  • Here are the first foods you want to feed your baby from 6-12 months old. You really want to be careful with babies first foods and stick to basic fruits and veggies, and avoid grains and leafy greens. So many of the baby food and snacks at the store contain arsenic laden rice, grains that the babies system can't digest yet, and ingredients that lack nutrition. Mad love..Bobby, Dessi, Rose, and Art! XOXO

    This is all wonderful advice though I would suggest that we should listen to the over all advice of our pediatricians. Please don’t start your child on a diet without clearing it with them first. As a nurse, I can say some of this is unconventional and not at all backed up by quality science. Giving an infant meats so young can cause very bad constipation. It is the hardest thing for them to digest which is why it is the last thing introduced. This gives the infants digestive system some time to develop. I am interested in the introduction of broth at a young age. You should try and push foods off as close to 6 months as possible but an early introduction will not give your baby allergies at most it may be to much for an underdeveloped stomach to digest. This is all different for every baby so consult your pediatrician. They know your child best. I do love your videos. Your health tips are wonderful advice that seems to help many people. I for one love that you show people actual products that are good for them.

    • @abigaila7341
      @abigaila7341 4 года назад +3

      Fade Agreed. Breast milk is great. However, it doesn’t have everything. Unless momma is taking enough vitamin D, baby won’t get enough vitamin D. Pediatricians are now telling breastfeeding mommas to put vitamin d drops in breast milk when giving them a bottle to prevent rickets and the vitamin d in multivitamins are no where near enough to pass on to baby.

    • @Marylikealways

      Fade breast milk is better for the baby but some women can’t breastfeed. I couldn’t with my first and had to use formula. So this time around, if that happens again, I’d at least like to know what formula is the best option.

    not to be negative but if i raise my baby so delicately, they probably will become very picky eaters. and probably have trouble handling heavier foods. i as a baby drank milk straight from goats and cow. and then whole grains and lentils as i got older. by 3 years old, i ate adult food at same spice level. i eat everything. my wife was raised more delicately, she only eats chicken and no red meat or fish and very little dairy like yogurt.

Me as an adult, I started a weight loss journey and for 6 straight months ate nothing but Bobby approved foods, whole nourishing, unprocessed foods. When I started introducing bad foods again, I felt so sick from my stomach, I couldn't handle the foods I could easily eat before with no problem. I'm not so sure about this video. It honestly goes against quite a few things that my daughter's (8 months) pediatrician has recommended. The latest research is showing that exposure to the early foods at 4 months is actually reducing the likelihood of allergies. The AAP recommends introducing allergen foods as early as 4-6 months. Yes, their diet should still be composed of milk at that point but introduction of it is what's important. Another things is that I don't agree with your recommendation of not starting cereals. Between the ages of 6-9 months, a baby's iron stores start to deplete, which is why an iron fortified cereal is recommended as one of baby's first foods by the AAP as well. Our doctor has also told us that legumes, eggs, etc is important starting at 9 months. Anyways, I would be intrigued as to where you all have gotten your information for this video. I do feel that this advice *could* be a little dangerous. But otherwise, I do love your videos!

    Great video guys. These are the things that only thorough research are you gona be aware of; the companies won’t tell, just sell. My pediatrician definitely told us to start our daughter (now toddler) on one food at a time, to have her try vegetables (not fruits) first and to not give her any grains until around the two year mark. People tend to think ok, these things are good for us, so why not, but like you said, a baby’s digestive system just can’t handle it. It’s no coincidence our children end up with the body mass of a 16 year old when they’re only like 10; it all can be traced back to nutrition, barring having any medical condition(s).

  • @GiulioGiorcelli
    @GiulioGiorcelli 3 года назад +4

    I understand the good intentions behind this video but a lot of the things mentioned in this video are incorrect if not outright dangerous. Not giving grains to infants (high quality and in moderate doses, of course) before 1 or 2 years of age dramatically increases the occurrence of Celiac disease, wheat allergy, type 1 and 2 diabetes and autoimmune diseases later in life often in irreversible ways. The statement that babies cannot digest grains is hairdresser salon science. Be careful, there's a lot a misinformation out there

    Our understanding of leafy greens is that if they are pressure cooked in small amounts they have concentrated nutrition without the anti-nutrients. Also the anti-nutrients in peas are neutralized if pressure cooked, but generally aren't as nutritious as other vegetables.

  • @NatalieDavis
    @NatalieDavis 4 года назад +8

    Not trying to be rude or anything, i love you guys but, many of the foods that u mentioned are definitely okay to eat at 12 months! It seems like The only things that the child can eat are fruits, veggies, and meat according to u. Which is how u eat at home. It seems like its a very restrictive diet for a developing child. I personally Introduced meat to my son when he was 12 months, nd this is what my pediatrician told me to do. Proteins are hard to digest, especially animal ones. So giving your child meat at 6 months is wrong in my opinion. Also, theres nothing wrong with grains if u dont have gluten intolerance. I don’t understand this whole “gluten free” trend right now, unless you have serious gut issues! 10 years ago everybody was eating everything, nd had no idea what the heck gluten was until this whole “gluten free” thing started..

    • @marbledillon
      @marbledillon 4 года назад +1

      I agree about gluten free. Unless one has celiac disease or maybe an allergy or skin issues there is absolutely no reasons to avoid grains nutrition wise - which is what I'm all about - eating nutrition dense clean foods.

      @@annmarie4794 Thats not true, I am not rich and I buy what I can, and there are many people now DIY, setting up their own homsteads, or community farming, There are other options search in your community. JOIN with other is unity to create things, we all have creative power, don't buy into that lie, if you all join together and pinch, you can set up your own community garden, thatsa first step, and it grow from there. Bobby started with a small channel on youtube and grew by a lot, small steps one day at a time. BTW what is considered traditional farming, is they way many poor people eat around the world, with their own homestead. We are actually living a contradiction and the side effects of the industrialized food system.
