steel porn. watched this 1 hr now. : ) its just a little iron, screws, some good drilled holes, planning, and the standard best ofs.. rexroth, nema42, high level ballscrews..

@@erwinz5926 Being in the form of a desktop mill, one assumes that it was build to mill metals. Indeed, the maker doesn't say the level of precision he was seeking, but I am pretty sure the machine is in the range of tens of a millimeter (hundreds of an inch). Which is more than ok for hobby projects. And that is where ''ok'' ends.

Hello there. I have been watching some Milling machine builds tonight on here and bro this is awesome. How much was all that steel costing u for this build?? That had to be bloody expensive but I guess a top of the line CNC Milling Machine like this that u built from scratch would be a very expensive machine indeed.. U made it look easy. Who milled all of the steel parts in the 1st place??? That Lead screw looked far different than anything I'd ever seen before. What was the specs of that one u used. I normally use 16mm or 20mm but the Lead and pitch looked so far superior than the ones I normally use in my builds. I hope I'm making some sense here bcos I do not have the expertise u showed on this video.
I'm building my own Table saw soon.
I also noticed u didn't weld one single piece like other have. I know it can warp the metals on a project but u never used a welder in this video.
Can I ask u one Question if u don't mind my friend..
    Q. Would it make a difference welding Metals that thick? It looked like u were using 1/2" steel or 3/8" steel plate. Was that all stainless steel u used in this build bro??
I'm going to stop asking questions and waffling now and finish by saying how impressive ur workmanship was in the build. WOW bro I wish I could build one of those milling machines. U have great skills and knowhow.
Salute to u Sir from Dublin, IRE..
