Patsy was not just an awesome singer, but a wonderful, down to earth person. I've been inside her humble home in Winchester, VA. She not only designed her own clothes for her shows, she also sat at her sewing machine and made them. Btw, I love your reactions.
Romance sold records back when. And so did talent. Hypnotizing indeed. Consider that "Sweet Dreams" is two minute forty seconds long, but getting lost in the sauce of the song stretches that time out by what feels like another gorgeous minute. Also check out "Walkin' After Midnight" and "Tennessee Waltz".
My grandmother used to play Patsy Cline albums on repeat when I was a young girl. I remember how upset she was at her tragic premature death. I think the culture has changed so much concerning love. I’m afraid so many think sex and love are synonymous. Being there for someone, and wanting to spend your life with someone seem distant memories.
There is a video of Patsy with Bobby Lord singing "Remember Me, I'm the one who loves you". Fun video. Bobby never hit it big but did have his own TV show for years and was an excellent singer as you will see. Take a look.
You should check out the movie "Sweet Dreams" which is a story about her life, Jessica Lange plays Patsy Cline and does an excellent job. Patsy was especially known for her love songs, she was a great singer but her love songs are what made her extremely loved and famous.
Like "Faded Love" you can hear Patsy crying in this song. She has a natural cry in her voice to begin with, but in "Faded Love" by the end of the song, she will break your heart. I just don't understand how Patsy can sing perfectly while she's crying??? I hope l'm making sense to you. Patsy voice has a yodeling-cry, as it slides into her growl. It's hard to describe her voice. I just can't find the right words.
Patsy Cline is the standard for true singing, not screaming, talking your way through a song, or using a song too show off your operatic narcissistic Diva./ "look what I can do, especially me..." Patsy becomes the song, like Karen Carpenter, Linda Ronstadt, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Roberta Flack, Joni James, Judy Garland, and so many others. Patsy Cline's performances crosses over the stupid musical preference e line and becomes a song interpreter for country, popular, and rhythm and blues all mixed into one.
You should check out Patsy Cline singing Faded Love or Lifes Railway. For earlier Patsy listen to Stop the World and Let Me Off or Two Cigarettes in an Ashtray.
amazing voice. please do the song by her called " I'm hungry for love" is the name of it and it's cheerful it's fast and one of her rocking blues song that you wil probably thatl like. she has a lot of more upbeat songs but her producer liked her to do the slow songs she wanted to do others her and her producer used to fight about it. but yeah check out the song "im hungry for love"

I always get chills hearing that opening note.
PERFECTION.
This, along with may songs of this era, is called a "torch" song, as in "carrying a torch" or longing, as you said.
👏👏👏 My favorite Patsy Song! Thanks Ace… Greatest female voice of all time!
Song written by the late, great Don Gibson.
Another stunning vocal from Patsy Cline. Gone too soon. ❤
Absolutely amazing song. She was incredible. 🎶

A shame she was taken from us so young. The world was deprived of a beautiful voice.
I for one am very pleased to have grown up during a time of great passion and love.
Here's another one, Walking After Midnight its another good one, great reaction.

Her song"Crazy" 1st time catching your reaction. Loved it

Check out 13 year old LeAnn Rimes. Close your eyes and you might think it's Patsy. (cut and Paste) "LeAnn Rimes - Blue (Official Music Video)"
Patsy was my mom's favorite. Thank you for a great reaction.

This was recorded before her death and released afterwards.

I Fall to Pieces
The movie 🎬 they did of her live starring Jessica Lang was called SWEET DREAMS. 😂❤😂
To truly know how special and great she was, this is the song!
Good one, Ace!
Owen Bradley at his best too! He produced it and he just let her do her thing.
She never got to sing this live or hear it on the radio as she was killed before she could.
You should review she's got you.
Try "Faded Love " by Patsy
