2022 Range Rover D350 review - the best 4x4 by far? | PistonHeads

  • A subtle makeover, for sure, but there's a lot more to the all-new Range Rover than meets the eye.
The silhouette may look familiar, but there are bunch of changes to the design to set it apart from its predecessor. The headlights are slimmer, the tail lights are now hidden behind a blacked-out panel and the side profile is a little sleeker than before. The interior has also undergone a serious overhaul to up the level of luxury, which is mixed in nicely with vastly upgraded cabin tech. But with prices approaching £100,000, can it overhaul its closest rivals?

Interesting video about the really great, latest iteration of the Range Rover. I'm somewhat amused by the prices quoted as they are ones I can only dream of without giving up 1 - 2 years of my life waiting for delivery. Presently this exact model in this exact spec is being offered in Europe with an asking price of 250,000 Euros. That's +/- 220,000 sterling!

The first matter that needs to be addressed with any LR product is reliability. Interestingly it is one matter that never gets addressed…people who pay with their hard earned money will not forget this matter until LR makes it a priority, proves the poor record is fixed and gives us a bank vault kind guarantee…until then no pennies will be spent on LR metal

However I have had my 2104 L405 for 5 years and not had any issues, other than a faulty side step.
My next car will be the Electric Range Rover when it comes out in the next few years.

Incredible. Meanwhile my ‘22 V8 Defender gets 22mpg (again not too bad for a gas guzzler) on the same trip, but hey its cool! :-) if JLR sold the D350 for the new RR in the US I would order one tomorrow. Right now I’m gonna hang onto the TD6 until they give me a better option than the gas engines (i will never buy the BMW V8 in a full size RR).

I have just taken delivery of RR Sport D350 Autobiography. Both cars are now using similar running gear so each should perform similarly. I am really impressed with my D350, seriously fast enough, puts a smile on your face and so economical returning a solid 40+mpg. I can't see the heed for or justification for a v8 petrol. And a P400 will struggle to return 28mpg. The D350 is the very best engine option without a doubt.

All motorway at legal limit as running in. Returned a sound 43mpg with some sections retuning 46mpg. This compared to 28mpg from my Velar P300. With Euro 6 compliance why not drive diesel. In France diesel is on average 5 euros a litre cheaper than petrol!

You mean a Mercedes S class? The guy who bought my S 500 had a very good buy because it only covered 37,000 in 7 years and was like new.
I now have the V6 Range Rover Sport diesel and on a cros country trip I can drive 6 hours on 3/4 a tank.
