Custom Guitar | Fret Sprout Repair
Today we give my custom made "S" Type Guitar a tune up. This guitar was hand built by myself in my Garage a couple of years ago and has been an incredible addition to my collection. The harsh winter, and lack of humidity have caused a common condition known as fret sprout. Fortunately, this is easily remedied with a few simple tools, and some quality time in the Garage. Join me as we repair thi...
Rusty Lantern Restoration | Antique Railroad Lantern
Today we restore this awesome antique railroad lantern... with a slight repurpose! When acquired, It was missing the burner which I could not source at this time. It also leaked from every joint, making it unsuitable for use with oil. We decided to convert this into one of the coolest lamps I've ever seen. Shine on. Thank you for your continued support and enjoy!
Rusty Tool Restoration | Vintage Adjustable Wrench
I picked up this Vintage Monkey Wrench at a local Antique Shoppe. I was told it was Circa 1950's although I could not confirm. Either way, this made a great project and a welcomed addition to my toolbox. Enjoy.
Painting My Hood in 4 Minutes | Nissan Sentra gets a budget Makeover
Today I paint the hood on my ol Nissan Sentra. I use the same rattle can paint I have used previously on other budget repairs to this car. This time, the color didn't come out as planned, but it is still a major improvement.
Rattle Can Rust-O-Ration | Nissan Sentra Rust Repair
Join me today as I repair some rust on the ol' Nissan Sentra and paint it with some rattle cans. What could possibly go wrong!
Just bought this model for my 8 years and he loves it worth the 170
It’s a great RC for the price! Thanks for the comment.
I couldn't see, how many teeth on the pinion ?
Went with a 14t pinion. Stock was 13t. Thanks for the comment!
Awesome video and well done! I am new to the hobby and this is my first RC. I’d love to see a routine maintenance done on this RC. Thanks!
Thank you for comment and the kind words! RC is a great hobby. Maybe I’ll do another video on it sometime, but so far it has held up great.
Can you drive it on a 4s batteri?
The esc says 2s-4s. I’m not sure how well the car would hold up though, but it seems pretty tough. Thanks for the comment!
How fast did the car go after the upgrades?
Not sure as i don’t have a gps. On 2s i would guess mid 30’s on 3s mid 40’s. Thanks for the comment!
Was hoping for some explanations on why you instantly went Brushless, explanations for choices of upgrades, explanations of what you had us looking at
Your closeup of putting the pinion on saved me! Many thanks!
I’m glad it was helpful. Thanks for the comment!
Have you converted this one to brushless yet?
No not yet! We may build a new one in the future. Thanks for the comment.
@@GutentiteGarage good work on that vorteks brushless conversion video, we need more content like that for sure!
Loved the video. Subbed and liked 👍🏻
Thanks for the support!
what is the sound you make with the screw mean?
To show that I used a serrated flange screw to hold the motor in place. This will help prevent the motor from slipping out of place under load. Thanks the comment!
@@GutentiteGarage where did you get the serrated flange screw?
Had some extras from another car. The stock Gorgon motor screws should work also.
Can you post some links for the upgrades ? Much appreciated 😊
I picked up all these upgrades from my local hobby shop. I put links in the description for reference. I hope this helps. Thanks for the comment!
Awesome upgrade video. Just subscribed 👍. What screws did you use to mount the motor?
Thank you for the support! The screws I used were some extras I had from my Latrax prerunner. They held the wheels to the axle. I think the stock motor screws for the Arrma Gorgon would work too.
Nice unboxing and upgrades
Thanks for the comment!
So, stock is not good? I'm considering this to be my first RC in the price range. Or there is a better option?
I think this is a good option stock. Especially for the price. I chose to upgrade it out of preference. Thanks for the comment!
Why 120a esc though? 🤔 10bl60 g2 should be enough even for 3s brushless, nonetheless great build
Great observation! The 120a esc came in the kit. It is capable of 4s and a little much for this set up. The 60mm motor allows the wires clear the chassis without modification. Thank you for the feedback!
Been thinking about getting this kit. Thanks for showing the upgrade you used for the motor/esc and how you installed it. Looks like an easy kit to work on.
Glad you enjoyed it. This is a great platform for upgrades and is perfect on a 2S lipo. Thanks for sharing!
I was thinking of doing the same thing. Are you still using the stock 61 tooth spur and slipper setup. I noticed you went with a 14t pinion and a 3700 kv motor on 2s. Is it substantially faster than stock. I was shocked how slow this truck is..@@GutentiteGarage
Yeah stock spur, and tightened the slipper a bit. It’s quite a bit quicker on 2s, especially the punch out of corners. Thanks for the comment!
I had a Nash Catatonic with pink wheels.
She looks pretty planted on both the carpet and turf! I think you just convinced me to get one 😎
Yeah this platform works surprisingly well! It’s a blast to drive. Thanks for the support 👍
AWESOME EDIT!!!
Thank you for the support and kind words!
@@GutentiteGarage where's that skatepark!? and why aren't there RC's in it? lol
@413RC 🤣 Lauter Park, and Hunter Daniels Park…. I’ll have to bring the rc’s next time and do some bashing…
Tossing 3 in 1 oil around is a bad idea. It might upset the lubrication gods. You never know what nasty things might turn up in your personal lubricant.
My first skate board was 2' long, 3 1/2" wide. It was a 2x4 with a roller skate nailed to the underside.😂
Those colours are definitely 80's, i remember them well. Nice job and good to see you're getting use out of it too👍🏻
For sure! Amazing how the simplest things can take us back to a place in time… Thanks for the support!
that air scared the sh!t out of me i was almost asleep to 😭😭😭
Been there.. Thanks for the comment.
sad that its basically a walmart board, but still really cool. If my goodwill had this type of stuff id be going a lot more lol
Never know what u might find at the goodwill lol… thanks for the comment!
I'm trying to find the nash I had as a kid it's the reason I skate today
I hope u find one, I randomly found this one and had to snag it. Thanks for the comment!
Nash was like the walmart board of the day right? Plastic trucks wow
Yeah pretty much. The plastic trucks are a bit comical to today’s standards. Thanks for the comment.
How are you at making ham can banjos?
Not sure, I never tried. Maybe in the future. Thanks for the comment.
Good job!
Thanks!
Wow! This video was frigging amaze-balls for such a new channel. You definitely snagged a new subscriber with this one.
Thank you!
Nice to see someone with a good knowledge of the use of hand tools well done
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the support!
Great resto, I'm a fan of bluing too, its very rewarding👍🏻. Ive got an old Jenbro wrench waiting in my shed to be restored.
Thanks for the support. Best of luck on your projects!
Nice refurbishing project. Next time try electro plating the tool with nickel plate. Not only will it look great, but it will not rust either...
Thanks for the tip!
Very true. Thanks for the comment!
I was told this was from the 50’s but could not confirm. The letter “c” in a circle is stamped into the lower jaw and the number 7 on the main body. These can be seen best at 9:58 and 16:41 Thank you for the comment!
Evapo-rust works 100x better if you heat it. And a million times better in a heating ultrasonic cleaner. 45 mins in the heated ultrasonic cleaner and it would have come out with zero rust looking almost brand new. Good work otherwise looks very nice.
Good tip! Thanks for sharing
It was nice to see the hacksaw come out to give that antique wrench more damage.
Well done 😊😊
Thank you!
Did you really mangle a bunch of antique license plates for that sign? For shame! PS, I subscribed anyway. (Just don't do it again.)
No worries! It wasn’t made from real plates. Thanks for the comment.
Nicely done! I've subscribed!
Thank you for the support!
