Really useful but what about a mix-method research? A qualitative variable and a quantitative one. For that quantitative ( like vocabulary level test) we can make a Pre vocab level test and Post vocab level test variable in spss but about qualitative one, I really get confused. Imagine having 19 questions all in Linkert scale. I have given the questionnaire two times to have pre and post tests. Should I use merging strategy or not?

A reliability test is in analyze > scale > reliability
