I’ve had my channel for a little over one year now and I love filming, editing and uploading new content so much but I’m also in uni so it’s so hard to keep up the consistency all the time!! You honestly do so well and it’s inspiring and keeps me going! Love ya💖🦋

This video is more about how to be a successful* RUclipsr. Honestly I feel like more and more people are getting into youtube because of the money and not because they're passionate about it and it really shows in their videos. Those youtubers who started out 5+ years ago before you cold even make money off of youtube are the ones who still remain true to their videos. Honestly just do whatever the hell you want with your RUclips channel. Isn't that the whole point? If you wanna make loads of of money then sure follow all of these steps so you can't attract viewers. But if you want to do it because your passionate about it then do what YOU feel like is best. Who cares about the subscribers as long as you're happy.
Exactly!! It is annoying I've been watching RUclips since forever..way back lol things are so different and I don't believe everyone has the best intentions. But I think Shani really loves what she does
Asia A Yea I completely agree but you can tell the difference between the people who are just trying to make money and the ones who love it.
Yeah I beleieve Shani loves what she does too or else I wouldn't be watching her but I just had to point that out lol.
Being successful doesn't just mean making money. I'm pretty sure even the old youtubers only uploaded videos so that they can share it with a lot of people. I mean... That's the point of youtube. So being successful can just simply be getting your content shared all over the world to deliver a message, entertain, etc. Not just make money.
Alex I agree 100% but some new youtubers are in it for the money. I guess it depends whether the person is passionate about it or not.
OH MY GOD! I seriously love this! you warm my heart up, and now I am motivated to continue my channel, Im honestly doing this so I can find who I am because I am a nursing major and I am always stressing out and when I stress I make stuff and do DIY. A friend of mine told me to start a channel and its tough tbh but this helps me know what to do! but thank you!!!
This video helped me out a lot! Especially as the reason why I took so long to start is because of how I think about other people's thoughts, but I love the idea of making other people smile! Your gorgeous btw x

This was super helpful. I just started making videos myself (posted my first proper video on my channel yesterday) and it was so much fun! I just typed in 'starting a youtube channel' for some tips and your's came up and this is the first video I watched from you and you seem like a genuinely nice girl. I subscribed and can't wait to check out more of your videos! :)
you should try using the disc that came w your camera because you can download the software and use the usb in the box to hook it up to your computer and it acts as your viewfinder!

LOVE this! I find it hard to keep going with my channel when I don't get views/subs but then I realised I am doing this because I love doing it and I am doing it for me, and if people watch and they enjoy its a bonus :)

alana hyland don't be :) I was scared too, I won't lie even when I record some of my videos I get shy a little, and my biggest fear was for ppl in my town to know about it ! Cause they will laugh ! Sometimes I still get scared a little but oh well! Do something you think you will regret later on then to never do it and regret you never did it :)

Thank you for this, I've been asking many people and nobody take the time out of their busy life to help out. I tried to start a Chanel like almost a year ago but it was done with my iPad. My passion as always been makeup and so why not share it with everyone. I mostly use my Facebook , Instagram and take pictures. I've been feeling lost in the RUclips world so this video helps a lot .

I had the same problem! I eventually found a video editor that is pretty good. I edited my first video with and I'm really happy with what I could do. It's tricky at first because you have to get used to it but after that it's really easy to use. It's called kdenlive. Maybe it'll work out for you too!

Get movie maker on your iPhone or iPad I use it to edit my videos and I used my iPhone to film my recent vlog :) I just started RUclips if you want to have a look at my channel!! Xx

Thank you for the tips. I agree with being scared and what not. I finally just told myself, "f it, would rather now then never." Btw I love your hair color!
In the last week I have been focusing on better thumbnails. I am pleased with my results. I make sure I put as much effort into the thumbnail as I do the video. I use to just use whatever thumbnail choices RUclips picks. Another focus is on key words. I have hope of improving my channel. It is tough when you work hard on your channel with limited results. I realize your video is about starting a RUclips channel, but has useful information. Thanks for this video!
