You and I share a sickness! Currently, I have a huge ($380) Elder Scrolls pledge, a 20 Strong pledge, and my TMB Unbreakable stuff just arrived 2 weeks ago… I own all the Remastered and Victorum stuff (and the upgrades), as well as all of Cloudspire, Triplock and Burncycle(haven’t even played Burncycle yet), and I see that Quicktorum and think, “that looks pretty cool…”. Luckily, I THINK that 20 Strong will scratch the itch… but when preorders go up, I know I will likely pick it up anyway. Lol. Chip Theory…
Yeah it’s a tough one to shake. When I started the hobby I couldn’t imagine spending what I have with Chip Theory.
So how much are you enjoying 20 Strong?
@@Drizsle I was really impressed initially with 20 Strong, but these several months later I have found that I just don’t play it. The different deck gimmicks are the draw, but the gameplay for me ended up being too swingy for longterm replay.
I'd be down for some coverage of the new expansion (quicktorum)

Perfectly sums up my attitude -- I haven't yet played it enough to justify the expansion content, but love almost all things CTG, really appreciate their design, art, and support, and will continue to back their productions.

CTG do quality and are quality. Do I like all their games? No. Will I always check new games/expansions out? Absolutely yes.
Good preview vid, not normally my thing but nicely done, keep on with the daily encounters, getting stronger.

Haha, time isnt really an issue for me. I set a game up in my office, and play it on and off for days. Ive played through campaigns and other bigger games this way and love it. Play it when I can and dont stress when I cant.@@Neon_Gorilla

Although...
Chip Theory, while being the publisher title, and by being a place that the same talented creators make great games - is definitely not a place while each game is similar to another.
Most of the people I know as CT fans -
LOVE TMB, more or less like Cloudspire (too convoluted they use to say), and don't like Hoplomachus. So... what doesn't even mean "I like to back their games". An appreciation doesn't need to be proven blindly for any product no matter the quality, unless you really rich. And there are way too many and endless flow of new games out there, so... an honest appreciation to publisher/creators can definitely be backing their games whenever they truly worth it, rather than automatically.
So... I'm not entirely sure about the game itself (...specially after seeing Efka's video).
You kind of talked about features, but does the game any good?
I've heard some really really disappointing opinions about this campaign even with people who like the game! Regarding variety, regarding the bosses, regarding the arenas, regarding what seems as not enough efforts of the publisher to make this game really amazing and really shine, in a level of awesomeness that will make TMB to ask themselves if is it actually possible that they are missing anything by giving up on Hoplomachus 😒
I appreciate the thoughtful comment. This video was not meant as a hoplo overview just one for the campaign so if you have not played it might not be that helpful. If I were to overview the base game I certainly would say it’s great but too long. Not as good as TMB which is my favorite game and Burncycle might even be second. In terms of blindly backing that is certainly my personal decision to support a company that has proven to me to be worthy both through gameplay and service of which I have had interactions with quite a bit. There is no other publisher I feel the same way about. Efkas are valid. There is not one chip theory game that doesn’t make me tired from rules overhead. :)Thanks for watching!

I’m a new “solo” gamer and have been looking for an excuse to get Victorum.
Well this is a good excuse. I resisted solo gaming for so long because I couldn’t even fathom playing something “in my head” then I can across too many bones and it was all over for me.
@@Neon_Gorilla legacy of yu really got me into solo gaming. And recently I’ve started on TMB. And now Victorum is on the horizon! Good times ahead

@@Neon_Gorilla dice throne creator. He made a area control game with variable set up and asymmetric troops... CTG will make this another of his "small" games. Also we will have soon CTG for kids! 4 games! Did you knew?

With the gamefound campaign you have an excuse to also get the premium health (yes, i just saw your Hoplomachus speedrun)

@@Neon_Gorilla To me since i don't have Hoplomachus it's a question of "Should i get Vitcorum Gameplay Bundle or nothing?". Even outside of the cost (and it's alot at about 235€ after VAT for a solo only game) i just don't know when i could see myself pulling it out instead of TMB.
Maybe if Ubreakable and the Tyrant changes in Rage of Tyranny make TMB so much more enjoyable (for me) at 3 players, then this would be a solo only game?
Maybe in a year or so (when Pandora's Box ships) if i buy it i'll end up loving it more/just as much as solo TMB play both?
@@Libery300 if you have all or most of the content for TMB then I agree it is hard to justify this unless you are a degenerate glutton…like myself. I may never get my “moneys” worth from Hoplo like I will for TMB.
