Just launched, Help dirctly support the channel and future content! www.patreon.com/RedKite I thought i'd let the module do the talking today! Speaks volumes (pun intended) of your appreciation for the artistic and engineering beauty related to the real and software aircraft. Thank you for taking the time to do this and thank you for "letting the module do the talking".
This was just pure Tomcat porn, the cinematography was top notch. The best of any non-Heatblur cinematic. The texture and quality of this module is literally life like.
DCS... one of the few games that actually might make you find a manual on whatever fighter your attempting to fly just to start it up. Honestly makes me want this ten times more now but I am yet to have the proper setup that I would want for this sort of thing. Still, I need this in my life because I don't know of any practical way to be closer to being a fighter pilot as of this moment.
This is the best preview of the module I've seen yet. You actually put good work into the composition of showing a good spread of different features & gameplay while also showing what actual competent flying would look like in it. Camera angles & perspectives were as good as they will ever be.
Though I'm not particularly keen to buy the Tomcat myself (I don't want to deal with the RIO stuff, I like my single seaters), I am utterly thrilled by just how high Heatblur seem to be setting the bar. Other devs will hopefully look at this module and say "That's how it's done, boys" and future generations of aircraft for this game will all have this level of love and craft.
Heatblur pride themselves on quality, this module is something to be proud of, but the time taken is total insanity! We're very lucky they have pasion for it!
The choice of camera angles in this video is outstanding. This marvelous masterpiece is by far one of my most favorite DCS Tomcat vids! Congratulations on this fabulous work!
and it's about time too when you think about it. this is the *standard* that is *expected* of a sim, we have just been used to watered down AAA titles over the years. and this will deserve the $$$ it is asking for.
It's good to see the F-14 Tomcat. This is B version with the GE F110 engines in place of the P&W TF30s, but still retaining the original AWG-9 radar. Used to be designated F-14A+.
Fantastic showcase! Great editing, amazing video :) Really cool. I hope heatblur realizes what they've done. They've completely raised the bar, no... in fact they are the bar. Tomorrow can't come soon enough :D
If the guy who firstly thought of and created the F-14 watches this he'll be like "Oh my god, how did they replicate my creation so accurately and beautifully?!"
That was absolutely amazing RedKite :) DCS definitely needs to populate the carrier with some moving deck crew AI to increase the immersion factor. Loved you video. Keep up the great work!!!
well, back in the business, back in my country, and man, you don't makes videos, you makes art pieces with aircrafts involved, I love your style, mate, also I'm impressed with the module of course, but the flight model is delicious, maybe some day a great dev team like HB makes a Su-27SK or Su-30MK with a quality like that, cya Red
Love this as I work on the Tomcat for 23 years. Very small issue on the engine panel. The F14B did not have a tit indicator, that was EGT because the plane had F110 engines and not TF30s.
Good spot, Yes it's a known issue. The plan is to have both A and B models released. They started with the A model then switched to the B, so we've got a sort of mixed cockpit for the moment. In the future we'l see the A and B specific cockpits released alongside their engines / differences. For the moment the B model uses F110 engines, with the instruments for the TF30's
As much as I love the F-14, it somehow has never felt like a "fighter" to me. It is a fighter, of course, but it's very big and has an unusual design (though certainly beautiful). The design language suggests more sports car than airplane--it's like a Camaro with wings and missiles. The brute power of the F-4, and the weapons load of an F-111. A uniquely American machine. Never disrespect it--or you will end up like a Libyan :D
Awesome video! Every click, vibration and rumble. Great camera positioning too - loved the landing gear retracting and view down the cockpit pre-launch. Well done sir. You've got very good on this aircraft rather quickly Redkite! Smooth on the AAR and 3 Wire trap right on the Ball with the Case 1 recovery. Very nice. Is it really that easy? Good to see Heatblur has finally got all the A Grade DCS RUclipsrs on this aircraft now.
Oh no, she's a real handful you should of seen my first touch and go practice landings! There's no hand holding she'l throw you in the drink if you're not flying her the whole way down, very hands on. Takes a load of practice to get things right, i'm only occasionally managing to get it down so smoothly, Jester seems to agree judging by his response to my landing!
What Computer do I need to Play this Game this Perfect Realistic and Fluent Graphics ... Its a dream come True .. Especially with the F14 Tomcat ! For me the best Fighter Jet ever made ! What a Beauty ..
I was half tempted to go with a min burner/mil (max performance) combo just to irk the people who haven't looked at the natops :P I went with mill as it looked better, and i could save the burners for another scene!
Comes out Wednesday, I'm off work Thursday. Game on. Excellent video Redkite. Hearing those sounds has made me really really want to fly it. Time to clean the Rift methinks.
This is an amazing video. And an amazing add on to the DCS world! Lot of talent went into the this F-14B add on as well as this video. Seriously want the Tomcat now. Was almost like watching Top Gun!
That looks so awesome. At the beginning I had the intro of Top Gun in my mind, and as soon as the catapult starts.......Highway to the Dangerzone!!! ^^
I think i was 8 or 9 when I watched top gun for the first time. When I saw the footage of the Tomcat with its wings pushed back towards the tail, I thought that was the coolest thing ever. Then I got older and saw all the new fighters over the years and..... I have yet to change my mind.

Air combat cut scenes need a little bit improvement (IMHO) , but anyway so far the best Heatblur/DCS F-14 Video. Better than any bombastic trailer. You've really done a great job on this!
Thanks! Yeah that was my first real attempt at that style any tips appreciated, always in a process of self improvement. But between learning the module, time pressures and the need to do a few more videos there's only so much time i can commit to getting scenes together :)
Sorry, for not being precise enough. I meant that repeating "blackout cut scene effect" starting at 9:53. Maybe it's too long or the timing? Something feels wrong. Despite of that, your representation of the HB F14 is awesome. Sorry, for nitpicking.

RedKite and that shot at the end 👌🏼 if you could’ve got it with wings swept would make a sweet ass’d desktop

Thank you for taking the time to do this and thank you for "letting the module do the talking".
Thanks for that!
Best way to make this video
Sorry, I have a pathological need to cue up Danger zone on every F14B video. I can't help it lol
This was just pure Tomcat porn, the cinematography was top notch. The best of any non-Heatblur cinematic. The texture and quality of this module is literally life like.
10:55 Not pictured: the three KC-135s sacrificed prior to the successful tank.
It would be great, to have "Jester" as a copilot/gunner in Apache.
He would find a way to eject!
This comment has aged like a fine wine.

Literally me, I cashed out hard on a whole setup simply because I wanna fly the F-14 lmao

Thanks! Took me an age to make :)
No talking, no music just pure F-14 experience. Thank you!
13:15 Jester sounded emotional :)
Wow just wow! And that's how you do the best DCS videos!
Even hit the brake before raising the gear. Well done.
Nice work bud, nice cinematics
Odd not hearing your voice though :)
Looks like you’re right at home already
Cheers Hellreign! I felt it'd be nice to do something different and let the module do the talking for once, without me talking over her :)
Yeah nice one buddy!
Though I'm not particularly keen to buy the Tomcat myself (I don't want to deal with the RIO stuff, I like my single seaters), I am utterly thrilled by just how high Heatblur seem to be setting the bar. Watching this in 2023 and it’s still one of the best Tomcat videos out there. Well done
You've gained a sub today - anyone who took the time to put this together deserves much more though.
Simply amazing, wish I could afford the system that would allow me to play this!!!
I can see why people love this module so much. I've only flown it a few times but haven't even attempted to scratch the surface.
I’m so glad you finally got it. Great stuff!
The choice of camera angles in this video is outstanding. This marvelous masterpiece is by far one of my most favorite DCS Tomcat vids! Congratulations on this fabulous work!
Just wow.... I wanted to see more of that sunset dogfight at the very end from RIOs perspective. SO cool!
Sadly the opponent didn't want to stay flying towards the sun so it ended up dark a lot of the time :)
This was nothing short of elegant. Just pure Tomcat action.
man these guys have set the bar high!!
and it's about time too when you think about it. this is the *standard* that is *expected* of a sim, we have just been used to watered down AAA titles over the years. and this will deserve the $$$ it is asking for.
Great camera work Mister Red.
Hats off
Such a beautiful aerial machine... No other like it. Wish it was still flying.
Dayum ! that is probably the best texture work ive ever seen

Im sure a few of the guys at HB have gone insane with the amount of detail put into the module!
I rarely watch this kind of videos without skipping or making pauses. This was exceptional, great video!
Thanks! i'l say i've met my goal then, always a little worry people won't watch the whole thing when you try something different :)
If the guy who firstly thought of and created the F-14 watches this he'll be like "Oh my god, how did they replicate my creation so accurately and beautifully?!"
He's probably dead but I'm sure he would like it.
I love this video. it puts me back on the boat. I miss Flight Ops on the boat, soo much fun launching Tomcats.
props you should be proud of yourself! this is literally the perfect DCS F-14 Vid i love it
Thanks Michel!
Gotta love the 'Cat, such a beautiful plane! My fav fighter jet along with the Su-27 series.
Very very nicely done sir, fantastic video. Oh and I agree she sounds amazing

as an old mech on these they nailed it on the cockpit. the wear was on point.

Looks like you know what you're doing both in the cockpit and the cinematics. Good job!
This mod takes realism in simulators to a higher level. Amazing video! It looks like some super production from Nolan's hands: D

I think it was more of a presence plane to be honest. Given how it saw little action when it was in service.
@@michaelmacleod6517 Oh, it had it's share...there was Libya and Iraq at the least
@@fubaralakbar6800 Good point.
Well the f14 was made as a bomber interceptor so it has a bigger design and stronger missiles
But it started turning kind of multirole

F-14 is one of my favorites. Awesome Video 👍
Stunning attention to detail in this module!
Couldn't help but think every time there was a close to a control panel shot seeing the pilot's head super close to the thing haha.
So good to see you got one.
Looking forward to your tutorials.
I truly appreciate your persistence to be what makes you the best.

That landing gear retracting view... the attention to detail is wonderful!!
Is this the first YT'er who successfully resisted the temptation to do an AB cat shot? Respect! Great video.
Pretty sure this was the first time I saw a cat shot without burners... :)
Someone's been reading the NATOPS at least :D

Top video! Enjoying just the sounds (and Your flying, of course) was awesome!
The main gear well sequence was such a treat! Best vid I've seen in a long time, thank you 👏👏👏

Been getting a taste of flying carrier based fighters with the A-10 Skyhawk mod. Going to cough up for the F-14 or F-18 one day.

I love how the launch at 7:54 lets the plane shake because of the missile backwash :o
