I love 5PH. It is very entertaining. The combats are simple and quick. The tables for pre and post combat really makes this game shine. You didn't try anything fancy in combat and it paid off. Putting your leader out there was scary. The saw about there aren't any "old bold soldiers" comes to mind, but that Luck Point comes in handy.
Very nice set up! Makes it very immersive with the camera angles, even outside the actual play area. Really inspiring for my batreps! I think those gangers really regret trying to raid your ship :D
Really enjoyed this report, returning to the hobby after a thirty year absence! This looks like a good solo/modeling opportunity. Well done and I'm looking forward to the next exciting episode! Keep up the good work!
@@WeightofFire Just nice to see it in action. Found sone stuff for 2nd Ed, but really wanted to see the new stuff in action, simple without a bunch of house rules or high power stuff. Wanted to pick up the game, but with shipping to U.S. being as much as the book, gonna preorder from FLGS and wait.
Fun game and great table. Where did you get that large round piece of terrain that looks like a giant fan. It was in the far corner of the table. Looks awesome and I've never seen it before.
Great report! My first fight was me getting Raided by 5 Pirates led by a Hired Killer. (And we also manager to Surprise our attackets.) It didn't go as well as this fight, but I also completely forgot about my Story Points and Luck. :)
The pipes are from Mantic games terrain crate. The AC units etc are from antenociti workshop and I’m not sure about the shipping containers maybe microart studios?
5:00 lots of luck on that first shot. 9:10 what about the Panic rolls? 15:13 so... he both moves forward, yet is still pushed back by the stun? Are you sure you've read that rule correctly? I have the second, previous edition, and the Aggressive enemies did not have any special reaction to getting hit. 16:50 yup. To clarify - linear obstacles do not impede shooting, if the shooter is within 3 inches of them. 17:12 that's an oof moment 17:31 yup. Luck is renewable, anyway - you could consider it basically a Wounds stat from Warhammer (with some differences) 21:20 close-range flanking is a good way to end the evening, wherever you are scavenging in Deadzone, conquering turf on Necromunda, or saving the crew of a Black Hawk down in the Ambush Alley.
Yep totally lucked out on the first one. Aggressive must have changed. I did the panic rolls but didn’t film them and they had no effect. Thanks for the clarification on terrain :)
@@WeightofFire yup also, idk if it was changed in the 3rd edition, but linear obstacles also *completely block the line of sight,* if they partially obscure the target, the line of sight crosses the obstacle, and that obstacle is not within 3 inches of either the target or the shooter - but that rule, frankly, isn't THAT critical, ignoring it propably won't break the game. (although it would make getting long-range shots available all the time) 21:47 Just right. 22:27 Adios!

Agree fully

Yeah I think it would be a great way to get back into gaming as no pressure with the only opponent being you
Thanks for this one, gives a really good flavour of the game
Yeah I’m enjoying it a lot
hey awesome batrep...where is the terrain from, it looks awesome!
thanks, its mostly mantic terrain and bits ive acquired over the years
Thanks for the play through, interesting to see the game mechanics, in an uncomplicated way
Thanks i did find it a little tricky to remember some of the bits so hopefully this has simplified it

I enjoyed your gameplay and explanation. This looks like a very entertaining game.
Great report thanks. What model did you use for the ship itself?
It’s a GCPS hornet from Mantic games
Where is that mat from you are playing on? It looks great!
Hi it’s a tablewar / fat mat one. I also love it
Fun game and great table.

I'm glad to see you shook off a rival! They stubbornly hang on sometimes. Terrific Batrep, I'm quite happy to add it to the playlist!
Ah thanks man. Yeah pleased to get rid of those buggers :)

i remembered the luck but forgot all about the story points :)
What's the industrial terrain like the pipes, AC units, and shipping containers? Looks great!
The pipes are from Mantic games terrain crate. The AC units etc are from antenociti workshop and I’m not sure about the shipping containers maybe microart studios?
@@WeightofFire Great thanks! Just getting into this game, I really like the look of your table.
Thanks mate and it is a very good game
Haven't come across this game before, looks good though. Entertaining report, thanks
i only discovered it when modiphius did the re-release but am very happy to have found it
@@WeightofFire something something check out other NWG's games sometimes? 😉
Awesome game. Really like this!
We are loving it tbh
Thumbs up, this looks really good, i bought the book & pdf, but i have been searching for that spaceship you was using, could you link it?
The spaceship I used is a GCPS hornet from Mantic games
@@WeightofFire Many thanks, i need to get hold of a few diferent types of ships.
Good video, thanks. I only roll sixes for ship debt. 🤣
Haha the curse of an expensive ship

nice game! May I ask for the mat producer?
Thanks. The mat is from fatmat I believe
