The one and only Jim Morrison. Brave and true. Legendary band. What a voice Jim. RIP Jim Morrison
When this album came out, everybody was doing hippie Flower Power kind of music, and here comes The Doors and kicks in the doors of Perception of the darker sides of life, facing problems, and just being gritty and heavy. Jim Morrison's poetical lyricism works perfectly with the jazzy, yet rocking rhythm section that is the rest of the band. Everything gels. Magic is made. Still today, nobody sounds like The Doors.
That is a great description. One of the best I’ve heard. Not only did Morrisons talent w writing make them unique but the chemistry between them was magical. Robby Krieger was a classically trained guitarist and those jazz, flamenco, classical and other influences contributed greatly to their sound. I think Morrison and Krieger made the sound but Manzareks organ was unique as well and Densmore’s drumming too. It all just worked!
Wow, you're so right, guys, what a hypnotic song, or should I say Jim Morrison's voice has that hypnotic affect! The Doors were such a fantastic band, with some amazing songs. This is great, I love it - haven't heard it for a long time but Jim's voice is instantly recognisable to me. Incredible to think that he sadly died 50 years ago, but what a legacy of fab music he left us. Thanks so much for this great reaction, guys. Well, we, in the UK, had two storms with rain, wind, sleet and snow but thankfully no thunder! Cheers guys.
Robby Krieger was actually a classically trained guitarist. Much of the Doors sound was down to this. He could literally play anything. Add John Densmore on drums, Ray Manzarek on the organ, Morrison on top and you’ve got the most unique band in history.
😁Oh yeah!! Doors!! You can't go wrong with any of their songs!!! Very unique!! Great reaction! I saw them live way back when....it was an awesome concert! I wish you two would consider doing their song "Alabama song (Wiskey Bar).... I can only imagine watching you with THAT song!!! Soooo happy to hear that you are considering Doors albums on Patreon! Looking forward to the poll when it comes. Thank you two once again!!!!!!!!! 💙💙
They actually sang into a microphone with their natural voice. No autotune. They also played their own instruments. Everything was recorded onto a tape machine and edited by hand. Real musicians. Real music. Real craftsmen. Real.
The Doors will never do you wrong....Great pick of a song guys!!!!🥰
Oh man. We used to be obsessed with Doors when we were younger!
Very unique sound.

My first car - a $300 64 VW bus - an 8-track - on Santa Rosa Creek Road off of highway 46 to Cambria (California's central coast) - the Doors - lovely
Cool memory. Cool place and time
I feel so lucky that I got to see the Doors in concert back in 69. It was a long concert and it was very dramatic. The way Jim used silence to contrast with sudden explosions of sound really blew my mind!
Every Doors album is great! I loved them as a kid in the 80’s. I was obsessed w Morrison and even went to his grave in Paris. The most unique sound ever. They were only together 5 years. Think about the impact they had for such a short period. Love the Doors!
I could NEVER "learn to forget" this timeless tune or the brilliant bastards who created it! The Doors Rule! There are two artists who do killer covers of this song that I know of, and rock it just fine in their own way.: Patti Smith and Generation X (Live)
It's amazing they only had 3 musicians, John Densmore on drums, Ray Manzarek on organ and Robbie Kreiger on guitar and Jim's vocal and created such fabulous full music.
You really need to check out their song The WASP (Texas Radio and the Big Beat)
Jesus... The doors again so my favourite band ever 😍😍😍😍
The DOORS are one of the most unique American Rock bands ever. Like all the very best bands, they have their sound. You know instantly who it is. Jim was a party animal and hedonist. I could relate to him very well way back in the 80’s. Check out the movie The DOORS staring Val Kilmer as Jim. I thought he deserved an Academy Award for best actor because of his role in this movie. Anyway, the DOORS are a very unusual band with great songs. They made heads pop at their time. Their songs remain and are irresistible to not sing along to. Classic.
"John Mayer - Waiting On The World to Change" Fun Fact: John inducted both Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. Take Care
U2-"Bad" - LiveAid 1985. Thank you
The Doors are a great live band as well. I'd suggest that you check out some more live performances from the Doors. Who Do You Love, Gloria and Little Red Rooster are great cover songs the Doors did live, also the Celebration of the Lizard is cool to check out if you are interested in Morrison's poetry and how they incorporated it in their live performances.
I have always llike this song, but it doesn't get played. They used to use it to close shows once in a while. You might be able to find a live version of it that may be longer. Of course they are one of my all time favorite bands, so I listen to them all the time. Always love your reaction to the Doors songs. They just get into my soul. Have a great weekend!
I like the changes you made to the room you record from. Looks really cool..
OMG WHERRRRE HAVE I BEEN ALL MY LIFE to NOT have heard THIS SONG BEFORE!??!!!!!!!!😱
I LOVVVVVVVVE IT❣️ Totally BLOWING my MIND!!
🙏 Thank You @BroAction for this🙏
Gotta love The Doors! Poetry set to amazing instrumental arrangements. Sometimes dark, sometimes romantic.....always well worth listening to! Thank you both for sharing! 😽💋🎶
Do you know what the greatest Super to have is? No, not xray vision, not being able to fly or become invisible...for me, when Spock from Star Trek did that "mind meld" thingy was Amazing to me! I could grip your neck and share with you my history and would be like You are there, thru me, I was blessed to see them live in Hawaii when I was 14 or so,,,not long before Jim changed his reality...as long as is passed on, he never die...Great react dudes! Blessings !
Great song from a great album - the Doors 1st LP in 1967 ..... I purchased it the week it was released, and I didn't have a clue who the Doors were. They hadn't had any radio play in my region of the country (Rochester, New York) yet. I bought it because I liked the album cover. What a thrill when I first played it in my family's home basement! AND I got to see them live at the Eastman Theater in Rochester, New York on March 16, 1968! What a show!
Wow. This takes me back. Thanks for this one guys. ❤️
This is my favorite Doors song. So fun and a great beat. I could listen to this song all day.
What an opening...that organ that is known for church....I love it Thank you so much
Great song.
Love Soul Kitchen. The Doors are my all time favorite group. I keep forgetting Morrison's birthday which is a good thing because then I remember it is also the date John Lennon was murdered. The Doors first album, actually the first two are perfection - LA Woman too. They were a life changing group.
"Southern Nights" by Glenn Campbell, "Twilight Zone" by Golden Earring. Thank you
Love the new background, guys!
Great job, guys! Love the genuine reaction. Keep it up! We love The Doors
Great job bros!! great song!! Morrison was a classic great voice great front man!!! Check out them doing GLORIA live he is trashed and just rambling!!! he gets arrested for profanity after song!!! CLASSIC MORRISON!!!! I always tell you bros about deep tracks from bands that you never hear., a great one from THE DOORS is CHANGELING!!! a funky beat like SOUL KITCHEN!!! Enjoy!!
First! This is a great song!
Sorry I have just tuned in for the first time and I don't know which brother is which but the brother on the right is an actual vibe, his reaction here to one of my favourite bands is just magical. Thank you!
I'm not sure if you have reacted to Moonlight Drive yet, but it is a must!
I absolutely loved your reaction! You dig The Doors as much as I did when I first found them and I still love them just as much today. Your studio is looking fantastic guys! You are doing a great job with everything on this channel! Peace!
Oh man……that old psychedelic rock sound. Brings back memories. That sound is a real time machine
Interesting that you say that they open doors to a different reality George. They named the band after Aldous Huxley’s famous book, The Doors of Perception.
Agree this is one of the Door's best songs. Don't forget to react to "Twentieth Century Fox"
Love your reaction to The Doors,no other reactors dig as deep as you guys for their music. Love to see you react to the live version of "Celebration of the Lizard" it will blow your mind. GUARANTEED !!! BTW: the love version of Soul Kitchen is fantastic as well.
Love love love watching your reactions to The Doors 🤩 cheers from Australia
The Lizard King is back bros!!! Luv this original band bros. You guys rock!!¡ RIP Jim and Ray.
If you want a longer version, listen to the live version. It’s roughly 10 minutes if I recall.
Great stuff guys
The doors change my life too and my personality
Yeah, we were 2 feet from Mars when this LP came out.

Great reaction guys as I know you love the Doors. So many great songs to react to so I’ll just make one suggestion… Moonlight Drive 🔥
You guys should look up celebration of the lizard from the doors.
i love his last name!
Hey guys if you like this one please check that one from the doors (SOUL KITCHEN LIVE AT THE FELT FOROUM NEW YORK)
theyve aged better then any of their peers... lyrically also more prescient to the current underlying dread in the current culture.
Bad ass Bassist.
apologies, bumped the mouse and text got changed...as long as someone is listening and discussing Morrison and The Doors, they never die...
Thanks bros!
welcome to music from the 70's and 80's
I am the lizard king! I can do anything🦎
The tshirt your wearing is the cover to their best album ,get it
React Suggestion: Neil Young - "Cortez the Killer" (Live)
Hey bros, check out Peace Frog!
Imagine creating this
Music 😂
It has to be the live version
You need to listen to Spanish Caravan from the Doors
pretty groundbreaking stuff for 1967.
I agree, that this is one of the greatest bands of all time. At least in my top 10. Lynyrd Skynyrd if probably right there next to them.
Next "Soft Parade"
The 60s and 70s sometimes make you wonder why anyone bothered to make any more music after, don't they? lol.
You guys have to do 'House of Broken Love" by Great White. Kick ass guitar throughout the whole song. "Turn Me Loose" by Loverboy kicks ass too. (don't let their stupid name fool you). This song rocks.
See if you can find a copy of book “No One Gets Out Of Here Alive”
Please George and Patrick, (which is also my middle name) do “The Soft Parade” live by The Doors. It is also quite hypnotic and has quite a few transitions.🚪
Brothers and fans alike. You reacted one time only on Beth Hart " whole Lotta love" cover of Led Zeppelin. Where are more of Beth reactions ( minus AM I the one)? Get ready Patrick and George! 2022 will mark a new album. For Beth Hart. Covering Led Zeppelin songs!! Can pre order now or wait. But really can't believe you have forgot her after a year. Lol
Have you guys reacted to Post Modern Juke box cover of “Creep”? Trust me, you’ll be blown away!!!
you guys should try out gloria, or the soft parade! they are a bit longer.
oh, or tell all the people. great vibes from that one
React to Pink Floyd keep talking live PULSE, Money live PULSE, David Gilmour - In Any Tongue - Wroclaw Poland 2016, DAVID GILMOUR - FAT OLD SUN LIVE IN GDAŃSK. it's pure magic. PLEASE.
ps...some instruments were totaly quite in first transition, at least for us listeners 🤷🏼♂️
You guys are really figuring out how this whole Rock & Roll thing works.
Yes, you need to hear entire albums.
That is critical with the better bands.
You are quickly advancing in your musical experience. Now all you need is to listen to an Old School guy like me! Ha Ha! I do know this stuff!
Wait till you guys do TOOL.
Please react to Jeff Beck I ain't Superstitious... You won't regret it.
I don't know if any of this is true.
