(However much longer it will be available before it’s BL2s only) It looks just as good, performs well and is much more affordable. Shoot, you could take the difference in price and use that to get a cheap yet fine Amazon brushless combo and get the zoomies!!! 😂
Had do come back and eat a little crow, burned out a motor in 1 of our 2 gorgons yesterday, but it's brushed so no more of that brushless on the way for both
Rear tires remind me of a four wheeler tread pattern. That said, i dont get the hype of these when compared to a good deal on a Granite BLX at $280 USD, and the new AMORIL at $209. The kid apeal is kinda lost when you think about a five year old hitting themself with a 1/10th scale at 20 mph and a 8-10 year old i would probably buy a faster 1/14th or 1/16th scale car, assuming they had experience already. The only downside is these smaller cars flip a lot. I would like to see a wider version made.
It looks like the motor mount has been updated. I remember on the gorgon the motor used to move on hard concrete landings. Looks like a similar design as the traxxas 2wd models
I have a brushless converted vorteks but looks faster out the box; I'm sure its lighter than the 4 wheel mega. I think the Fury might be a good slash alternative, esp if you brushless it.
Pick of the litter here, 😂 Isn't that red gear that coke can armma pot aluminum like what the bigrock v2 jello motor mount was made from? Their red aluminum always used to bend rather easy. Hope the gear is in better quality or perhaps a different application changes that. Either way. Joe you too cool man lol !
@ Chris This is still half price as granite on sale , and has 50/75/100 on the radio , it’s one of only rigs I can let 3 yr old neighbor drive , only reason I haven’t threw a BL system ., It’s good because a lot of people can’t afford hobby grade for kids end up spending this much on toy or Amazon RCs 14 end up in garbage you can buy for 5 years old and when hes 12 he can modify the same RC because still be around. I have granite brcc not really worth rebuilding to me anymore you my neighbor id give em to you because I don’t like wasting money but when can go get new RC for price of a couple parts you can’t go wrong , plus 2wd is alot of fun because the RC doesn’t self destruct just throws further rooost under crazy power . My 700 Losi 8 has a stripped gear ⚙️ after 10/15 packs with tires that’s going cost more than this Rac
Exo I would love to see a furry vs the 2wd slash with the same electronics or this vs the 2wd rustler with same electronics head to head on the track 🤔 what will happen tried and true versus the new
Well I see comparable performance, more durable and much cheaper. I love my Slashes but can’t argue bang for the buck and at a lower price point. For the price of the brushed Rustler you could get the Vorteks AND a cheap Amazon brushless combo. 😎

Tougher than a rustler, I've bent so many rear shocks on my 2wd rustler it's not funny, never have bent even 1 on gorgon

Do RC just did a LCG Gorgon. Everything fits to the Vorteks, that you need to mount the Gorgon body. With one simple mod needed.
I'm new to RC cars and we just got this for my son... Battery is only lasting about 2 minutes and then the RC car will not work.. Any suggestions?
Better plattform for 2wd as the old Arrma 1/10 (senton boost and so on). Too expensive in Europe, no 4wd option, but super brushless ready.

Motor mount was fine! Loctite for the screws....
They did update with that lock in there

I've not heard of one failing yet. Even if it is a low grade aluminum its 30mm wide and it can handle a LOT of power.

I feel this Fury is way way stronger and way more durable than a slash. The slash has been around for ever and needs a serious makeover IMO.

2s lipo has less voltage than 7 cell nimh
For about 2 seconds, the nimh drops that peak really fast but the lipo holds a much higher voltage under load
Slow Af for the money and could show you 10 cars from MJ and hyper go that are way better
Thats not the thing, this is entry level with power handling capability thats way way beyond the MJ or Hyper.
