    Very nice.
    They really should give you both options, Like the icom 706 does.
    I might have to consider doing this as my radio is in a place where the side mic would be nicer.

    i like to rebuild the old D-104 lolipop mics. I never thought about using chokes like that inside to help prevent the feedback they are so notorious for. I already replace the cartridge wires leading down the neck with small coax and that helped, as well as a ferrite choke on the cord itself. This opens up a whole new area to experiment with :)

    Been waiting on somebody to do this! I hate front mics in a mobile. Unless they are going in a cubby hole.

    Question. The new Cobra amfm nightwatch radio is it tunable and what performance would you expect from it.. thank you.

      I bought the Cobra 29ltd Chrome AM/FM from Bell's and Screwdriver did a fantastic job peaking it out. The performance is superb!
