Thank you! Norman, this is the best tutorial I’ve seen doing the bobble stitch, and yes you are so right when finishing the bobble stitch, slipping two, knitting one and passing the two slipped stitches over gives a much better finish.
Hi Norman, Even as an English knitter I find your videos easy to follow. Thank you for sharing your knowledge in such a consice manner that can be readily memorized. You are a ⭐!!! Helen.
For me your demonstrations are complete. I appreciate that you include tips and how you weave in the yarn ends. Your knitting always looks very polished.
Thank-you. Such a striking way to use colour work. I am now thinking of a yoke jumper or cardigan with colour work bobbles on the yoke. I love the weaving in technique too.
Norman, you are a Master teacher and an inspiration to even experienced knitters!!! I love popcorn stitches and these in multiple color are giving me many creative ideas. Thank you as always!
So glad I found this video- your way of doing the bobble stitch was so much easier and looks so much better- I’m knitting some golf head covers and have decided to do a pop of color on them with bobbles
Hi from Northern California. Thank you for this cute tutorial. Not sure what you intended this project for, but I see great wash cloth for grandsons! I can see you do put a lot of work into these tutorials, the artistic but not overdone backgrounds, tiny scissors🤣. Hope you get to travel soon, love your travel pics also!
Hey Deborah. To be quite honest, I just knit these swatches for the video and then unravel them :P And yeah...styling these little setting is fun and it keeps me entertained during these difficult times :P
I love your bobbles. Bobbles are one of my favorite things to make. I really like how you go the stitch below to start the bobble. Looks so much nicer than the old way of starting on the current row. Thank you.
This was very helpful, thanks! Well structured too, I liked how you summed up the information once more at the end. Personally, I find weaving in ends very soothing btw.
Thanks Norman, for all your in depth tutorials, they are a superb resource that I wish was around when I first started exploring knitting techniques... I find weaving in ends can be very relaxing and joyful as long as you've found the technique that suits you and most importantly the stitch pattern/yarn type. Again: you're a resource to providing good options for that! Best from Dublin
So much work for a knitted bubble stitch. I have only done them in crochet before. Always a great tutorial. I noticed that you join the yarn in the new colour as you showed in the intarsia video :)
I am a new viewer. I was just trying to figure out how to do this very thing on my own. I was using yellow as a main color and turquoise for the small bobbles for a sock. I had not figured out that starting in the row below hides the color change. I love the colors you chose, they would be nice for baby clothes, a sweater yoke or blanket. Thank you! I am a subscriber after watching just two of your videos! 😁
Many many many years ago I made a sweater using bubbles as clusters of grapes. I was trying to remember the technique I used and I am following yours to make a sweater with bobbles for my daughter. The videos you make are amazing because you make every technique seem simple enough for us to do it. You are a wonderful teacher!! Thank you so much. =)
Such a great tutorial! I used to hate weaving in my yarn ends, but you have changed that. Thank you for your expert advice about optimizing finish based on the style of work. Happier knitters are we because of you. Thank you for your time and effort.
Thank you, Norman, for sharing your knowledge of knitting! I am a beginner, and I have learned so much from you. You explain techniques very well! I learned how to do a bobble today, and tomorrow I will try doing it with different colors! Can't wait!
Clever way to weave in the ends! 🧶 I try to weave in as I go if I am sure the project will not get unraveled 😂 Keep up the great work! I am learning a lot Stay safe 😷💕
Norman, I did the bobbles in teal blue with a background of white stockinette. I can see the anchor stitch and string from bobble to bobble through the white. Is this normal? It doesn't look like your colored strings are visible through your project.
Thank you! Norman, this is the best tutorial I’ve seen doing the bobble stitch, and yes you are so right when finishing the bobble stitch, slipping two, knitting one and passing the two slipped stitches over gives a much better finish.
Simply superb explanation! Thank you. 😊
The techniques for bringing the color up from the stitch below and weaving the end into the bobble are brilliant! Thank you for a great video!

Love the idea of knitting into the stitch below when using contrasting colour, thank you so much 👍🏻🥰
it really saved all my issues I had with 2-colored bobbles!

that's probably not a trick you will find in any kniting book. I just tested various things and this is what I came up with lol :P

I don't like the weaving in as I go method for most yarns. I dunno..it just feels less secure >.
Very attractive! Thank you!
This was exactly what I was looking for, thanks! 🙌
Beautiful and very useful vídeo!
omg.....the colors you chose for the bobbles make them look like candy
yummy! Haven't thought about that but now that you mention it... :D
Thank you. Very helpful
Thank you very much ❤
Thank you very much!🌞♥️
You are so welcome :)
Thanks for sharing 💓
You are very welcome Adriana! :)
✨Por favor traducir al español. Gracias ! ✨
I loved the video! How did you create the blanket border for this particular video?
that's just 2 stitches of garter stitch

Sounds like you are knitting with a too loose gauge. If you are knitting in two colors...you should definitely go a size or two down :)
@@NimbleNeedles Okay, thank you!
Awesome👍
Thanks for watching, Mike :)
