As a kid, I wanted to practice playing musical instruments and singing, but as not allowed to do it in the house. SO....as we were rural and bumped up against a few farms.....I played for the cattle. I practiced terrible flute and guitar and they were very tolerant and appreciative. Same with the singing. They would all come over and crowd around every time I appeared from the treeline. My Dad told me a story about my Grandfather and how he was critiqued by the community for sitting and just watching his cattle graise the field. But now I hear Pete says how mentally relaxing this exercise is. My Grandfather suffered extreme financial stress during the depression and so this exercise probably really helped him. Yet in the community he was thought of as lazy for just sitting and watching his herd of cattle graze. But my Great Grand father was thought to be lazy as he drove the team of horses around the community delivering Christian tracts.and encouraging everyone to accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour and be saved. Amazing as God viewed both men with the highest respect for their lazy appearances to worldly man.

Bulls try to pass gates but dont manage to do it and when they see him opening it and passing it they are like " wow he must be super strong and dangerous" and they start respecting him. Animals have a good sense of hierarchy
There is a pecking order all the way from the cows down to the calves. There are usually three groups, cows, bulls and the calves. Just as a sidenote, cows are technically over bulls. As for them respecting a human, it is the social interaction that they respect, and they learn the person or persons they respect also help them. It takes quite a while to be respected by a herd, but if you get the respect of the head cow, they will follow you anywhere.

I am still amazed how docile and friendly these two bulls are. Having grown up around dairy/beef farms where there were occasional bulls of Holstein and some French breeds, the warning was always out to be ever so cautious around them. Your two guys act much more different.
This was awesome to watch. The commentary was amazing. I loved the “oh there’s a crisis poop, gotta get rid of some of that extra weight”. That was hilarious. Bruce Buffer should have been out on the field with you announcing! The winner by TKO… the undefeated, undisputed bull battle champion, Titus! Nature has its way of keeping order. He will lick his wounds and be alright. Thanks for the video Pete!
I’m vegan myself but if every each cattle can live like this, until the one bad day, you can eat meat. They live in a good environment, huge fields, free roaming, eating real grass under the real sun, good for both animals and the environment.
This is how meat should be raised, so much healthier for the animals and in turn, humans. We have to get away from the factory farms. They do have excellent slaughter facilities though that are very humane. Well, most. Raising animals how they were meant to live is better for ALL involved. Plus done right it can help with the environment.
I didn't think cows would come to people's calling, let alone all the way across the field. Poor Ordin though! "it may not be next month, it may not be this year, but one day he will be the champion" Anyway, great vid. I learned a few things just from watching your video. Keep it up!
Pete, I’ve been looking forward to the bull battle video since I started following your channel this year - I love watching the herd dynamics and it’s an especially interesting because you give us a blow by blow description, quite literally. You allow Orden to sire offspring just like Titus so I don’t feel too sorry for him - in nature he might not get that opportunity.
My homeboy Larry has a black angus bull that is the size of a small bus. He’s very gentle though - unlike his last bull. He was ornery - but delicious, as it turns out. 🥩

Love your relationship with your cattle herd !!! May your pastures always be green and your herd always healthy. Stay safe and healthy Sir. Thank you for sharing your farm with us.
Nice to see good wholesome videos. Thx for sharing your time with your herd for us to watch.
Love that you tell what's happening especially for someone like me who knows zero, but learning
Crisis Poop!! I love it. Pete, I'm really enjoying your stuff.
I love the way you allow Nature to run it's course. Fighting bulls need this fight! Poor ol Ordan, I feel for him. It's no different than two men doing the same thing to establish their place in society. Don't think so?, just watch men when they meet, they immediately size each other up looking for strengths and weaknesses. Even their handshake, the dominant one will have his hand on top.
glad that ordon have you there to consult him after losing an important battle.
Was really rooting for orden this year. Tough break, but life goes on.
First thing I see when I click on the video. Lol thanks alot
@@KlineFarmchannel dang spoiler....I hate when that happens .
Yeah man don't comment the outcome on the video not cool
@@Luckingsworth dont read the comments first.
@@Luckingsworth I actually read the comments in videos I don't want to watch fully to find out the outcome..
🐄 is ..HURTING ..😭 😭 ! He just need a little alone time and space ! 😁
I can really appreciate how you checked on the bulls. You're a good farm daddy! Love from SC!
Daddy? O-O
This, yes this is what makes me happy! I’d be out sitting in the field with the cows if I could. But, for now I’m so happy that you’re giving me my happy place! Thank you. 😍✌🏼
I love the sound of cows on new pasture. That crunch, crunch, crunch is extremely satisfying to me.
Ditto
This just popped up in my youtube recommends; it's absolutely adorable how they talk back to you!
Fascinating!! I always love the cattle videos, listening to Patty first thing. The big guy sulking in the big field by himself, kinda sad. He just needed some space for awhile. LOL. Love his ❤ great video!
A while? His entire life's happiness and health depends on winning those contests. It's as if you not only lost your job, but you became homeless. Probably worse even. It's like you are homeless and forced to live next to a billionaire.
The way you feel for your animals is just awesome! It’s clear you love what you do and who you are!
@@vernonfrance2974 I said he loves what he does.
@@vernonfrance2974 That’s what bulls do. Not sure why you blame him.
When I call the cows they come trotting..... When my Dad calls the cows they come running full out. I'm 54 my Dad is 79. Some day I'll learn the proper way, I'm not grown up enough yet I guess. 😊
Anthony, the cattle know the pecking order of people also, apparently!
@@jamjar5716 apparently. Lol

I worked for a guy who fed cubes off of the tailgate of an old GMC farm truck. Rattle those chains and drop that squeaky tailgate and the cattle would come a running. They also knew the sound of the engine. 😃
@@opendstudio7141 oh yeah! We fed heifers off an old hay wagon pulled by a John Deere A. When they heard us coming they came running.
Shake a feed bag and they will follow like a dog !
Wow, I’m glad I happened onto your videos. I’m a former dairy farmer and I really miss it. I do so love your videos and I love your cows and bulls. Poor Orden, i feel bad for him. But as you said, there can only be one boss. Even our dairy cows had a boss, unfortunately she was mean.
Hello 👋 Abbygirl. How are you doing? Hope you're fine. I am Zack Hudson and am from Denver Colorado. Where are you from? You seem to a real country girl
I sure enjoyed watching the two bulls, couldn't help myself I found it funny as heck. Poor Ordon
That was wonderful. I really enjoyed your interaction with your animals and the relationship that all of you have.
I am still amazed how docile and friendly these two bulls are. Having grown up around dairy/beef farms where there were occasional bulls of Holstein and some French breeds, the warning was always out to be ever so cautious around them. Your two guys act much more different.
Because he actually cares for his cattle unlike other people and you see that in their behavior.
@@Metalmaxm yeah, that's what I think too. They get handled pretty often too, that might also make a huge difference.
This is probably a "Safety Sam" sort of comment, but my grandparents often used to say "You have to be cautious around the gentle bulls".
@@jazzerbyte its called common sense
Thanks for explaining the process of dominance. So interesting. And seeing the cows jostle for position. Love all gets worked out.
Idea for next year...
Titus x Ordan on a time lapse, plus benny hill music.
This was awesome to watch. The commentary was amazing. I loved the “oh there’s a crisis poop, gotta get rid of some of that extra weight”. That was hilarious. I feel bad for Orton, but it’s amazing to see how sweet and affectionate he is with you even knowing he has such strength. He’ll get him next time! ❤️
Bruce Buffer should have been out on the field with you announcing! The winner by TKO… the undefeated, undisputed bull battle champion, Titus! Nature has its way of keeping order. He will lick his wounds and be alright. Thanks for the video Pete!
I love your relationship with these animals!!!
That's some good homegrown entertainment right there!
They are cute bulls, what a beautiful farm and wonderful owner ☺️🥰
Awww Ordin, he went off sulking by himself😔 it's ok Ordin give it a few days you'll be ok fella💕
Orton's like "I WAS THIS CLOSE TO WINNING MAN!"
I’m vegan myself but if every each cattle can live like this, until the one bad day, you can eat meat. They live in a good environment, huge fields, free roaming, eating real grass under the real sun, good for both animals and the environment.
A vegan I finally agree with 😂😂
@@BcsracingpigeonsI second that!
This is how meat should be raised, so much healthier for the animals and in turn, humans. We have to get away from the factory farms. They do have excellent slaughter facilities though that are very humane. Well, most. Raising animals how they were meant to live is better for ALL involved. Plus done right it can help with the environment.
The cows will only go inside in the winter because they all way about a ton and would damage the fields
I’m a vegan as well and I approve this message!!
always amazes me how much alike we are emotionally..great farm DAD....next time Orden..next time !!!
Great video Pete. Love the commentary and can tell you really care for your livestock. Two thumbs up!!!
lol aww i love it how they come running when you call them :) they obviously trust you and know that you care for them. So cool to see.
Pete you do a great job with the cattle.
He is literally sulking at the end!!!!!!!!! 😆
I didn't think cows would come to people's calling, let alone all the way across the field. Poor Ordin though! "it may not be next month, it may not be this year, but one day he will be the champion"
Anyway, great vid. I learned a few things just from watching your video. Keep it up!
That was an amazing video very enjoyable they really like to establish that pecking order
Always makes me nervous being around one bull, let alone two! My great grandfather lost a leg from an Angus bull pushing him into a gate.
My homeboy Larry has a black angus bull that is the size of a small bus. He’s very gentle though - unlike his last bull. He was ornery - but delicious, as it turns out. 🥩
Bull can be sweet
Haha like Dr Pol's saying "Never turn your back to an Angus!"
Thats why all my bulls never see they're 2nd birthday all killed at 21 months, can never trust a bull
@@calftobeefwexfordpaul1482 😭😭😭😭 poor boy and some bull’s are nice my nan had a sister her daughter and a bull got along and he let her give him pat and would never hurt her
The fans were split down the middle as to who they were rooting for... Oh man, the sound effects when they closed really startled this peanut gallery into a chorus of howls of surprise somewhat like an old Batman movie! Maybe next year, Titus...
I loved this & I love how you obviously have a friendship with your cattle x& care about them. Poor old Orden. Great video
Love, love, love watching those bulls, cows, and babies!
Really enjoyed your commentary and so relaxed.
It shows that you love what you do. Awesome to see how cattle works with you.
Interesting. Awww with the going and trying to comfort him at the end. Thanks for posting.
The landscape begins to look like autumn and it's mesmerizing
Thanks Pete! Your videos bring inner peace, in turbulent time!
Such an interesting process, but your commentary was hysterical. You're like the bull whisperer .. you seem to understand each other! Most people would be scared of getting that close.
crisis poop. rofl. this guy will do great as WWE commentator
I was just thing that
Awesome video. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I felt like I lived on a farm today. And poor Ortan looked and sounded like me when I lose a Chess Match.
