  • I picked up this Vintage Monkey Wrench at a local Antique Shoppe. I was told it was Circa 1950's although I could not confirm. Either way, this made a great project and a welcomed addition to my toolbox. Enjoy.

Evapo-rust works 100x better if you heat it. And a million times better in a heating ultrasonic cleaner. 45 mins in the heated ultrasonic cleaner and it would have come out with zero rust looking almost brand new. Good work otherwise looks very nice.

It was nice to see the hacksaw come out to give that antique wrench more damage.

Nice refurbishing project. Next time try electro plating the tool with nickel plate. Not only will it look great, but it will not rust either...

I was told this was from the 50’s but could not confirm. The letter “c” in a circle is stamped into the lower jaw and the number 7 on the main body. These can be seen best at 9:58 and 16:41 Thank you for the comment!

Did you really mangle a bunch of antique license plates for that sign? For shame!
    PS, I subscribed anyway.
    (Just don't do it again.)

No worries! It wasn’t made from real plates. Thanks for the comment.
