honestly, yes! I'd love to read an actual good poem collection, portraying simple, everyday occurrences, objects etc., as i'm a firm believer that beauty deserving of being showcased in poetry can be found anywhere, as long as you look. even ordinary things hold value to us, and with the right words you can show your readers just how much it means. life in itself is beautiful to those, who seek beauty. take sleeping as an example. everyone has different habits; some sleep with their teddies still, cuddling them tight each night, some cover their feet with covers, scared - even if their common sense tells them monsters don't exist. my point is, in simplicity lies beauty. and arguably, the best thing about poetry - everyone may interpret it differently. A comment in this thread talked about a mug. now as someone mentioned, you may interpret the mug as a metaphor to fragility. a fragile person like me may see it that way as well. another reader though may think it's about how even simple things leave an impact on us - a simple mug at first glance may mean so much to the person, which is a great opportunity to think about how we form certain connections with objects. a tall tree withering, to one person may mean someone strong at their breaking point, to another - sickness and death from old age. that's why i adore poetry. :)

I agree with you on the insinuation of curse words, it bothers peopl who don't like cursing too. It's infuriating when content pretends to be family-friendly, marketing to impressionable kids because you know it's a big market, yet constantly insinuating innuendos drives me crazy. Two years ago, I was a massive fan of TheOdd1sOut, and I have both of his books as a result. I have to say, I felt like I had been scammed after reading his first book. So many of the stories had already been told in his videos, and there were very few drawings added. There were only four chapters I hadn't heard before, so that means I payed 5 dollars per new chapter. With his second book, he didn't just reuse all of his old stories, but it still wasn't worth it to me.
