You snowballed so hard in this game, your (usually strong!) competing players looked minor factions compared to the one true civilization of Spain. Now I understand what 1 settler, 1 worker and an early religion can achieve.
Amazing start and amazing play! You guy really owned this game. Could have been so different if Aztec made a move on you when you took Sparta instead of pissing you off by buying lands ahah.
I feel filthy now after watching that. Turn 10 settling mount kailash as spain with a bought settler. Wonder Faith pantheon, tithe and pagoda's on turn 17, turn 31 enhanced religion with mosques and spreads faster, conceded game at turn 65, 19 cities with your faith as majority religion. A showcase for banning or nerfing Spain.
Nah. The rest were pretty far away and his lands were ridiculously defensible; a massive mountain range covered like 1/3rd and jungle covered most of the rest, with a legion of (previously) Greek blocker cities making up the final side. He would have steamrolled Aztec and Byzantium while the Americans and Soviets put their boots on lol
sam grover I was given the link in the discussion area of Filthy's page but after I installed it, I was no longer able to delete units or annex cities. It also has an annoying units list on the side and all the civs and city states on the right side of the screen where Filthy has neither of these. I really wish I could figure out how to get it how he has it. I'm not that tech savy.
These guys played hours and hours of civ, filthy himself played over 3000 hours. So they have a very astute understanding of what's possible to win in this game- if they all determined it was impossible to catch up then I'm sure even 4v1 would be impossible. My guess is that the snowball was already too strong here- filthys religion was going to snowball everyone else's giving him an unstoppable amount of gold, plus at this point in the game other players barely have a significant army. Filthys was already massive, he had an incredible population to support even more growth. Lastly they probably just wanted to start another game since this was pretty quick, might as well start another and hope for a better start.
They would have lost anyway. He had double hammers and crop yield of player in 2nd. Very defensive lands with large army and massive faith generation. Although i personally would have taken holy warriors with enhancer instead of mosques for defense against teaming
Dear friend is it interesting play against noobs for you??) I checked 4th game and your opponents have so low skill... spain - unbalanced, normal players spent 500 gold to cs...
5:56 "Geneva wants Spain Balanced"
Quite fitting :D
Wow. That is how to play Spain.

MrVlonk Yes, Spain is insane when it starts snowballing
When there isn't a part 3..... 😳

Aztec wanted none of that. He'd of taken 1 city & then gotten smashed to dust 10 turns later.
Granted I haven't seen all of your games but that was the quickest and most dominant one yet!
Aww man I was really excited to see the rest of this game
Wow, snowball..I mean avalanche.

spain, early faith wonder, salt, tons of horses, god damn this is a beautiful start
Most dominate game since that one austria game were you found el derado, had petra, and like a 7 sheep city,
What # game was that?
Zayanz game number 52
Zayanz Look at "hall of fames" of Filthy, usually are op game, had one Aztec with 9 desert fresh water hill :0
wong nigel the grred always win Kappa
siv chhongmeng What do you mean?
31 minutes in @filthyrobot discovered a new CS with his religion already established hahaha
How do you decide when to grow and when to go full production?
+Jmvars Grow when you have the happiness and tiles. Otherwise, you're doing production.
Yay. As expected, you didn't fuck up after Kailash. Yay!
Old time, sweet time.
400bc and have 7 cities but still haven't learn about writing 😂
Who needs that? hahaha
the inca and many other civilisations had huge empires with no writing IRL so, plausible lol
Wow that was a fast one.
HOFG let's go filthy we're waiting.
As in Hall of Fame**
Why are you always pledging to protect city states upon meeting them?
+Joost Bus Makes it more difficult for the other players to tribute.
It also raises your resting influence to five which makes it easier to become ally’s or friends with the city state
They didn't really need to CC to you. If the rest of the remaining 4 ganged up on you they would've won.
Nah I've seen Filthy 4v1 before and it was on a start similar to this. Wouldve been tough with city placement alone too
Only a huge mountain range and jungles to get though to even attack spain.

What are the mods you use.

Why'd you kick Don-G after taking Athens?
Sean Kauder He was disconnected.
He left. NQ dont allow leaving until your cap got taken
When player loses cap its gg they always get kicked.
Dont really understand why they conceded, the game wasn't decided
Dr Wonkenstein The game was pretty much decided lol
Dr Wonkenstein top at prod and faith and everything else with liberty everyone dead
Yeah but liberty is an early game thing, late game they would have caught up some what with tradition
Dr Wonkenstein There is no late game, he can kill everyone effortlessly from that point on.
On the other side of the map on quick speed?
g fucking g
gg
Why do they concede when they could just 4 v 1 him

The only civs that could do anything were Byzantium and the Aztecs. Filthy could outproduce both of them combined and already has a standing army
They would have lost anyway. He had double hammers and crop yield of player in 2nd. Very defensive lands with large army and massive faith generation. Although i personally would have taken holy warriors with enhancer instead of mosques for defense against teaming
