We are both such similar teams, Australia and India. We sledge on the pitch and then can have a beer afterwards. Obviously like minded guys with parallel lives and arguably the two best batsmen in the world. As fierce as these two are on the field, they are equally admirable towards each other off the field. Great guys for the sport.

I'll admit to once being very anti-Kohli, due to his early on-field histrionics and playing with a chip on his shoulder. But the day he motioned for the Indian supporters at the World Cup to stop booing Steve Smith, he won me over - especially after explaining his reason for doing it (which he again alluded to in this video). Apart from being one of the best bats in the world to watch in full flight, he has modified his on-field behaviour - he is still aggressive, but appropriately so. And when he speaks when interviewed, he shows himself to be measured, very articulate and the owner of a very impressive cricket brain. I am now a fan - although I will continue to celebrate when we manage to get him out! I wish him and his wife well for the impending birth of their first child.
