Playing in it's only second pink ball test, india scored 36 runs for loss of 9 wickets only, Shami got retired hurt out of the series. Host Australia had to take help of playing with pink ball and inexperience of India in playing pink ball tests to win a test at home vs tourists India. Australia failed to win even 1 out of next 3 redball tests at home vs tourists India and lost that home series. Redball test cricket cofounder Australia has been playing redball tests from as old as year 1877, had played much more than two redball tests before 1902 Birmingham redball test of Ashes where Australia lost 10 wickets for same 36 runs.

Man this series win was sweeter than a world cup win. One months gruel, with a finale on the last day hanging in the balance of net bowlers and 1st time cappers, against a full strength aussie lineup.
This whole series is like a Rocky Balboa movie. 36 all out, half the main team out with injuries or other reasons, kept getting blown away with punches after punches but still managed to get up and throw the final knockout punch. Incredible feat
