      Looks like cast iron and cast steel to me when you're doing marching on them pieces. Very awesome work dude. I hope you make more machines after your lathe and now a mill. Damn nice work Thanks for the videos.

      It seems to me most of his stock comes from scrap piles and junk. I have only seen maybe some bearings, switches and that motor that might have been purchased outright from a store.

    you are going to want a better way of locking the chuck... that small screw hitting the plate is not going to hold very well during any milling operations, vibration will loosen it.... drilling indexing holes or a high pressure clamping mechanism is better.

      Ramiro M totally right. So many other motorcycle parts, why not a brake caliper?

    • @wibblywobblyidiotvision
      @wibblywobblyidiotvision 6 лет назад

      Yeah, +1 for drilling indexing holes. Positive locking FTW.
      With 36 holes on the periphery and a 10-position index, you can index to 1° increments pretty easily in "vernier" fashion. That sort of setup shows up in Joe Pieczynski's video on indexing here : ruclips.net/video/_qYdcolOhGQ/видео.html
      Alternatively, make up multiple indexing discs for the increments you need most, that's a pretty common approach.
      Awesome video series, BTW. Great work!

    Черезчур много наворчено . Нет смысла столько делать .Лучше иметь два или три разных станка .Деталей очень много , их хватит для трех станков . Мотор должен иметь три скорости и тогда все проще получаеца .

    • @Homemadelathemachine
      @Homemadelathemachine  3 года назад

      Это фрезерный станок, один со стандартными функциями. Зачем три фрезерних станка для каждой функции отдельно? Не понял вашего комментария, что вы имели ввиду.

    Am I the only one that feels like he should indicate the objects he chucks up more before cutting? Sometimes It seems like the wobble he has going on some of these things seems, unstable and wasteful. Not to be harsh, just my reaction.
