Being homeless is not fun. I know all too well. When my husband of 17 years died of a massive heart attack in October 14, 2014 our landlord threw my 16 year old, my 14 year old & I out of the apartment we'd been renting since 2008, in 2015 because "the bread winner was dead." I had to find family friends to take my girls in because my having to find an inn or hotel to live in & the state of Washington would take them from me had I not done the hardest thing a mother in my situation had to do. I've been homeless since. I met my fiance of 6 years in 2016. We've been homeless together for 6 years. Yes, when we met, he had a job, but he was only making, if lucky, $400.00 - $500.00 a week. For a 1 bedroom apartment or house in Washington State with utilities can run around $1,200.00 - $1,500.00 a month. He never made enough for just himself, let alone the both of us. We'd stay at the local Salvation Army during the "Winter Shelter" from November to April, and then we'd have to find places in the woods to live in our tent. In which we kept extremely clean. That would last a little while until a family friend let us put our tent up in their carport. In 2020 we moved to Missouri, where after 2 years he was finally able to find a good job but we're staying with friends and trying to find a place we can call home near them as we help them out with their 3 kids during the hours they both work. I help out while my fiance goes to work with the dad as they both work at the same place. The rent and utilities are way easier to afford here, just nothing in our price range has become available yet.

Nice cleaning job cleaning up, but no one should be living along a wash, in an alley, COT/Pima county/Marana/OV figure it out.

It really seems to me that it ought to be a crime to make being homeless a crime. Our society and economic failures have created the homeless situations. I'm not talking about the addicted druggies. It is a myth that we have a successful rich country when the financial world and society has forcing people to lose their homes through no fault of their own. and you know exactly what I'm talking about with the terrible wages employers give employees while the profits have gone up in the billions. Most trying to live on minimum/slave wages. It's an inevitable situation that will arise to be homeless during your lifetime. I've been lucky. But I'm disabled. My life could change with nothing due to my causing it. National and global economic failure being my top concern. I also think the country is in bad shape, and there's only delays to that inevitable collapse as well.

I find it comforting to know that a multitude of individuals are seeing a "bigger picture". Those that do not see likely don't want to see because it's uncomfortable to know.
If you look in retrospect you can understand why it was done as a country.. Who wants to be proud to be American if American ISN'T the "best" country around?
It wouldn't have the GDP it does and wouldn't be able to boast what it does if it weren't for it's people that support it.
Soon more people will see behind the veil. Soon Babylon will collapse once again.

Leave the homeless alone , if Tucson wants to order anyone than order the f---ing government to do something about affordable housing.
