if you ever wondered why veterans and service members are such assholes during peacetime.....its because we only know how to function right under extreme stress that war brings. when you are safe we have nothing to do. we spend our time waiting for when we are needed again

I might not be a soldier. However I have had more trauma from bullying than a lot of people will ever have. I was diagnosed with PTSD by 17 and depression by 17, although I really had it for 5 years and I was in denial. I was bullied from 4th grade to 11th grade. I am a survivor. And I am waiting on a new war. They spat on me, hit me, gave me death threats. And one guy only had to issue an apology note in which he said I wasn’t sorry and should kill my self. He didn’t get in trouble for that.

Also police officers risk their lives in Afghanistan and every day on our streets for our safety.
