This is one of the best country voices around. Patsy had so many great hits such as "Crazy", "She's Got You", "Walkin' After Midnight", "So Wrong", "Leavin' On Your Mind", "I Fall To Pieces" "San Antonio Rose", "Blue Moon Of Kentucky", "Half As Much", "He Called Me Baby", "Faded Love" etc. She was only 31 when she died in a plane crash in 1963. In 1985 Jessica Lange starred in the movie about Patsy's life called "Sweet Dreams".
What just happened is an extremely gifted Lady sang a song to YOU! And you responded the same way MILLIONS of people before you responded. You swooned! She made you feel like she was singing this to you and it made you feel special, cared for, and needed! This is how special this lady was. She evoked emotions from everyone that listened to this vocal masterpiece! Amazing that someone singing a song brings these feelings out of us. I’m glad you took the time to listen to this very special lady and her perfect voice! Proof that we don’t need to degrade each other with foul mouthed lyrics. This song transcends race, gender, and most of all, TIME!
My mother was a good woman, but hard. A child of the depression and an orphan at age 12. I only saw her cry twice in my lifetime. Once was the day Patsy Cline died. The "dreamlike quality" you hear in the music was known as "the Nashville sound" and it was done to turn country music into a more acceptable form for the Yankee audience. It revolved around Patsy Cline, Ray Price and Jim Reeves. People in nice clothes rather than jeans and cowboy hats. It didn't work but the music was good.
How many female singers can cry while singing & still be perfect? Only Patsy! If you haven't yet, you need to hear Patsys version of "Faded Love" the ending will rip your heart out!!! Soon to be 61 years that she left us & we still talk about her! I'm still hoping someone finds a lost reel of songs that have never been released. New music by Patsy would be wonderful! I'm dreaming big🎉😊
Another great song written by the Great Don Gibson . When will he be featured. No wonder a good part of his songs are about unhappy affairs. Blue Blue Day, Oh Lonesome Me. Lonesome Number One, Legend in My Time, I Cant stop Loving You. Come on Tasha , how about some respect for Don Gibson!
You should know that KD Lang considered herself a possible reincarnation of Patsy Cline, and her original band was called The Reclines for that reason. At that time her style was over-the-top country western with a wild twist.
Lyrics Sweet dreams are made of this Who am I to disagree I travel the world and the seven seas Everybody's looking for something Some of them want to use you Some of them want to get used by you Some of them want to abuse you Some of them want to be abused Sweet dreams are made of this Who am I to disagree I travel the world and the seven seas Everybody's looking for something Hold your head up, keep your head up, movin' on Hold your head up, movin' on, keep your head up, movin' on Hold your head up, movin' on, keep your head up, movin' on Hold your head up, movin' on, keep your head up Some of them want to use you Some of them want to get used by you Some of them want to abuse you Some of them want to be abused Sweet dreams are made of this Who am I to disagree I travel the world and the seven seas Everybody's looking for something Sweet dreams are made of this Who am I to disagree I travel the world and the seven seas Everybody's looking for something Sweet dreams are made of this Who am I to disagree I travel the world and the seven seas Everybody's looking for something Sweet dreams are made of this Who am I to disagree I travel the world and the seven seas Everybody's looking for something Sweet dreams are made of this Who am I to disagree I travel the world and the seven seas
I saw a comment below that Don Gibson wrote and recorded it first! Patsy’s voice is awesome but the song sounded like it was written for a man’s view “I should have known you’d never wear my ring”!👏
One of the greatest singers of all time. Any genre. Thanks for a great reaction to a great song!
Absolutely. She’s the GOAT of all female vocalists. 🎶🎼🎵

Didn't she also record Tennessee Waltz?
Patti Page had a big hit with Tennessee Waltz back in 1950. @@P-M-869
I don't think you even have to add the qualifier "country" voices. She had one of the best voices, period.
The incomparable Patsy Cline. She had so many awesome songs in her all to short career.

Well said!
I agree well said.
Put the cry in country! Best pipes ever!! Such control, emotion telling such story like no other!!

One of the best ever. Such pure vocals. WOW just WOW
Song was written by Don Gibson who also wrote several sung by Ray Charles. Patsy Cline does it the best. RIP young lady, you were one of a lifetime.
Delores O’Riordan, Patsy Kline, Edith Piaf, Linda Ronstadt .. the Mount Rushmore of female vocalists.
Explore her whole catalog. She recorded hundreds of songs. Each one a gem in its own right.

Beautiful reaction tasha you did it proud thank you.
Patsy Cline is in a LEAGUE OF HER OWN 🎵🎶🎼💜💜💜🎵🎶🎼
She sure is my friend.

She was such a great inspiration to K.D. Lang that K.D. named her back up band the ReClines.
Very few people have this kind of talent.

Love her. Have her greatest hits CD and love to turn off the lights, light the candles, sit and listen or dance to her music with my hubby.

Faron Young actually recorded it after Gibson but prior to Patsy's version and the lyric used you'll never wear my name.
Right up there with mis. Carpenter.
amazing voice
GREAT REACTION.
Imo, Patsy's 2nd best song
Gorgeous song!! 😊
Amazing. Thanks Tasha nice reaction.
Please check out Chris Melanson from Canada the song is Room's For Rent it is the best REAL country song i have heard in a long time.
Patsy transcends time
It’s definitely sad that she died so young. I believe she was only 30 y/o
So beautiful!!!
