I don’t think anyone will be able to channel the essence of the song like Samantha Pauly does. The song is about a girl who was groomed, r-worded, and abused for YEARS and she channels those emotions PERFECTLY. I think a lot of people forget the song is about a girl who died at 19 after being taken advantage of by men her entire life and not an over-confident woman who got around, but Sam conveys the sadness and heartbreak so well.
I LOVE SAMANTHA PAULY's version, it's the only version that made really bawl my eyes out while the others just made me sad. The way Samantha Pauly portrayed the song with so much emotion and desperation in the end that I feel like I'm watching irl Katherine Howard's life flash before my eyes, plus it was assumed she died at ages around 17-19 which means she never got to even become an adult.
It's always gonna be Samantha Pauly for me because the emotion she conveys without sacrificing the vocal quality is so powerful and she gets very into the character and it's such a powerful and heartbreaking performance from her.
Sam Pauly is absolutely the best K Howard. The way she starts physically shaking and hyperventilating just fits so perfectly with the emotions of the character. If I didn't know any better I would have thought that she actually went through the same things as K Howard.
I truly think Samantha Pauli fully embodies the emotions in this song. I would like to say that Jodi Steele, and Courtney Mack did REALLY amazing as well. The main difference in the performances we think are stellar vs just good are what the performer is putting focus on. Acting or singing?. The others did great on the vocals, in fact no one did bad on vocals in any way, but sometimes the vocals needs to be set aside to get the soul of the song across to its full extent. Samantha Pauli's performance makes you want to cry because she is basically begging for her innocence and her life.
I fully agree, no one sang it best or worst, but most of them were more focused on singing while Sam was more focused on acting and THAT'S what made me cry when I first heard her version
I was listening to this as background noise and when i heard samantha pauly's, i kid you not. I physically recoiled and almost dropped my food. My jaw DROPPED to the earths core because i was NOT expecting that 😦
I love Courtney Stapleton, Jodie, Sam and Alicia's performances. Courtney has a lot of anger in her voice, Jodie sounds so scared and her physical acting is how I imagine Katherine acting at this part of the song, Sam's voice is just filled with desperation and sadness, and Alicia makes the role super youthful.
Samantha Pauly for life. She always channels the emotion and belts it out so so good but for the others I was just waiting for that emotion but nobody delivered it as good as Sam Pauly did!!
samantha pauly’s k howard will always be my favorite. i got to see her live on broadway and i had tears in my eyes. her emotion at the end is spot on and her vocals are amazing
I like ALL of them, but I think that Samantha Pauly is my favorite. I think she captured K Howard's character very well - the part where she cries at the end is really heartbreaking. I love the emotion she put in it.
I was blessed with the chance to see Samatha Pauly’s Howard and oh my gosh. The bootleg doesn’t do her justice. The EMOTION SHE PUTS. She’s so talented oh my gosh. I was in shock.
In Samantha’s you can literally hear the fear in her voice- and that’s hard to convey while singing. The way she seems to have a mental breakdown on stage is absolutely amazing and I wish I could see it in person because I’ve actually been very very interested in Katheryn Howard irl so seeing Six would be amazing
Sam Pauly no doubt about it. her full performance from start to finish goes from being a badass queen to realisation that she never got the love she wanted. it's heartbreaking but i do love all the other k howards💜
Honestly I can’t pick and compare these incredible performers, but I’m gonna mention Annabel Marlow because I think she’s pretty underrated, especially considering she was the first person to perform as K Howard
Samantha Pauly for life. She channels so much emotion and is how I picture K Howard acting. Edit: tysm for the likes. however, in terms of vocals, I listen to the Aimie Atkinson one because that is the studio recording and my personal preference.
Sam is my personal favorite, but Collette and Jodie are super good too. The absolute anger and anguish that they each display gets me every time. Plus, the little details like Sam flinching when the other queens are reaching towards her in the choreography, and Jodie looking around in fear and trying to find a way out while the other queens are slowly approaching from all directions. This song is about a young girl being sexually exploited and assaulted all her life, and these three are who really sell that to me. But everyone is really good, it’s really impressive to be able to sing this song and all of them nailed it in their own way!
Jodie, Sam, and Zara were the best for me. The second EVER and ENOUGH need to sound dang near hysterical. Too many "sing" it instead of shreak it. Sam gives me chills every time. I just wanna hug and comfort her. Zara adding the panic look during "play time's over" was amazing!
All the other girls are amazing but Sam Pauly. She hits those high notes and shows so much emotion and makes me feel the Katherine’s pain and what she felt. She seriously a boss and she’s frickin amazing.
Samantha Pauly plays her best, the emotion from her just feels so real! But I thought Grace Mouat did awesome portraying her anguish too :) And Jennifer Caldwell and Alicia Corrales-Connor have such beautiful voices. Madison Firth too, would’ve been cool to see her sing it on stage in costume and all
Sam, Zara, and Sophie are my favorite. Sam captures the pain and suffering while Sophie’s voice seems more childish, signifying how young K Howard was. Zara has so much emotion and I’m here for it.
Aimie's Howard manages the balance between trauma and immaturity in such a unique way that does make her my favorite. But Zara has such a different take on Howard, presents a more healed yet hurt version of her that was so beautiful to experience as well.
Jodie and Sam, definitely! I will never forget the first time my best friend's mom heard the end of her version. She was so shocked when she heard the breakdown.
Right? Her climax is painful BECAUSE of the lack off difference. I love the sheer HURT in most of the actresses, but hers hits hard because she went numb - Annabel's Howard is more numb and defeated as opposed to hurt or mad.
I hadn’t heard Jodie’s version before, but I really love it! The riff is perfect, the emotion is spot on, and she really feels like a young girl going through trauma.
Omg, Maddison, HIT THAT RIFF. Holy COW, she's incredible. (Btw, my personal favorite Howards are Jodie and Sam; Jodie just does something to me and Sam could sing a song about farting and I would cry.)
I first heard this song with Samantha Pauly and it makes me cry every time, but everyone does this song so well and I'm really excited to go see it in 2 months time! I can't wait to see what kind of climax to this song I'm going to get to see!
I love Samantha pauly and I’ve seen her live. She is definitely my favorite, but watching Courtney Stapleton put a chill down my spine. Definitely one of my favorites behind Samantha
Jodie Steele, Samantha Pauly y Zara MacIntosh are my favorites for 'cause I feel the emotions better than with the others, that part is not necessary to be perfectly singed, is necessary to put the biggest emotions in it, even if that sacrifice the perfect sing, because the point is that she emotional broken and the emotions are the climax for over everything
My list. 1. Samantha Pauly 2. Jodie Steele 3. Collette Guitart 4. Georgia carr 5. Grace Mouat Honorable mentions: Hana Stewart, Zara MacIntosh, Courtney Stapleton If there are any you feel i should i add to this list ill re-listen and give my argument (or change the list if i agree).
Samantha Pauly is by far my favorite Catherine Howard! Her voice is phenomenal, and she sings and acts the hell out of this song. Everytime I hear her do it, I get goosebumps, and by the time she hits that final note, she always has me in tears. No other version of this song has been able to accomplish either of those things.
All of them are amazing but my favorites are Sam, Jodie, Sophie, Aimie and Alicia (and Hannah Lowther but she wasn't in this since her debut was only just over a month ago)
It feels like everyone else was still treating it like a song, but Sam was genuinely going through it if that makes sense. It stopped being about putting on a good show and became a true hysterical cry of anguish
Zara, Jodie, Collete and Sam are my faves Zara's growls at the end and she was the only one I think who screamed instead of gasping at the end (gave me chills) Jodie's acting on her side is legit from happy go Lucky to heart broken is so cool and vocals from Collete goosebumps and Sams acting and singing is breathtaking literally
Aimie Courtney s. Vicki M. Jodie S. Samatha p. sophie I (she sounded young like the accurate Kathrine H) Zara Collette Alicia C-C Georgia C are my favs
she is the best katherine howard i have ever seen!! not only in person but in all of these compilations!! she never struggles with the vocals and she PERFORMS such a strong yet quiet intensity !! she feels it, you don’t feel like she’s acting you can see her feeling it!! anyway i could go on for hours about how court is the best k howard
aimie will always be my favourite k howie, but the emotion her, sam and grace, (well all of them really) put into it really portrayas how heartbreaking and sad the song and her life really was, howard always won the competition for me
I know we’re all sitting here in appreciating Sam and I’m totally on the sam hype as she does incredible but can we also take a minute to appreciate how great Grace does!? Like chills
The musical: Dont compare yourself to other people, this spreads misinformation and is a counterproductive way to learn. The fan base: Who sang the r@pe song best?
My personal ratings... Keep in mind this is just my opinion and its not based off of voice but on how much emotion they put into the verse. They all have beautiful voices! Annabel Marlow: 00:00 2/5 I personally don't feel it Aimie Atkinson: 00:55 Grace Mouat: 01:51 Courtney Stapleton: 02:47 Vicki Manser: 03:43 Jodie Steele: 04:39 Jennifer Caldwell: 05:36 Samantha Pauly: 06:37 Courtney Mack: 07:34 Sophie Isaacs: 08:30 Zara MacIntosh: 09:26 Collette Guitart: 10:20 Hana Stewart: 11:16 Alicia Corrales-Connor: 12:12 Bryony Duncan: 13:09 Natalie Pilkington: 14:04 Georgia Carr: 15:00 Elizabeth Walker: 15:26 Courtney Monsma: 16:21 Rebecca Wickes: 17:22 Maddison Firth: 18:18 Sadie Hurst: 19:14
I think I’ve finally realized that none of them completely gel with me because it’s not how I would sing it if I was in her shoes because I’ve been in her shoes. That doesn’t mean any of them are bad or wrong, but I think the emotions tied to that experience is so individual and unique that everyone will play it differently by default, I just have a hard time connecting with them because the emotions don’t match up to the story for me personally
Where is the talk about Sam Pauly- like omg she hit those high notes like a frickin boss and put in so much emotion
Sam seems to be a favorite of a lot of people from what I can tell. She is absolutely amazing.
almost every comment is abt her lol wdym
Literally every comment is about her lol
Every comment is about her Wdym
At this point it would be nice if people would give the other K Howards BESIDES Sam a legitimate chance
I don’t think anyone will be able to channel the essence of the song like Samantha Pauly does. I agree so much, it sends literal chills down my spine
facts same for me.
definitely the best one!
Fully agree
I LOVE SAMANTHA PAULY's version, it's the only version that made really bawl my eyes out while the others just made me sad. All of these girls are fantastic, but Sam Pauly delivers chills each and every time. Amazing!!
Sam and Courtney
No disrespect to all the other wonderful performers but Samantha Pauly’s perfect performance gives me chills each time I view.
Yea legit
Samantha Pauly is a legend
It's always gonna be Samantha Pauly for me because the emotion she conveys without sacrificing the vocal quality is so powerful and she gets very into the character and it's such a powerful and heartbreaking performance from her.
Sam Pauly is absolutely the best K Howard. The way she starts physically shaking and hyperventilating just fits so perfectly with the emotions of the character. If I didn't know any better I would have thought that she actually went through the same things as K Howard.

I fully agree, no one sang it best or worst, but most of them were more focused on singing while Sam was more focused on acting and THAT'S what made me cry when I first heard her version
During Samantha Pauly’s version, you can hear someone in the audience crying.
oops that was me (joke...but i did cry)
*coughing
I was listening to this as background noise and when i heard samantha pauly's, i kid you not. I physically recoiled and almost dropped my food. My jaw DROPPED to the earths core because i was NOT expecting that 😦

I can fully agree. After hearing their performances I absolutely loved them!
I love it when Courtney flinches as one of the queens trying to grab her leg. it shows a lot
Personally for me, it’s Sam Pauly. That little end bit sends literal chills down my spine
I have to say, Sam Pauly is probably my favorite K Howard
Samantha Pauly for life. She always channels the emotion and belts it out so so good but for the others I was just waiting for that emotion but nobody delivered it as good as Sam Pauly did!!
samantha pauly’s k howard will always be my favorite. i got to see her live on broadway and i had tears in my eyes. her emotion at the end is spot on and her vocals are amazing
I like ALL of them, but I think that Samantha Pauly is my favorite. I think she captured K Howard's character very well - the part where she cries at the end is really heartbreaking. I love the emotion she put in it.
SAM ALWAYS AND FOREVER she actually made me cry when i watched it live
I was blessed with the chance to see Samatha Pauly’s Howard and oh my gosh. The bootleg doesn’t do her justice. The EMOTION SHE PUTS. She’s so talented oh my gosh. I was in shock.

Really cool that Toby got their sister to be apart of their first performance
@@SimsAllAround Wait they’re siblings? I did wonder if they were related - that’s awesome.
@@Amatureb Yep 😁
Samantha Pauly always gives me shivers down my spine whenever she sings.
Samantha Pauly for life. She channels so much emotion and is how I picture K Howard acting.
Edit: tysm for the likes. however, in terms of vocals, I listen to the Aimie Atkinson one because that is the studio recording and my personal preference.
But Collette adds so much emotion too
samantha really makes me feel her anger and pain. she’s incredible.
Sam is my personal favorite, but Collette and Jodie are super good too. The absolute anger and anguish that they each display gets me every time. Thank you
Samantha Pauly plays her best, the emotion from her just feels so real!
But I thought Grace Mouat did awesome portraying her anguish too :)
And Jennifer Caldwell and Alicia Corrales-Connor have such beautiful voices. Madison Firth too, would’ve been cool to see her sing it on stage in costume and all
Jennifer has no emotion whatsoever
I love Zara's scream at the end. Idk there is something that is so horrifying about it.
Caught me off guard there
Sam, Zara, and Sophie are my favorite. Sam captures the pain and suffering while Sophie’s voice seems more childish, signifying how young K Howard was. Zara has so much emotion and I’m here for it.
I saw Zara as alt Howard and I was a emotional wreck! she's so talented.
Aimie's Howard manages the balance between trauma and immaturity in such a unique way that does make her my favorite. But Zara has such a different take on Howard, presents a more healed yet hurt version of her that was so beautiful to experience as well.
I KNOWWWWW THATS WHAT I THINK
Jodie and Sam, definitely! I will never forget the first time my best friend's mom heard the end of her version. She was so shocked when she heard the breakdown.
annabel is criminally underrated.
i’m just now hearing her ending and jesus are those harmonies beautiful
Right? Her climax is painful BECAUSE of the lack off difference. I love the sheer HURT in most of the actresses, but hers hits hard because she went numb - Annabel's Howard is more numb and defeated as opposed to hurt or mad.
INIT
I love Vicki and Jodies the most. I copied Vicki’s riff for a theatre contest and won 2nd.(btw I’m a dude and did her riff lol).
Congratsss!! ✨
My favorite K Howard climax is K Howard singing the climax.
No its K Howard who did best climax
@@kpop_liner no it’s obvious that K Howard did it the best 🙄
@@Amber_E28 No you swine it was K Howard 🙄
omg how could you not see K Howard was the best???
Guys, guys, stop arguing. We all know it’s K Howard!!
I hadn’t heard Jodie’s version before, but I really love it! The riff is perfect, the emotion is spot on, and she really feels like a young girl going through trauma.
Jodie’s little riff literally gives me life!

5.) Aimie Atkinson 0:58
Sam just gives me chills with her emotion.
Collete is really, really, really good at riffing. I just love her so much
Sophie Issacs actually looks like a child. This kinda adds to the role in my opinion. Proabs my favorite Howard.
Omg, Maddison, HIT THAT RIFF. Holy COW, she's incredible. (Btw, my personal favorite Howards are Jodie and Sam; Jodie just does something to me and Sam could sing a song about farting and I would cry.)

Jodie Steele and Samantha Pauly have my favourite versions of this track by FAR
They all portray her so good
Samantha Pauly is by far my favorite Catherine Howard! Her voice is phenomenal, and she sings and acts the hell out of this song. Everytime I hear her do it, I get goosebumps, and by the time she hits that final note, she always has me in tears. No other version of this song has been able to accomplish either of those things.
I love aimee Atkinsons version as she was the og in the first studies recording but Sam pauly is gonna always be my top favorite
I like Amie’s and Sam’s the most
Sam pauly just slays it like she is a cricking beast and can sing that song like a boss ❤
JODIES VOICE SENT SHIVERS DOWN MY WHOLE BODY
Sam Pauly killed it but Zara also encapsulates the horror and sadness of the situation as well. I think both are my top faves.

i’ve never heard collete’s version before and omgggg i’m in love with her voice 😍😍😍✨✨✨
Honestly Annabel Marlow is pretty good. You can hear the pain in her voice.
Pauly owns this song! Can't beat her.
PS: In the "Not Included" list should be Didi Romero.
Samantha Paula by far was the best. She embodied Katherine Howard! I loved it!
Aimie Courtney s. Vicki M. Jodie S. Samatha p. sophie I (she sounded young like the accurate Kathrine H) Zara Collette Alicia C-C Georgia C are my favs

I watched Becca Wickes as Howard live a few days ago and she was just amazing
aimie will always be my favourite k howie, but the emotion her, sam and grace, (well all of them really) put into it really portrayas how heartbreaking and sad the song and her life really was, howard always won the competition for me

It’s Sam and Jodie Steele for me
I know we’re all sitting here in appreciating Sam and I’m totally on the sam hype as she does incredible but can we also take a minute to appreciate how great Grace does!? Like chills

Sam Pauly is the best in my opinion. she really brings emotion into the song, you can actually feel her journey and her realization.
I saw vicki manser and she was amazing. I’ve only ever seen Jennifer Caldwell as bolyn so it was interesting seeing her here as howard
Why is no one talking about bryony? Her singing was amazing!
Alicia is my favourite by far
she’s so underrated it hurts me
one of the underrated howards for sure.
Same!!
Samantha Pauly and Courtney Mack hands down
A lot say Sam, while she did eat but Grace and Aimie is for me
Sam pauly giving me shivers as usual
