There is a lever on the lower vertical louvers that you can adjust. If you put them at 45° as you’re driving down the road it blows the engine heat off your legs and backwards. 👍🏼
I went from Harleys to Goldwing and that engine heat you referenced is real. I didn't realize how "bad" it was until I got a Goldwing. Ignorance is bliss. I love both makes of bikes.
Emilio - I just bought a Challenger Dark Horse in March 2023 and added the tour pack to it, love the Challenger and the awesome sound that the V-twin makes, I put a Freedom Works slip on exhaust on mine and did the Air Breather and tune with it, going to have the Lloydz tune done in a few weeks when the ESA Fox shock arrives for the bike. - So basically I have the Pursuit without the lowers and heated seats, live here in Florida. Enjoy the bike mine is the Titanium Smoke Metallic matte… still have a BMW in the fleet 2022 R1250R and have been a BMW rider for 10 years, was waffling between the Harley and Indian for a few months, but the Harley costs more for less features and less power.
Being that I just bought a 2024 pursuit dark horse(Premium Package). I purchased the Rpm Plus Choice priority maintenance agreement, Rpm Plus Sport Vehicle Service contract Tire and Wheel Service Contract, Life Time Battery Service Contract, plus my bike had a Two year warranty on it. For the length of the contract, I won’t have to pay a dime for anything. Just bring in my bike. I’m in Texas, my salesman hooked me up. The bike out the door was 45. I’m very happy, they deliver it Saturday morning. Retirement present.
Wonderful bike. I went to look at one and I have to say, Indian did a super job on them. A bit top heavy, but comfortable. The infotainment is very easy to use and clear. I just couldn't justify such a high price out the door for your model. I went out of the dealership and chatting with the wifey and told the guy...NO GO, this time. I got the new Goldwing DCT Tour for a lot less. Easy to work on and superb machine. Enjoy your beauty. My co-worker has one and love it.
I have a road glide limited. I do like that it has actual gauges. I test rode the pursuit, very nice bike.i did notice the heat, but highway pegs would cure that. Harley Davidson 1000 mile service will also run you over 400 bucks😮.
My 2013 Victory Cross Country Tour ran hot until I drove it to Iowa to have Rylan tune it with Lloydz highway cams, ¼ turn throttle, timing wheel and filter. Added Atom bomb exhausts. Even in very hot weather it get a little warm but much more bearable.
Nice bike .I personally love old school with lots of chrome the more the better and i like color! The murdered out look to me reflects todays dark soulless society.
My scout’s radiator fan will click on at about 206 and bring it down to 200. It doesn’t sound like much but it will do this on the hottest days and not cook you or make you turn the engine off. I’m always in riding jeans.
"the VTwin thump" is why I stick with Goldwing. I've had 3 wings and I got a Kawasaki Voyager just to see if I'd like the thump. Once I got to Myrtle Beach and was still shaking even while off the bike I knew I was going back to Goldwing 😅
I see Polaris didn't change anything when it comes to the fuel gauge and low fuel warnings. Victory Motorcycles has the same problem. My old Yamaha Raider would start counting how many kilometers you have traveled since the low fuel light came on.
Most dealers will cover the first oil change, they probably charged you because you left the tank sticker on it haha. Peel that off and rubbing alcohol to remove any residue, no issues on matte paint.
Hello fellow Minnesotan, Listening to your story and it sounds a lot like me. I too have been a GW rider for 20+ years. I am looking forward to picking up a Pursuit. I agree with you on the 500 mile fee but I hope I can factor that into my purchase.
I never ride with shorts. Flesh does not do well against pavement. Also, you are sitting on top of 2 explosion chambers. They put out a lot of heat. Ride a Goldwing wearing flip flops and tell me if your feet feel the heat. I ride a Harley by the way.
Some Indian dealers cover the 500mill bonus that's only because you don't have to pay $ for $ the 1200$ 1500$ suspension upgrades as you know you don't have to pay when you get you 40000 $ bike
seriously if you can't figure out how much further you can go after it says 25 miles I'm thinking that's pretty much nit picking. They probably figure you should be good after the warning...LOL. Beautiful bike though.
Should have negotiated the first service. Take the lowers off. Will be alot cooler. When the gauge goes to low reading, look at the odometer.. Love my Challenger.
Remove the cat. Dealer told me sensors are before the cat so a tune is not necessary. You can do everything that the dealee does on those service intervals. Those intervals are there to fund the dealers mechanics. P.S. Dont ride in shorts please. Gear up !
I would have stuck with the GW's or better yet, get a BMW K1600...$40K is a lot for a thumper...and for the record, women wear pants, men wear trousers...just saying...
compré una pursuit 23 dart horse y traen una vibración muy fuerte al.desacelerar que la hace imposible manejar, ya lleva dos semana en agencia y no le.encuentran el.origen. no la recomiendo

Cat delete And don’t ride in shorts . Ride safe and enjoy your killer Ride

You should never be riding a motorcycle wearing shorts anyway.
Yep, after my first bee got in there and bit my inner thigh.

Do you have to bring it back to the dealer for these "Check up's" to keep the warranty?
NO! Keep the parts receipts and service receipts, if any.
does it have the ultra stiff gear leaver like challenger has?
Congrats you gonna love it! I've owned 3 Indian bikes they're awesome!
My scout’s radiator fan will click on at about 206 and bring it down to 200.

I noticed you have the lower vent open. How did you open and does it help with getting air to the engine for additional cooling?
Compared to the new Wings???

Definitely agree with you on that oil change.
It’s worth checking out Indian St. Paul. They have been amazing to worry with.
Most dealers will cover the first oil change, they probably charged you because you left the tank sticker on it haha. Peel that off and rubbing alcohol to remove any residue, no issues on matte paint.

Right on!
There is a miles left till empty widget in the bike. Tells you exactly what you have left.
Beautiful Pursuit, congratulations and stay safe out there!
Thank you! Will do!
I never ride with shorts. Flesh does not do well against pavement. Also, you are sitting on top of 2 explosion chambers. They put out a lot of heat.

I ride a Harley by the way.
Stunning machine. But Id have to go Gold Wing/DCT. To each his own. ✌

Why would you ride with shorts on? Personally I’ve never ridden while wearing shorts and I never will.

Thumper is a single cylinder. Women pants and men trousers? Really? Say who?
BMW's have terrible reliability. No thank you!
REMOVE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER, THAT SHOULD REDUCE THE HEAT......... YOU DON'Y NEED IT , ANYWAY.
Air cooled motors run much, much hotter.
That’s a liquid cooled engine.
$475 checkup? That takes,what, 20 minutes?
So Indian is as bad as Harley. I'll stick with Kawasaki.
It's an oil change and a few checks.
Badder and better too!
i would never pay that for a 500mile service. All you need is oil change at5000 miles.
You should have just kept riding Goldwing.
Liking my harley street glide st better and better.
Shorts ???
That's stupid.. you are worried about not being able to wear shorts !?
Try as they might it will never be a Harley no matter how they copy them
I'm buying one from Hollister Indian. Thanks for the vid
Good choice!
At least its not a harley.......... be thankfull for THAT or go back to goldwings.
compré una pursuit 23 dart horse y traen una vibración muy fuerte al.desacelerar que la hace imposible manejar, ya lleva dos semana en agencia y no le.encuentran el.origen. no la recomiendo
You want to save some money learn how to do the oil change yourself
Blahahaa 😂😂😂
GIANT bikes aren't necessary.
