an old fashioned full gospel preacher before their wedding. They both had strange experiences. Her fiance told her that at one point he saw little strange things coming out of his Q tattoo saying, "All or one and one for all!" Jesus cast devils out of Mary Magdalene. They are everywhere.

Great question, the difference is that you pledge, kneel on a altar dedicated to this false god, bring sacrifices before this false god and make a covenant (agreement) SPIRITUALLY to do and/or uphold what this false god requires masked behind "the good work of the organization, brotherhood/sisterhood, etc. Yes, anything can become a false idol. Fitness clubs and the other examples you listed, the difference is you've built that altar yourself and placed these things before God where in fraternities, sororities, freemasonry, eastern stars, etc. these evil altars were already established. In 2010 I was going to coppin my cousin and I wanted to join DST even though I was a freshman I wanted to join when I became a sophomore. I’m thinking about being in a sisterhood and being with likeminded women like me also I loved to step and I wanted my letters! Now what turned us off was the money they was asking for, knowing I had a baby to care for! I never pursued to join again! And knowing what I know now I would have been ignoring my child and I would have been fighting!!
As a Sis in Christ, I would just like to say your response shows a defensiveness that you should not have. They came to a truth for them, you response seems like your being convicted so what. When you really take the wall of defense down and seek truth, if you so choose to, just make sure you are TRULY RIGHT. Being wrong on this could cost you more than you want to pay. God bless you.
I too have never idolized my Sorority in any way; however, what I came to realize is that it's not about me, it's about what the Lord thinks about the organization I am ceremonially bonded too. Is He okay with these said prayers, rituals, and a certain emblem that has a false/demonic goddess atop of the shield? Is He ok with being apart of an organization founded on Christian principles, but never references His son Christ in the ritual prayers or ceremonial practices? This is not about what we deem as right or wrong, but what He does.
I agree. I have been a member of my sorority for 21 years and I have never idolized the sorority. These two are young and giving a very immature perspective. They sound like people who are just coming to Christianity and misinterpreting the organizations. If a video on RUclips can sway them it seems like they’re easily persuaded and joined the organizations for the wrong reasons. The organizations are based on Christian principles, but they’re not Christian organizations because all of the organizations have members that are of different faiths. I respect their opinion, but I do not find it to be a factual analysis.

2 years later luv this video. So anyways when I got to college I did my research, and at the same library these Greeks organizations are at a student had died during his initiation process. Alot of dudes tried to recruit me but never told me what I would go though, but God already showed me, the truth behind it.

Hey y'all thank you for your honesty. Your testimony reached my spirit on all kinds of levels. I have been able to reconcile with God and repent of my involvement with Alpha Phi Alpha. I heard different murmurs about this but ignored it. I married myself to A Phi A when I was unsaved. Yet since coming to Jesus I began questioning the symbols and emblems of A Phi and my tats with the frat on my body, specifically the Egyptian Sphinx. I have been researching this for several months and after watching y'all really revealed that I had to remove this from my spirit, from my soul. Additionally a personal struggle that has plagued me for years, through God, He used you both to speak to me and choose Him. The cutting out, the revealing of opposing concepts against God, speaking out the fallacies in the philosophy and muddying of the word of God. Thank you both for your courage! I sent my denouncing letter off this morning. I broke DOWN! Do you hear me?! I did the same thing you guys did by substituting God/ Jesus during my rituals but I knew then I wouldn’t be in the org long. I made it almost 4 years and God showed me performing those rituals to the idols (things on the tables) was witchcraft last week. He then told me to let go and don’t look back last Friday. I sent the letter off today. I didn’t break down until on my way to the post office & God gave me Psalm 84:11. When I asked him to remove everything that was not of him earlier this year, he started the pruning process. A relationship gone, a friendship almost gone, and my former sorority….. gone. Lord, give me strength. 😭🙏🏽🧎🏽♀️

I certainly understand what you both are saying from your individual perspectives. God dealt with your husband very bluntly whereas God provided you with the tools to make your decision and he left it up to you to say yea or nah. He speaks to everyone differently and deals with everyone differently. He was matter-of-fact with your spouse and as you stated gave you free will to either keep or neglect your peace. I respect the unity among a black young married christian couple who admittedly sought God's face despite your fleshly desires. I know that is not easy. I was in the process of going through the process with the Delta's and God confirmed not once not twice but three plus times not to go through the process. It was one of the hardest things for me because I knew I wanted to be a Delta since high school. I won't lie I still have the desire to be a Delta but not enough to defy God. It is really about personal conviction.

I got rejected from Delta after I paid $500. Crazy mistake on my part. I was young. My mother had just become a widow and she we couldn't really afford it. But I thought it would change my life. I was so lost. I see it now that God blocked it. It really hurt at the time.
That all depends, Alexus. Are you involved with the AKA's activities? If not, then you ARE missing out. However, if you are participating is social programs, educational programs and community service, then maybe you aren't missing the service that these ladies perform.
Same. Folks rejection is truly God's protection. 👏🏽 In highschool I was even invited into the AKA debutante program and was later kicked out.
But Christ did not leave it there. Not only did He protect me as a child, He called me into counter cult ministry as a missionary to Mormons in my 20's. And look at God! Gave me total confirmation of why He protected me. I was so affirmed as a discerning Jesus follower and got to know what I was talking about, like the sister said about the pastors sermon.

I'm coming here for some help because I've been telling my mother my aunt and my grandmother all of this she passed away six years ago and wouldn't listen to me I was able to get my mother and my aunt to join Christian Church but they still won't give up Eastern stars or deltas hopefully them hearing from former Greeks will help or get through to them

Since it impacted you that much, think of the other people that will be led to the truth by watching it. That’s a significant piece of your testimony that I wholeheartedly believe you should share. Please share the link or how we can access that that sermon/lesson. I denounced my membership in AKA in October 2019. One of my sisters, one of my spiritual advisors, research, and The Most High himself led to my denouncement. In my opinion, the pastor that breaks all of this down the best is Pastor Fred Price Jr. The whole sermon can be watched by typing in his name followed by the word idolatry. He broke it down so hard that anyone that’s able to still continue their memberships in BGLOs, Freemasonry, Eastern Star, etc., are people whose hearts have been hardened. Message: Watch what/who you worship. Question: can a truly righteous man or woman be in these organizations? HBGLO’s can lead their members into idolatry and all sorts of sin but I personally know some that do not put their membership b4 God. They stick to the positive aspects and avoid the negative. Caucasian organizations have similar rituals and idols but it’s really just a fun thing and something they do at college to make friends and party. They leave the organization at the campus upon graduation. Black orgs take it to this crazy level of basically being a positive GANG. I've got to pals that are Greek affiliated AND the stuff they shared with me about the alleged skanky-janky crap turned me off. I'm past the "Fedora and Sundress" socials and All Star Weekend $500 dinners just to cruise, gaggle and smoke a $200 cigar. Hell, I did that in undergrad for a lot cheaper with classier people!!!!!!!!!! It doesn't take much convincing if you're sane & mature. Sure it looks prestigious to wear the Frat monogram, but I would get bored with 300 men clout chasing with no personal life goals outside of "group think,!"

😂If you would simply believe more in your faith and less in an organization, there'd never be a need to denounce the organization. Someone on my line renounced a few years after pledging and then 15 years later, realized doing so wasn't necessary. They simply dedicated more time to their faith & family than they did the organization and found a life balance which allowed them to serve both. All these demons are in your own minds. Ain't nothing in these streets but some letters and colors. Stevie Wonder said it best "when you believe in things that you don't understand, YOU suffer."

Before I started college (Tuskegee), at 17 years of age, I first prayed and asked God which school He wanted me to attend: Tuskegee, or another college closer to home in California. After praying, He told me -- with confirmations later on -- Tuskegee. So I went. While there, I got exposed to Greek life, but wasn't quite sure if I wanted to pledge to any of the fraternities. They seemed to be treated like royalty around campus, but something inside of me kept convicting me that this wasn't for me -- especially since only JESUS should be treated as royalty. So, just as I did before going off to college, I prayed to God again -- this time ASKING if I could join a fraternity. His answer: No. "No?" I thought. I couldn't quite understand at first, especially since my good friend and campus Men's Bible Study President was in a fraternity and appeared to be a well-respected man of God. Yet, God was saving from SOMETHING and this video, like so many others out there, confirm what He was saving me from (i.e., false god and idol worship, etc.). I have also tuned in to this video because a distant relative in a divine 9 fraternity has been asking me for quite some time about pledging, the latest just last week. However, my convictions have not changed since my undergraduate years, nor has God changed His mind. So, your video was both an eye opener and confirmation for me, and I appreciate your obedience to the Lord, because it's videos like this that will set the captives free. Thank you both for letting God use you.

@batonbeauty Even if they denounced AFTER graduation, the important step is that they denounced. Not everyone receives a revelation about a thing all at once. Some people receive a revelation about a thing almost immediately, while for others, it may take years. Who's to say that individuals that denounce AFTER graduation finally received their revelation at that point in time? I actually had a friend in college that denounced after our sophomore year. This was the moment in time that he realized that Greek life wasn't for him. (His relationship with God also played a role in his denouncement.) That same friend was really talked about by his former frat brothers and wound up transferring to another college at the end of the year. So, individuals may contemplate denouncing and may even witness others do so, but may also witness how denouncing members are treated. It may register at that point in time that the organization isn't for them, or years later, they may recall what they witnessed and at THAT time, feel that they too must denounce from the organization.
@batonbeautyYou are right, I totally agree with you: some people do idolize their political organizations, including fraternities and sororities. I've never agreed with this, and have never agreed with the pride it produces in certain ones (in Greek organizations, that is). We should be humble in the eyes of God, and should be never place anything above Him, including our little human "statuses." In fact, while attending Tuskegee University, I can remember a businessman from Columbus, Georgia teaching us that the word status is an acronym. S.T.A.T.U.S = Still Too Arrogant To Understand Success.
So, we should all remain humble and never high minded, nor should we ever place any affiliation above God.

I never joined a fraternity. Every once in awhile, i would think maybe i should? My decision not to join was mainly why do I have to go through all that I've heard of, just to be part of a group? I guess I'm a loner at heart anyway

I'd like to know the difference between Christian principles and Muslim principles and Jewish principles.
Basically:
1. Christians believe that Jesus is the way the truth and the life. We believe that Jesus came as the promised Messiah suffering, dying, because of our sins taking on the wrath of God that we deserved on himself because he loved us he rose again so that we would have eternal life with him and destroyed sins and deaths power over us. When we put our trust in him we become saved from sin and death, his blood covers are sins so when God sees us he sees Jesus sacrifice and our sins are forgotten. We believe that God is three persons in one God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Non Messianic Jews believe that the Messiah has not come yet. They follow the law (for the most part). They don't acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah (that's rough overview I'm still learning). This is a man made religion, that refuses to acknowledge the fact that Jesus came.
Muslims believe that Jesus was a good prophet, sent by Allah who is not the God of the Bible. It's not biblical at all it's a man made religion.

Coming from a background of counter cult ministry, seminary educated and ministering specifically to Mormons during a season of my life...it's interesting to see the glo apologists in the comments. They sound EXACTLY like offended/triggered/conflicted Mormons aka LDS. I've never been a part of a GLO. But as a Black Woman it breaks my heart to see our community be part of any cult.

Great question, the difference is that you pledge, kneel on a altar dedicated to this false god, bring sacrifices before this false god and make a covenant (agreement) SPIRITUALLY to do and/or uphold what this false god requires masked behind "the good work of the organization, brotherhood/sisterhood, etc.
Yes, anything can become a false idol. Fitness clubs and the other examples you listed, the difference is you've built that altar yourself and placed these things before God where in fraternities, sororities, freemasonry, eastern stars, etc. these evil altars were already established.

In 2010 I was going to coppin my cousin and I wanted to join DST even though I was a freshman I wanted to join when I became a sophomore. I’m thinking about being in a sisterhood and being with likeminded women like me also I loved to step and I wanted my letters! Now what turned us off was the money they was asking for, knowing I had a baby to care for! I never pursued to join again! And knowing what I know now I would have been ignoring my child and I would have been fighting!!

I too have never idolized my Sorority in any way; however, what I came to realize is that it's not about me, it's about what the Lord thinks about the organization I am ceremonially bonded too. Is He okay with these said prayers, rituals, and a certain emblem that has a false/demonic goddess atop of the shield? Is He ok with being apart of an organization founded on Christian principles, but never references His son Christ in the ritual prayers or ceremonial practices? This is not about what we deem as right or wrong, but what He does.

I agree. I have been a member of my sorority for 21 years and I have never idolized the sorority. These two are young and giving a very immature perspective. They sound like people who are just coming to Christianity and misinterpreting the organizations. If a video on RUclips can sway them it seems like they’re easily persuaded and joined the organizations for the wrong reasons. The organizations are based on Christian principles, but they’re not Christian organizations because all of the organizations have members that are of different faiths. I respect their opinion, but I do not find it to be a factual analysis.

Maybe you joined the organization for the wrong reason and not understand the FOUNDATION of the organization when it was founded, NOT when you became a member. Yes some may have manipulated the process but YOU have to understnad the FOUNDATION on WHY an organization was formed.

2 years later luv this video. Lol he broke the chair 😂 but I had a vision of me pledging and I knew it was a sign from God telling me what I would go through, and I told my girlfriend and she said hmm u should listen then. So anyways when I got to college I did my research, and at the same library these Greeks organizations are at a student had died during his initiation process. Alot of dudes tried to recruit me but never told me what I would go though, but God already showed me, the truth behind it.
I'm not joining I'm staying with Christ that's the true living God. A man cannon serve two masters. Also, another reason why I wanted to be in one so bad is that I had teachers and counselors who pledge, but they couldn't even tell me what they went through. So that was a red flag as well.

When you're at the greek letter altars, Mason/eastern star altars, etc what god are you performing those rituals and ceremonies for? Yeshua Hamashiach (JESUS) is the true light, and we are to put the light on the lamp stand for the world to see. The sororities, fraternities, secret societies all say they have a light, but it's under the lamp stand with a veil. When you cross over what do you think you're crossing over to? When you get your new name who are you? When you take the oath who is it to?
