All the Pokemon that are on your team when you beat Mount Battle will get a Unique Ribbon, which was mainly only valued by Ribbon Collectors for the longest time till Gen 8 added the Title System... So if you manage to transfer a Mount Battle Winner from Colosseum/XD:GoD to RSE (from RSE then back) then DPP Then BWB2B2 THEN use Poketransfer to inject the Pokemon into Pokebank *THEN* transfer it to Pokehome and lastly into SWSH you'll get a Unique Title for sending out your Pokemon into battle that states "Go --- The 100x Victorious!", which I'd consider one of the ultimate badges of respect if you're the one who did all the transferring+work and didn't just trade for it. (As a side note Purified Shadow Pokemon also get a Unique Ribbon and Title that states "Go --- The Triumphant!")

I preferred Colosseum to XD. While XD did fix some of the gameplay issues, mostly regarding shadow pokemon and added some wild pokemon, the difficulty is noticeably easier. Also, they toned down the maturity and grittiness of the story and world that was in Colosseum. Wes is also just a lot cooler than Michael

I was 6 years old when Pokémon Colosseum came out. I remember my first time playing it when I got home. And it blew my mind. If was exciting and it told a compelling and dark story that was WAY ahead of it's time for me. Everything from the graphics, Pokémon animation, background designs, & my favorite the soundtrack. Why The Pokémon Company won't put out a remastered version for the Switch on the E-store along with RSE is beyond me. is They would sell like hot cakes considering how most of us 2000s kids who grew up with Pokémon fondly remember them and how good they were.

Really Well Made Video!!! I've always wanted a retrospective on both Colosseum and XD that gave the game a lot more respect and information on the games. Most of the videos I've seen on them are of people who didn't play all the way cause it was too sluggish, people who didn't grow up with the games, or gave too short of a review to really grasp what the game was like and all the extra content it had. Even considered making videos on them since no one else did for a long time now, but this video is everything I wanted and more!
Grown up with these games for a long time now. Totally relate to how you say these games have a lot of charm and are inspired to Final Fantasy games. Even cool Reference to the E-Reader Cards and Jirachi/Celebi Disks. Seeing those Trailers for the games to is so Frickin' Nostalgic. Makes me want to play them over again for the 5th time now. I do agree how these games can be a chore when it comes to everything taking so long. Super grateful to the Modding community for fixing stuff like that or even adding Randomizers n' stuff. But overall really awesome videos and love how if I watch this video over and over again that I'll pick something new up again.

I disagree in that Plusle is a low tier Pokemon, I'd actually argue that Plusle is one of if not the best Pokemon in the entire game.
Because Plusle is a traded Pokemon and as soon as you get the Plusle you'll get access to the EXP share. By this time you also should have Quagsire or Croconaw with Surf. Because Plusle with the traded bonus XP and the XP share will be getting a 5x XP multiplier, something gets 100 XP, Plusle will get 500 XP. If you give Plusle the XP share and just Helping Hand spam Surf the Agate fights and gauntlet before Dakim Plusle will easily be in the mid to late 30s by the time you fight Dakim in just 14 measly fights easily caught up and surpassing your primary team. This spirals so much out of control that by the end of the game when your team is in it's early to mid 50s Plusle can be in it's 70s with minimal grinding.
Plusle's speed and special attack are incredible stats on their own merits and because Plusle will be so overleveled it will be the fastest thing on the field every time outspeeding even Sneasel, Espeon and Raikou and hitting harder than Ampharos and Raikou too.
Not only that but Plusle's movepool is actually really amazing, something that no other Colosseum pokemon can boast about, they all have 1 role and stick to this gameplan. Plusle actually learns too many amazing moves to choose so you have to decide on what team you're building and how Plusle can fit into it. Some amazing moves Plusle learns
Helping Hand: With so many powerful spread moves like the abundance of Surf, Blizzard and Razor Leaf adding a multiplier will shred through weak fights easily.
Fake Tears: An alternative to Helping Hand, this allows Plusle to target a single enemy with a -2 special defense drop, when combined with the above spread moves this can let you double ko an opponent who is weak and a neutral opponent in the same turn in a way Helping Hand would never accomplish. You can also use this with any special attacker to just 1 shot an enemy every turn.
Dual Screens: A shockingly sparse move on Colosseum's cast being so fast Plusle will always get it's screens up.
Thunder Wave: Not only is this an effective disruption but when combined with Haryama this can allow Plusle and Haryama to target individual enemies with a Thunder Wave Smellingsalt combo.
Encore: If the enemy ever uses a setup move, and a lot of enemies, particularly boss Pokemon will always begin every fight with a setup move, making use of it's blinding speed Plusle can essentially free lock an enemy into spamming a useless move, for instance if an enemy starts a fight with Rain Dance Plusle can spend it's second turn Encoring them into Rain Dance and turn the fight into an effectively 2v1 for the next 2-6 turns depending on your luck.
Baton Pass/Agility: There's a lot of slow Pokemon in Colosseum that an Agility boost would help greatly, personally I'm not a huge fan of this strat because Plusle has so many other options that enable so many other pokemon that I can't in good faith sacrifice Plusle's role in my team to setting up a singles strategy. It can work though if you really wanted to and is your only choice for and passing strategy.
Rain Dance: There's a lot of pokemon that benefit from rain, Thunder, Surf and even fire resistance are all incredibly useful attributes to have on such a fast pokemon. Rain Dancing and having your Suicune or Feraligatr spamming a rain boosted surf on turn 1 then having helping hand or fake tears + rain empowered Surfs starting turn 2 onwards isn't something any pokemon can handle.
Thunder: Finally the attacking move of choice for Plusle, using a rain strategy this makes Plusle even better than Raikou and Ampharos as an electric type because he's faster and stronger thanks to his level advantage. This also gives Plusle a hail mary in strategies that don't use rain or sun since sun nerfs Thunder's accuracy. You can use Spark or even Thunderbolt if the TM isn't better used for coverage but frankly if you're not running Thunder don't even bother with any attacking move and go full support.
Plusle enables so many pokemon, both S and low tier pokemon alike you're really doing yourself a disservice not at least trying out this godlike support Pikachu clone. I'd say the only team comp Plusle doesn't fit in is Sun comps but even then Encore, Tears, Thunder Wave and Screens would be amazing traits to have, even Baton Passing an Agility to enable some crazy sweeping Magcargo, Sudowoodo, Medicham or Piloswine comp if you really wanted to make those work.

The lack of connection between Gen Ⅱ and Gen Ⅲ has nothing to do with the conversion formula being too complex. The formula is not even close to being too complex, an old Game Boy could easily convert a Pokémon data structure from any of Gen Ⅰ or Gen Ⅱ to any of the Pokémon data structures from Gen Ⅲ all the way up to Gen Ⅷ, if it were programmed for that.
Just look at the conversion process for the Virtual Console transfers, they are really simple.

You misspoke about a few things, you said that Shadow Rush was super effective against everything except other Shadow Pokémon. That was true in the sequel, but not Colosseum. Youi also said some of the Shadow Pokémon you only have 1 chance to catch. Again, that was true of the sequel, but I'm pretty sure you can as many chances as you want for all the trainers in Colosseum. XD Gale of Darkness has better gameplay but Colosseum has better story. Also, Gamecube _did_ have internet connectivity through ethernet cables, it's just that very few games actually made use of it.

I think SOME of the Shadow Pokemon in Colosseum were one-shots, but for the most part yeah you could rematch trainers and try again later.

overall great retrospective. I loved this game and its sequel as a kid.
few small things that other people have already said: shadow moves were not yet super effective on all non-shadows, failed captures that aren't immediately available for retry can be found in the post-game

The GameCube Pokémon games are the ones I’d say emulate because no one should have to pay hundreds of dollars just to play them

Look I understand the video is 40 minutes but it’s set for nearly a dozen commercial breaks. You gotta tone em down man. At least set HALF of what you currently have.

Several things I've noticed wrong with this already:
Pikachu was catchable in the Safari Zone in Ruby and Sapphire.
The e-Reader room is inaccessible in international releases of the game but loads up the data just fine if you cheat your way in there, although you DO need a Japanese e-Reader+ and the appropriate cards to use the room properly.

The fact that you made this video means that you can shut up and take my subscription; I looked up some of the other videos you made and seems interesting even though I don't play smash that much

Haha down the road for sure. I love Pokemon XD arguably more than Colosseum. I want a bigger following before I do that video because initially this video didn't do that well.
