On the contrary, I believe they have made a wonderful effort in demonstrating what they have learned.
This looks very powerful indeed, i'm studying Ryukyu Kempo, Shito Ryu, and Arnis. I found out about a local woman who is very elderly but teaches this style, so I thought i'd check out the fighting applications. sweet stuff
Very well demonstrated and explained. I like Bob Klein - he also does a great taijji sword from (same as mine)....
yo this is the bomb....I learned some of my best stuff from this video....
It seems like people learn a little, adapt alot , and the teach their interpretation as though it was gospel.
Violent situations are not beautiful to the eye. They are clunky, fast, and frightening. Being able to apply tai chi in a violent situation shows skill.
What would "internal" look like?
If you need an example of skillful Taiji applications of internal energy look up any of the applications clips on youtube of Chen Yu, Wang Peisheng or Feng Zhiqiang.
This guy loses his balance as well as other major mistakes when executing , nothing internal here.
In my short life I have been fortunate to have been exposed to many skilled Taiji people, so I do have some experience for comparison.
I've had some sparring experience, myself. I think they're doing just fine.
great if you "think" they're doing just fine" then that's good enough for you no need to look any further!
there is nothing internal going on here.
Stop arguing and start exercising!
No one said they have to be beautiful to the eye,yes being able to apply Taiji in combat takes skill, and it does have much to do with balance, timing and internal energy..this is not a good example of of those principles.
good effort in demonstrating what they have learned,... but unfortunately not very skillful
Sometimes, it's not about the classical mess.
Good luck with pushing away an attacker. How stupid..
Like he won't come back at u. Also you do not address his second hand which can pop you at will. No disrespect intended. I do not think the Americans truly get Tai Chi.
You seem to have a negative, disrespectful attitude. You have been blocked.
Good example of HOW NOT TO DO IT !...very off balance, sloppy, with bad posture.
so unnecessary.
It seems that the instructor leaves himself vulnerable and off balance (loss of root). I will not be watching his videos any longer; poor execution.
