i love when we try not to follow the hype and heat but a standard model that looks good plus reasonable price, nothing wrong with liking what we like.
I hope adidas take advantage of the wavy pattern on the upper and make some crazy colorways with it. This could be a great eye catcher with just the right color way.
I liked the ozweegos I waited on them to go on a super sale before purchasing. They’re gym shoes now. I’d buy these on sale for sure
They feel expensive for just adiprene+ and no continental rubber. They gotta be HELLA comfortable to be worth it at that retail price. Otherwise, I will wait for a sale hehe

Honestly as far as this funky looking 'Oz*' line of Adidas goes, I'm still rockin with Ozwegos personally. They're probably the hardest of the bunch to style, but they are definitely the most fun.

Adidas has more interesting sneakers with newest design, Ozrah, Ozelia, Ozweego. The sole design and upper material are really fresh, I don't find Nike newer design good, they still rely on 80's and 90's design (Dunk, Air Max, Jordan, etc)
Someone should customize these to have the Yeezy 1050 colorway, I think it’d be so dope

This design by Adidas isn't new. I had a pair of trainers in the very early 2000s that had the 3 stripes on the lateral forefoot and an almost spider web patten over top. Wish I could find the name of the shoes.

It was a very excellent review. However, despite the great design, this silhouette is too narrow and flat on the toe box.

These sneakers actually take design cues from the Adidas Mercury models from the year 1999 & early 2000…
Adidas has been really digging the archive lately.
The Yung 1's are literally a model from the 90's.

I think ultraboost is for a different market. These Ozworld shoes seem to be targeted at genZ customers. UB is probably for older generation and for casual running. The Oz shoe seems to focus more on streetwear design and less on performance/technology. I've a load of UBs and still a fan. I might buy a Oz shoe to see what they are like, but my understanding is boost technology is newer that Adiprene+, is this correct?

Nice way to staple people.. lol ultraboost is a running shoe that's also super comfy as a daily shoe and has countless designs for any market and has almost the same shape as this one and comes in 3 different main models og cold.rdy and parley(last one being the most street style as you said)
The Ozrah's and the Ozelia's are like the children of the Yeezy 500 and the 700 V3.
Not to mention they're more accessible, have a much better fit and are starting to have much better colorways.
No disrespect to Ye but the 500's are the 2nd lowest point in the Yeezy brand's history, the 1st being the Calabasas which are basically some renamed Continentals.
The 700 V3 hasn't had it's potential fully developed.
And both are not only irrationally expensive but inaccesible. Specially the 700 V3 Dark Glow from Yeezy Day, which had to be the most impossible to get through retail.
I don't think 500 is the lowest point, it's a brave move, it's a prove that they can make something different and out of this world at that time.
Calabasas based on Powerphase one of Adidas iconic shoes, it's Yeezy first attempt for more accessible Yeezy shoes for everyone.
Since you mention about "renamed" shoes being the lowest point, I chuckle for thinking about how every Nike's collaboration shoes nowadays literally using 80's design such as Jordan 1 and dunk.
@@dvw. The 500 came out in the chunky sneaker fad which consisted mainly of silhouettes from the 90's. Which is what the 500 took inspiration from.

@@dylives7667 Riding a trend? Correct me if Im wrong, The chunky sneaker fad started by Yeezy itself, the 700 started it all then Triple S release and became really popular that dad shoes model rising again. The 500 was the "crazy" option if you're looking for something different.
Yes, they don't do Calabasas anymore because, now they have more advance manufacturing, Adidas & Yeezy now creates completely new shoes not using old model. Their attempt for accessible shoes now with Foam model such as Foam Runner, it's align with Kanye's plan for creating shoes for every one, even though it's also hard to get for retail.
I'm sorry, what I mean from "based" is using old model.
I bring up Nike because as Adidas competitor, they don't create any completely new design shoes. Nike only "play safe" in terms of design.

Nike and Adidas are both doing this thing now where every time a model gets hyped up (Yeezy, Sacai VaporWaffle, Element 87, etc.) they just start making models that are cheaper copies of them that end up releasing to consumers when the hype of those models has already died down and they just look out of touch with consumers. Feels like the design creativity is drying up

Took the YEEZY approach would be the best wording for them.
After the 350 and 750, most of the YEEZYS had their inspo taken from Adidas' archive. Which is why they became relevant once again.
