- DJI Mini 3 Pro VLOG - Tutorial on the job using the drone from start to finish. There are 7 Tips in here I also address and you can see them in action:
2:23 Shoot Slow and Patient
3:43 Expect to do Retakes
5:12 Commit and Don't Adjust
7:08 When to Adjust Settings
7:50 Don't Work against the Sun
8:56 Get Closer
9:30 Getting Photos Too
12:54 Film until its Awkward
The Mini 3 Pro is capable enough to handle lighting changes much better than the Mini 2 but you still need to know how to make use of this drone the best way possible.
This is to show the drone being used the entire way through so you see you can watch me do it, then do the exact same thing to get cinematic footage.
Absolutely love watching your videos. To the point, great information, and nothing click-bait about you or your channel. Glad you're on youtube for us.
Quick tip: the RC controller threads are size M2.
A pair of M2 domed nuts fit perfectly for more comfortable use without sticks.
Please do more of these shadow/masterclass videos! It is so humbling that you show us you have the same struggles we do, and then encourage and show ways to overcome it. Would love to see more on hyperlapses, sunsets, tutorials etc. too. Please keep the great content coming!
SO helpful. This kind of virtual shadowing is exactly what I’m looking for
Great videos and I love how you show respect to the people and the birds. Good lesson!

I grew up in San Diego in the late '80s and no, I don't recall seeing anything this beautiful. You're indeed lucky. Great footage.

So much info and how to's on youtube for a beginner like myself, but more often than not i gravitate to your vibe of presenting the process. I have so many visuals in my head of how i want to capture things, and your angle makes it easier. Nice!
Using your advice I've already been able to make four videos of my town I'm really happy with within a week of unboxing my DJI mini 3 pro as a total beginner. Really appreciate your pragmatic attitude in the creative space. Thanks!
So helpful , I Love it ! More of that Chief 👏👍 Greetz from Germany Bro ❤️

So happy I discovered this channel!
Value Packed / Entertaining!
"Everything I've learned here i've been able to apply while flying and shooting with my
DJI Mini SE; there's some golden tips here that have helped me grow my small channel!
Great vid mate, keen to test ur tips on my M3
I love your videos. I'm trying to make time where I can to watch more of them. So many content creators post 30 minute videos that have about 7 minutes worth of content and they are too ignorant to realize how badly this hurts them. I love your videos because you say, "In this video I'm covering XYZ, a quick flash of the drone you're talking about or whatever while moving quickly into the content. Then you show what you're talking about while you fly through the information. It's a video...there is a rewind button. if you don't get it the first time, rewind and watch that part again, take notes, screenshots or whatever. By comparison, your 10 minute videos contain about 25 minutes worth of content. So many think people watch their videos to see their cheesy intro art work, but you realize people need short and concise information and you deliver.
@MESSAGE ME ON TELEGRAM @QuickAssTutorialsChannel Yeah, I'll be sure to do that. Do you want my credit card information right here in plain text, or how should I reveal my personally identifiable information to be scammed? You're not the only person that knows how to hide a true link inside test to appear as a valid link. I think idiots like you should be put in jail for 20 years. Alex is a great guy, but I don't think he gives out free drones to random commenters. He may do this for people that sign up for his courses, or run a new video for some kind of give-away to drive his content, but you're so idiotic. Get a life, or catch a bullet. I'm done with you.
THAT WAS AMAZING!!!! maybe a lil baked but that seemed like an entrance to a Nolan Film!
Fantastic... just got the mini 3 pro for my birthday. So far flying is like learning to drive a stick when I was 17... But I know there's hope since my next 2 cars were stick shift on purpose. Videos at the end feel like Scotland or Ireland. Content is superb! many Thanks
Thank you!
Dude...you gotta do more by the ocean...the scenery totally sold it for me. Very informative too
Bro you are like the Good Will Hunting of drones.
Thanks!
100k soon 🔝
you're amazing, I love you
solid bro
Nice, I’m learning a lot from you.
Mavic 3 Classic here, haven’t even launched yet.🤓
Thanks
Great!
Love this location. Thanks for your video, very informative and helpful as always!
I have one question and one suggestion, the question being: why exactly do you shoot your footage at 24 p? You mention yourself that it is a little bit jerky and I do confirm that. I see it all the time with videos on RUclips and it becomes very obvious with drone footage:
The problem is that on the one hand, everybody supposes that 24 p gives to most cinematic look, on the other hand almost everybody ignores the fact that YT videos are displayed on 60 Hz screens (smartphones, computer monitors) 95 % of the time. 24 p in 60 Hz produces judder (google 3:2 pulldown) that gets very obvious if there is a lot of camera movement involved. Drone footage is most prone to this effect because of the nature of drone camera movements (pans and shifts and tilts).
Give it a try: do your drone footage at 30 p on a 30 p timeline and upload it like that to RUclips. It's going to look way less jerky (and even more cinematic!) than 24 p on RUclips. That, in combination with the right ND filters to get to around 1/60 shutter speed, would make the footage WAY less jerky and more cinematic and pleasing to watch, even though not "magical" 24 p.
As an additional bonus: if you ever need that footage in a project that is requested in 24 p (e.g. a production for screening in cinema), put your 30 p drone footage in a 24 p timeline at 80 % speed and you have that magical not-slow-motion-but-more-beautiful-than-reality effect ;)
And my suggestion: I would put the clip at 14:21 BEFORE the clip at 14:16 . That way the "reveal effect" and the surprise moment is more pronounced. As it is now, you fly over the edge at 14:21 and already know what's coming behind the edge.
Best regards,
Tom
Love the videos man, your personality really makes it! BTW any reason you launch from the ground instead of your hand in these dirty areas?
I would love to see you do the actual shooting process with DJI Mini 4 Pro!
Great Video, enjoying and learning a lot from your channel, cheers from Brazil! Let me ask you something, in terrains like these, did you not find it better to take off and landing with the hand?
3. Commit and don't adjust. Very important thing to learn for videoing live on-stage events, too. Ten seconds of pretty good footage is much better than ten one-second shots of the same thing.
Inspiration
This was super helpful thanks man! Where did you get the music at the end? It went perfect with your footage
Awesome!! Do you shoot in D-Cinelike on the Mini 3 Pro? And if so, what does your post colour workflow look like for it?
Your vids are very well done and easy to watch and understand, I would like to buy one of these as an entry point and also do you offer classes or training? For drone and or editing etc .Please let me know, thanks Matt.
there are 4 channels on RUclips that I click Like before the video starts. One is Mirriam Piano, Ian in London playing with drones and a this one (cant recall the other ones). Serious content for serious people with a professional edge.

I appreciate your video and the knowledge that you share. I've been meaning to ask about the 24fps though. Often I notice jagged motion like at 4:42 on the cliff. Previously I had the issue of such choppy movement when I was exporting in Premiere Pro and I didn't use "maximum render quality". It seems to me that shooting at 24fps and playing it on a 60hz monitor inevitably causes choppiness.
Is that your impression too? If so, why do you (and so many others) shoot at 24p. I see it every time and I see no excuse for it (including the "but it's the cinema!").
Would you recommend using ND filters if you will be shooting in auto? Love your content also!
Great tips. I just got the mini 3 and love it so far, except I'm getting vignetting in 12mp photos. Are you getting this, too? 48mp using same settings are fine...
Great video.. whats the cinematic song?
I visited San Francisco years ago, drove down the coast and noticed how empty yet beautiful those beaches were. I had a good camera with me but now imagine how I could have used a drone. I’d say a trip back is warranted.
dope video Alex. quick question do you prefer to shoot in 24 opposed to 30?
Thank you for the great info, surprising how much you can learn in such a short amount of time with a video that takes a day or two to put together.
I’ve given you a like and it’s now jumped to 666, I feel like in need someone to give it another like, very soon, just a problem I have
@ᴛᵉˡᵉᵍʳᵃᵐ ᵐᵉ@officialquickasstutorials don’t want any prizes, thanks for the offer
Great tips! wonder however why you are also not using quickshots and mastershot?
