Been thinking about getting this kit. Thanks for showing the upgrade you used for the motor/esc and how you installed it. Looks like an easy kit to work on.
I was thinking of doing the same thing. Are you still using the stock 61 tooth spur and slipper setup. I noticed you went with a 14t pinion and a 3700 kv motor on 2s. Is it substantially faster than stock. I was shocked how slow this truck is..@@GutentiteGarage
Thank you for the support! The screws I used were some extras I had from my Latrax prerunner. They held the wheels to the axle. I think the stock motor screws for the Arrma Gorgon would work too.
To show that I used a serrated flange screw to hold the motor in place. This will help prevent the motor from slipping out of place under load. Thanks the comment!
Great observation! The 120a esc came in the kit. It is capable of 4s and a little much for this set up. The 60mm motor allows the wires clear the chassis without modification. Thank you for the feedback!
Your closeup of putting the pinion on saved me! Many thanks!
I’m glad it was helpful. Thanks for the comment!
Awesome video and well done! I am new to the hobby and this is my first RC. I’d love to see a routine maintenance done on this RC. Thanks!
Thank you for comment and the kind words! RC is a great hobby. Maybe I’ll do another video on it sometime, but so far it has held up great.
Just bought this model for my 8 years and he loves it worth the 170
It’s a great RC for the price! Thanks for the comment.
She looks pretty planted on both the carpet and turf! I think you just convinced me to get one 😎
Yeah this platform works surprisingly well! It’s a blast to drive. Thanks for the support 👍
Nice unboxing and upgrades

Glad you enjoyed it. This is a great platform for upgrades and is perfect on a 2S lipo. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah stock spur, and tightened the slipper a bit. It’s quite a bit quicker on 2s, especially the punch out of corners. Thanks for the comment!
Loved the video. Subbed and liked 👍🏻
Thanks for the support!
Was hoping for some explanations on why you instantly went Brushless, explanations for choices of upgrades, explanations of what you had us looking at
Awesome upgrade video. Just subscribed 👍. What screws did you use to mount the motor?

How fast did the car go after the upgrades?
Not sure as i don’t have a gps. On 2s i would guess mid 30’s on 3s mid 40’s. Thanks for the comment!
Can you post some links for the upgrades ? Much appreciated 😊
I picked up all these upgrades from my local hobby shop. I put links in the description for reference. I hope this helps. Thanks for the comment!
Can you drive it on a 4s batteri?
The esc says 2s-4s. I’m not sure how well the car would hold up though, but it seems pretty tough. Thanks for the comment!
I couldn't see, how many teeth on the pinion ?
Went with a 14t pinion. Stock was 13t. Thanks for the comment!
So, stock is not good? I'm considering this to be my first RC in the price range. Or there is a better option?
I think this is a good option stock. Especially for the price. I chose to upgrade it out of preference. Thanks for the comment!
what is the sound you make with the screw mean?
To show that I used a serrated flange screw to hold the motor in place. This will help prevent the motor from slipping out of place under load. Thanks the comment!
@@GutentiteGarage where did you get the serrated flange screw?
Had some extras from another car. The stock Gorgon motor screws should work also.
Why 120a esc though? 🤔 10bl60 g2 should be enough even for 3s brushless, nonetheless great build
