Great video, but I do find it difficult to charge a client $23 for a tee when they can get similar in town for half of that, how do I justify. Yes I realize the costs of product and time spent, but it feels to me to be too high, like it would shove them away. The way I Calculate is length x width ÷2 and this should be my over all design cost, then add in shirt and you are nearly where you came up, and I still have a guilty pang as to charging that..... how do you get past that? Mine is a side hobby, not full time job too though.
You gotta focus on quality and service this will keep them coming back and the guy down the street is not giving them a comparable product. You will not get every job and nor do you want ever job. They want cheap let them go down the street and in most cases the minimum is to high so they will come to you.
Hello friend. Just think, this was a stick image/design. Imagine if you spent 2 hours researching/gathering reference material for a customer who has given you little direction but this idea the had. Then after you gathered reference, spent 2-3hours perfecting the design and presenting this masterpiece to the customer and they ask for a this and that revision. Another 30 min to an hour and u think it's tits. Present it to them and then they want another revision. And another. Then ya have 8 hours just in design. And another 1-3 hours in communication. Would you feel like ylu are rlpoing them off then? Your time is more valuable than you realize I suppose. Time is the only thing we can not buy more if or take back. When you're working, you don't have that time for you, family, friends, fur babies, or whatever . What do you look at when you go buy your cloth6, milk, fruit, car, tires whatever? Let the cat down the street charge $ 11. What quality will their product be? You sound the time in researching materials, and learning programs. When present yourself as an expert, people will gladly pay more for your work. If ya use crap materials, your designs are crooked or off center, you're the $11 a shirt guy. Be an expert. Be authentic, be happy.
What about quantity pricing? My total cost is pretty much the same whether you do 24 48 100 of the same order with minimal differences. When I go from 24 to 48 to 96 or whatever my jumps are do you drop in price by a set percent each jump?
Hello! if i had a order of 500 shirts and they wanted front and back and i ordered gang sheets this would be $19.22 a shirt? total 9610.00 that is what i am getting.
The profit margin that you decide on is up to you, but generally speaking, you will want a higher margin on smaller orders, and can take a bit smaller of a margin on larger orders. Exactly what that should be is highly dependent on how your business is set up, so this was just to give a general guideline.

Aligning transfers to the garment is where I spend most if my time. Should I upgrade to a larger press? Using a 15x15 now.

@@mikeferretti7422 working in some price breaks by percent is usually the best route.

Yes this is correct.
I saw your video a quantity of 10 .
At 50%. But do you have a guide a column guide with different quantities and what percent we should be charging..

How much you add if you want to price at 60%?
This is the website with the equation we used! www.omnicalculator.com/finance/margin
What if I charge 40% how would you add that?
Use a profit margin calculator like this:www.omnicalculator.com/finance/margin
Well I will pay for some custom decal shirts..anyone?
