I've not seen the film. I have read Ms. Wilkerson's book which makes a powerful statement about the profound interconnectedness of social inequality, no matter the country. I also appreciate the way filmmaker Ms. Duvernay frames subjects in her work to further our collective understanding of our perceptions of humanity. These things along with your sensitive review inspires me to want to see the film. Thank you so very much for this needed review.
Thank you, Doris! Much appreciated! Adding the book to my list now, as well.
It’s a black woman and I loved the whole thing. I’m also in the middle of the book. I feel they compliment each other very well.
I still need to read the book, too!
I loved it, and also cried through out it
Glad you really liked it. I just wasn’t interested in this one. Solid review as always dude.
Couldn't hear him on full volume.
