Just wondering, whenever I see a ledge in the pond like yours I assume there will be alot of build up of crap on that ledge?
you will always have some crap on ledges no matter what but remember natueral ponds have much bigger ledges. but I think having some stones in the pond is far better for fish imagine your bedroom had nothing in it it would be a boring room right?
How easy to put a window in as well?
Not hard but requires more work. It also adds a weak point however. If seals fail the pond can leak. But its personal choice.

Would sleepers be cheaper than concrete blocks?
yes and no clearly sleepers are longer but blocks are cheaper. But sleepers are portable blocks are permanent. a 2. metre sleeper is about 30-£40 each blocks are about £3-£5 each. 4 inch thick 440mm long. but you need many. remember wood does offer some insulating value while concrete blocks dont.
@Yorkshire Koi So really need to work out 'pound for pound', how much the blocks would cost equal to the same size sleeper.
Would it not have been easier to cut the sleeps first 😊

@@johntaylor5200 yes you could but I was not sure where I was going to place the skimmer. besides if pond put together its easier to cut as wood does not move.
