God, I was there for that San Antonio XFL game. The energy just completely went out of the stadium when they got that 4th & 15. Hell of a way to start the season.
Yeah. That is pretty stupid. I like the “3 point play” tho. Every 10 yards should add a point to the PAT. I’d like that rule. Almost every lead would be catchable. 10 yard line - 2 point conversion 20 yard line - 3 point conversion 30 yard line - 4 point conversion Etc One play, get to the end zone, get rewarded.
In the XFL clip - #13 for the STL BattleHawks who caught the conversion and the final TD is Austin Proehl. The bald guy giving him the "fighting hug" at the end of the clip is his dad Ricky Proehl - the STL BattleHawks' WR coach and a two-time Super Bowl champion and STL hero.
His dad got 2 rings? I didn't remember him doing much. The space he occupied in my memory banks was for him being one of the last players in Tecmo Bowl to play in the league.
@@OhJustSomeRandomGuy He did get two rings. One with the STL Rams in 99, and one with the Colts in 06, although he barely participated on that team from what I can tell.
Was gonna say. I've got an old blue and yellow Proehl jersey somewhere around here. Not sure if it'd still fit (heh), but I might try. Need to get down to the dome for the game this weekend. 38k+ in attendance last week!
This was my 8th beanpot in a row. Dude let me tell you, its absolutely electric. Unreal rivalries, crazy energy, great hockey. Could not recommend more, wicked good time! Go terriers!
One of the biggest reasons I love this channel and what you do is that you've got that underdog heart. You find the joys in the little things that are out of view for the most part and blow them up big enough for us to see them. Love that you keep doin what you find interesting, we're here for it
Wow jimmy acknowledging his love of sport during cricket is awesome.. I still think you should ask cricket Australia for rights of replays, I think they would be pumped too see you promoting our game
I don’t watch sports outside of Royals, Chiefs, various dominant MLB pitching matchups, and Ohtani. I’m absolutely not staying up, recording, going back for anything sure as heck XFL lol or college anything. I say this because we all have way too much stuff to watch but also those things don’t interest me, but I watch these videos to catch the cool stuff and I appreciate it because I wouldn’t see them otherwise. Thanks.
@ 1:01 That looks like Hines Ward, head coach of the San Antonio Brahmas. I loved him as an NFL receiver, but did not know that he is now involved in this newer football league.
Was your goal to have enough channels and variety that jomboy media is all I watch and listen to all day? Cause if so it’s working. Talkin baseball, baseball today, breakdowns, JM baseball, JM entertainment, warehouse games.
I apriciate you Jimmy, for allowing us, to allow you, to enjoy these new sports, which in turn allows us to enjoy these new sports. It's just a big allowception. New word to go with your new sports . P.S. yall kick ass.
In the the world rugby sevens series, USA vs. Fiji, the time ran out with the score tied 14-14. The scorebug said “last play” and the time ran down to -0:31 when Fiji scored to make the score 19-14. Then somehow (I thought it was over so I left the room) USA had tied the game and then it was going to overtime where USA won. If you’re into nuanced rules, I’m sure there’s something weird going on there. I was watching on CNBC sports but can’t seem to find a clip online
For anyone actually curious in the PLL lacrosse games a goal is 1 and a 2-point goal (outside the arc) is 2. Players stats are talied in points along with the team but the terminology of goal remains the same.
The guys who name you forgot was Hakeem Butler. Went to ISU and was a All American WR. Drafted by the cards & dropped when D hop got there. Didn’t realize get a chance to play. He’s a dawg. Good guy too.
Jomboy exposing at 7:15 how I got interested in sports like handball, cricket, cycling, rugby, and most importantly, kabbadi over the years: because they're on during work.
Hurling (irish sport, check it out) uses a mixed point/goal nomenclature. If you put the ball (sliotar) in the net that's a "goal" and it's worth three. If you knock it through the uprights it's a "point" and is worth 1. What's more confusing is the score isn't totaled. It's stated as goals-points. So, you might have a final score of 3-18 to 2-23. That's 27 to 29 total.
I love the glimpses into sports I don't follow. I may not like all sports, but there is beauty in all of them, and I am always happy to learn a bit more about them.
Love seeing Jimmy just taking a second to show how much he loves his job and the Jomboy community as a whole
Love to see when someone can’t contain their passion

@@AdubsMMA brother 10 yards is currently the 3 pointer, a 2pt convert is from the 2 yard line
@@ryanfinnamore1309 I’m saying for the nfl.
@@AdubsMMA that is how it is in every football league
The coach you didn't recognize, Hines Ward.
Dang, I didn’t recognize him either!
I thought that was him. I think the reason he was so mad was that he wasn't able to cheap shot people during the game. Broke his heart.
@@OhJustSomeRandomGuy thats afc north football in the 2000's and i loved it
Hines ward might be the worst coach in the XFL
@@Kyle_etc I'm not arguing that.

Gotta vote for fan D. So much passion
Yeah, but the cuteness factor in fan B can not go unnoticed
voting for anything other than D is criminal
Samesies. But does me saying "samesies" nullify my vote?
I said "Gotta be fan D" out loud and then found this comment.
Fan D had the best wind-up and celebratory punch - winner 🥇
This was my 8th beanpot in a row. Dude let me tell you, its absolutely electric. Unreal rivalries, crazy energy, great hockey. Could not recommend more, wicked good time! Go terriers!
Love that you are giving time and respect to women's sports, media attention is what they need to grow.
I'm one of those people who came for the Jomboy Baseball Breakdown and stayed for literally everything else! Keep up the good work! :)
Never. Ever. Stop. Cricket. Seriously your channel has made me a big cricket fan.
keep it up with the cricket and other sports! its definitely appreciated and i thoroughly enjoy it. could even call myself a cricket fan
Did you catch Jomboy's breakdown of the 1 run win by New Zealand? Shit was insane!!
D is the fan of the week for me because it looks like such a perfect reaction gif from 2012. just enough pixels
Hell yeah, incredibly based covering women's cricket! Thanks for the breakdowns

My Syracuse bias aside, fan D. He was loving it.
Lacrosse seems like a fun sport to play. Thank you for bringing new sports to ur viewers
The NPSL indoor soccer League from the 90s actually had similar 2 and 3 point scoring systems.
I spent so many weekends at the PA Farm Show Arena watching Harrisburg Heat games. Excellent memories.
Love the cricket coverage. You are teaching me the game of cricket.
Good Lord I love this series. These are some of my favorite videos on RUclips.

These videos have slowly surpassed breakdowns for me, which is saying a lot!
I only understand cricket now because of you, and would consider myself a cricket fan, I’ll actually seek out a game when I have the time
This is what I want from a sports channel... All sports, even ones I don't understand, but I'm learning.
I'm a sports enthusiasts and I appreciate Jimmy's wide coverage. Salute king

Love the new video style. No fluff just sports and jimmy’s commentary. Love it
