Just coz of govt taxation policy, many companies are leaving and setting up it's offices in other countries. India's taxation system has always been a major concern for foreign countries. Now by implementing 30% tax on crypto trading, the govt almost ended the crypto market and forced many companies to leave.

Most of the EV cars in India are being introduced by local Indian brands such as Tata and Mahindra, or the Chinese MG Hector. There is a great upsurge in the demand of these cars in recent months because of the high cost of fuel compared to the electricity. These companies are ramping up the production to cater to the market demands. Note also that there are a lot of companies which make smaller EV products such as scooters and autorickshaws (for which there is a huge market in India).
In my opinion, Tesla should work on its India package, which should include a small affordable car, a scooter and an auto. The long range of tesla battery packs will be their winning factor.

Figo was initially well received by the public but what I believe is Ford failed in providing after sales service. We hardly come to see any Ford service center. That's the main reason behind failure of American companies.
Issue is not totally with taxation. If taxation was the issue then VW should have quit Indian Market long back.
VW even launched global variants with little cost cuttings for efficient pricing. And they even increased local sourcing of parts as well.
Toyota has expertise in making SUVs and MUVs.
And Indian SUV market js growing rapidly. Best bet for Toyota would be to launch cars and constantly update them in various ranges of SUVs like Compact SUV, Mid-Size SUV, Full size SUV.
Innova Crysta and Fortuner itself have good brand image. Attempts to launch Urban Cruiser aren't paying back to Toyota. So I feel Toyota should work on their expertise of SUVs.
They can enter later with EVs.
I think Toyota isn't leaving India anytime soon as claimed by many in comment section.

Cars are not sustainable mode of transportation here. People might come and say that we need to have our piece of cake by having car just like people in west have but you need to realize that west has learnt the harm of car ownership and is rolling back to walkable infrastructure for better mobility between cities. It's good that taxes for cars are high to prevent extreme traffic situation in our cities. Also, it's not like everyone even has a parking space after purchasing a car.

The fact is these companies made masterpiece like Abarth, Ecosport, Cruze which are hard to beat even today. But the problem is Indian buyer. Here in India "JO DIKHTA HAI WO BIKTA HAI". That's why cheap cars like Carens, i20 and unreliable products like Nexon, XUV700 are selling more. Tata and M&M are known for unreliable producst and making sales in the name of Patriotism. Just go and check the percentage of unhappy Tata customers is way more than any of the brand which left India.
Best example for what I'm saying is, the substandart Skoda slavia is is made for India only with way too lower quality has more sales than the car like Rapid which was perfect in itself!

Video editing need to be improved because when photos of cars are taken it shows black outlines of free cropping.
One thing I noticed which is negative is that in last 1 minute you have repeated statements or points telling about why Indian cars making companies are more successful than foreign companies which was already discussed in between the video.
After editing and all, before publishing on RUclips there should be a team to review the video so such mistakes can be avoided.

Do you know the taxes on Singapore? It's virtually impossible to buy a car unless you are a multimillionaire. Taxes are kept high on cars not just for revenue but to discourage people from buying too many cars. Given the population of India we cannot build enough roads for these cars. Already metro cities are struggling with traffic and pollution. That's why taxes are low on electric cars.

    2. Sub 4M SUV craze, which are actually crossovers. Global demand for this segment is almost none. So nt much models developed.

    4. Frequent new model demands in India. (Foreigners doesn't need new names only next generations of vehicles system goes on).
