Everyone owes the Spurs medical staff a huge apology. The Spurs diagnosed him with a degenerative quad condition years ago. It can be managed but never fixed.
Spurs load managed him because they had to, not because they wanted to. He didn’t like that & started looking for a second opinion in New York.
Raptors load managed him even more with no issues. We made sure we got to playoffs without him playing much and have him go ham the last 16 games. He needs a team that he doesn't have to carry in regular season
From what I remember the Spurs was trying to force him to play when he didn't feel comfortable and weren't confident in his knee and felt something was wrong and they were miss diagnosing him. I might be wrong.
