      @@G82WattsSpeak for yourself dinosaur. The 911 was actually an eyesore until they got back to their senses and brought back the round headlights. The model S Plaid is not just the ultimate sedan, it’s also the ultimate hatchback. Try and fit some surfboards or bicycle in the back of your favorite 911. I digress. I actually hate “sports cars “. They are useless. They pretend to be race cars and they get smoked by the Plaid where all the pissing contests actually take place: from light to light.

      Not sure it's about being demanding more than it's about holding Tesla accountable as no longer a startup company. Meaning when they say something is available it should be available not coming in a few years while charging for it today. Tesla is no longer a fledgling car/software company but a maturing company that should be better at Quality Control at scale and delivering on promised features. If they can master that, then everyone will be happy.

    I went from 21s (Pilot Super Sport) to 19s (Pilot Sport All Season 4) on my 2019 Model S and didn't see any difference in efficiency, basically 310 Wh/mi. The tires have the same rolling resistance, so it makes sense. Most people get the 19s with low-resistance tires, which explains why most people think the 19s are more efficient.
    As for weight differences between the wheel sizes, if you're using regen braking most of the time, you get back most of the energy that you put into turning the wheels, so again it's a wash.
    Great review! I look forward to the day the S goes steer by wire, maybe then I'll finally upgrade. That would make the yoke make sense.

    No rear recline. They really need to add this function in if they want to compete with the big boys on comfort.

    hi black tesla 🤗
    congrats on your new plaid. definitely appreciate your honest review on a vehicle you know you like.
    im still rolling in my 2019 long range with the sunroof (i just can't give it up). i also have fsd and free supercharging.
    one day i'll upgrade to the plaid and will check out your latest video before i do. tfs

      Yes i was like you holding on to the sunroof and unlimited supercharging but gave it up and haven't looked back....except for the supercharging 😉

    You should perhaps use a Circular Polarizer filter so there isn't any glare from things such as your windshield. I think it'd be much better.

    I keep going back and forth with upgrading my 2021 MSP. I already retrofitted/coded the matrix lights and tilt screen. The matrix lights really have no functionality difference as the matrix portion of it isn't activated inside the US yet. HW4 and those new seats I keep wanting to get pretty badly. I dunno I cannot see selling my 21 with 13k miles when there talking about HW5 already. Congrats brother, beautiful example.

    • @BlackTesla
      @BlackTesla  4 месяца назад +1

      If feasible do it now, if not wait until HW5. It's definitely a more refined car, try test driving one to see for yourself. However with 13k miles the hit you'll take will be substantial 🫣

    Is the regenerative braking user change-able? I recently test drove a Model X where I could not....and I hated it. My model 3 allows me to choose how strong the regen braking is.

    Congratulations on the new car, and thanks for this review. You cover all the changes well in a concise and soothing manner, very helpful to me. I also like reminders of the old executive seats and other Tesla trivia.
    I am considering upgrading my 2018 M3 to a new LR Model S or the AWD Model 3. I sat in a new Performance Model 3, and while the seats would be great for autocross, they are not as comfortable or easy to get in and out as the seats in the AWD. I like the smaller dimensions of the M3, but also like the more substantial feel of the Model S. MS also has bigger screen, better audio, and more sofisticated suspension (air + adaptive damping + virtual ball lower A-arm). I am willing to pay extra for the S, but I really want to have both cars.😅

    I agree with the tail lights being pinched is not a good look, however the overall tail light design and the LED is still a huge upgrade. The previous tail lights had clear edges, which made it look so cheap. These new ones have nice black edges.

    • @BlackTesla
      @BlackTesla  4 месяца назад

      Yes the light portion it is much better that's why insaid Model X nailed it keeping the same design while adding the diffused LED look

    I guess my 2016 1/2 P100D is the best of all the models except for the plaid speed because all of the things besides that portrait screen and the rear screen I have. I love having a sunroof, seats are bolstered well, heat and cooling seats, Ambient lighting, 21 or 19 inch wheels, FSD, HW2.5 and ultrasonic sensors :-)

    I like your Model S. I really like my Model 3. I’m so over the car culture thing. A nice quiet car with a great sound system. And the best set of features including the phone app. Also, a motor that takes care of business. I would be so bummed if I had to go back to ICE.

      The 3 is nice compared to the old 3. It's still not nicer than the S. You'll need to drive them both to see what I mean. A lot of people are drawn to the 3 because of the price and it is a great value for the money but it's not in the same class as the S imo.

    I’ve got a June 2023 MSP, running FSD 12.5.4. I’m excited to see your FSD reviews and how well they line up with my experiences. So far, your reviews are going to be the closest to what I see (probably) compared to other reviewers with model y’s. The lack of USS I agree is a huge handicap. And the training models primarily on 3/Y is also evident on the S. Can’t wait my dude! Funny, mine’s white on white 😂

    • @BlackTesla
      @BlackTesla  4 месяца назад +1

      White Tesla! 🤣 yes I've speculated that it appears training data is for 3/Y form factor and negatively impacts S/X hopefully I'm proven wrong or Tesla just fixes it.

    How is the creaking if you push in the sides of the center console up front? My 2022 Plaid feels quite cheap in that regard

    • @BlackTesla

      No squeaking so far and the new seats prevent the seat from rubbing against the console and creating additional creaking
