I saw a documentary about Sting on arte. In his finca in Spain or France, when he had friends visiting, it was customary to give him a musical instrument from somewhere in the world as a gift. He would withdraw with the instrument for a day and then play it perfectly - incredible musician and artist.

I got to see Sting twice. He was phenomenal. This is one of the best collaborations in history. The brilliant Sting and the guitar God Eric Clapton! I'm glad you guys enjoyed it so much.❤

I saw Sting in concert by accident. I went to see the Grateful Dead in '94, I had never seen them before and after driving all night from another state we arrived and started enjoying the "atmosphere" at dawn, that said after a long day we walked to the outdoor concert site and I found out Sting was the warm up band, it was a trip. He played most of his "Fields of Gold" (his most recent) album and some Hits. '94 was a great year for concerts, I saw Clapton, Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd that same year...

Hi Guys, another great review of a great song, from a talented artist and writer. As ever, I'm enthralled with your take on a song that I probably first listened to about thirty-two years ago. I'm surprised neither of you mentioned the beautiful muted trumpet, which for me, is such an integral part of the version you played. There are so many versions of this song, but I haven't heard a bad one yet. The late, great alto saxophonist David Sanborn, was featured quite heavily on the film soundtrack and other versions, but I love the poignancy 0f the muted trumpet. Thank you both once again, for your take on what seems to be, the music of my life.

I love his voice. Might I suggest “Rocking Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu” it’s a different rhythm from him and a definite tap your feet and can’t sit still song. I think you’ll like it.

I didn’t realise you lived in UK. Have you done a video about what you love (and don’t love) about UK, and what you miss most about Romania?

We've lived in UK for many years, and about two years ago we decided to move to Romania. We miss so many things about the UK. Great idea for a video, thank you. Much love from both of us 💚

So, this is the Album's (Ten Summoner's Tales) re-recorded version of the song which is jazzier and more elegant and somber, while the Movie soundtrack original, with Clapton, Michael Kamen, and David Sanborn is more up-tempo and energetic.

What you say immediately after the end of the song...reminds me of the age-old truism.

This man is such a prolific figure in music world! It was his band named "The Police" with two super hit songs namely, "Every breath you take" and "Wrapped around your fingers" brought him and his band to the fore! Sting, being the bassist and lead vocal, Stewart Copeland in drums, Andy Summers in guitar and Henry padovani in guitar started the band in 1977 in London! One of the best rock bands when we were in our teens! Sting sang in Dire Straits "Money for nothing❤"
