    So refeeds are basically for diet adherence. I remember reading something by Lyle McD that a day isn't even long enough to raise leptin, which is what most people think it does.

    For a refeed in a mini cut would you go back up to maintenance or keep the deficit and just use protein / fat calories for extra carbs

    • @Wildkoala1
      @Wildkoala1 4 года назад

      DanTheMan94 you shouldn’t do a refeed during a mini cut

    If this is what a mini cut is could you touch on what an actual normal cut is and on what circumstances it would be used for i.e it sounded like only for a contest etc?

    Didn't Mike say that it was a good idea to do a low volume phase in a minicut to resentesize for high volume later (lauch into a massing phase)?

    • @ReviveStronger
      @ReviveStronger  5 лет назад

      No! You want to train at MEV but that doesn't mean you're doing low volume

    on a minicut can you raise volume week to week ?if yes where your volume starts week 1 mv or mev?

    • @ReviveStronger

      You can but I'd be cautious with it. It feels alright in the beginning but can give you a false perception

      I will by the last week, if I’m not totally fatigued out. But I also start my first week at a [considerably] lower volume than I would if I wasn’t on a calorie deficit.

    Steve, can I split all my Mini Cut Workout training routine in 4 days per week (upper/lower). And for be easy and intense, can I split the volume in AM and PM sessions? So, I will end with 8 very short sessions, about 20/25 min each. Or 3 days full body (AM and PM), so I can do Lower in the morning and Upper at night...

    • @ReviveStronger
      @ReviveStronger  7 лет назад +1

      Theoretically yes, however, a minicut is a short aggressive cut in which recovery is key. Adding more stress throughout the day could be detrimental and potentially disadvantageous for the cut. But give it a try and closely watch your recovery/fatigue

    My maintenance is 2000 calories I cut by 500 calories a day and lost a tonne of muscle. I was on 0.8 protein per pound of body weight and used intermittent fasting biggest mistake I made in my life. Surprised you guys are promoting this... and yes I was doing weights twice a week sometimes 3 times a week.

    • @ReviveStronger
      @ReviveStronger  5 лет назад

      Sorry to hear that. How did you measure that you've lost muscle mass? Have you been in a lab setting? If not, there's no way to quantify muscle loss

    • @romeono1647
      @romeono1647 5 лет назад

      @@ReviveStronger Hi I didn't measure it, I could tell by the fitting of the clothes I.e. the clothes I used to wear were very tight around the biceps now I put them on and they are loose around the biceps. I don't know but it may have been because of intermittent fasting. Have you seen this before and I was losing like 2kg a week for the first few weeks. Then weight loss slowed down.

      Ruby Jessica Fitness but when you think about how many people want the fast quick answers (which are never the best), most people can't listen to this many details. So many people don't want to think, or understand the science. It's much easier to just buy the pill or the supplement.

      On an aggressive deficit, and while I’m trying to keep protein very high, then it’s hard for me to keep fat away. Most protein sources usually have some fat that come along.

      As a natural I get concerned about my hormones/test crashing if I keep my fat too low on a cut. But I agree, carbs are like crack lol

      @@daytonasayswhat9333 This is why pros on contest diets basically live on chicken breast and white fish. It’s about as low-fat as protein sources get.
