    I had the pleasure to meet him in 1989 here in the UK. He was a class act! Not just as a Bodybuilder but a true gentlemen and humble with it too... He wore Jeans and a polo top but later when he guest posed he blew the roof off! True role model and a great champion!

    Bob Paris was ahead of his time! His view on steroid abuse and his prediction of bodybuilding as a sport more than 25 yrs ago, hit the nail on the head on the present state of affairs!

    Yea, but he said steroid ABUSE. When bob used them, the cycles were very short, and very small. Not only that, he did so under a doctors supervision. Thats not ABUSE like what is seen today. You need to listen more carefully :)

    Steroids are a big part of Bodybuilding , like fuels in a race cars , so therefore the amounts and types of substances ,enhancers should be monitored like race fuels are. Bob Paris is a real champion for speaking up and doing his best to save the sport he loves. I love Bodybuilding but in order to compete I have to turn to Anabolics. I suggest -. EG: Local shows shouldn't allow growth hormone only oils and water based substance.....ect

    don't think Bob used any GH back then, nor insulin. Prolly cruised test year round and blasted during contest prep. I doubt he did over 3 grams though, I'm sure the amount of mass he carried is possible to reach without the need of a ridiculous much of aas, esp. whith freak genetics. 1 gram of test/week, 1 gram of orals/week and 1 gram of inj. anabolics deca/primo/mast or whatever

    What was bobs diet plan

    • @jakepotts102
      @jakepotts102 3 года назад

      Competition diet along these lines and amounts would matter and vary. This just gives an idea:
      Breakfast
      Egg Whites w 1 yolk
      Bowl Oatmeal
      W/ 1/2 banana in it
      Coffee no cream or sugar
      Midmorning
      Chicken breast or Turkey occasional lean beef
      2 or 3 cups White Rice
      1 coffee no cream or sugar
      Meal 3
      Chicken or Turkey
      Large baked potato
      Small salad w lemon and vinegar
      Final Meal
      Fish such as Orange Roughy or Cod
      Mixed Vegetables w some red potato
      No salt added but can use spices
      This was a general outline of his contest diet from beyond built.

    • @Xalashaska
      @Xalashaska 9 лет назад +4

      I didn't think that at all, to me it sounded like he was showing his level of dedication to the sport of bodybuilding because he couldn't have competed if he was doing the training for a show. He seemed like a very goal oriented person, the fact that he didn't agree with the level of use of anabolic a shows that, as he wants to push his body to its limits without the use of them. But being that every single other person is doing them then he has to do it to keep up. This video gave me huge respect for his character as much as his physique.

      +Bi bearfan What's there to like about them? Thier boring, repetitive mandatory poses or their big huge HGH guts with horrible fake tans and fucked up skin due to the ton of drugs they use? Or maybe you like their out of proportion, ugly physiques (hesitant to even call it a physique because the word "physique" resembles a nice body not pregnant freaks). The judges are fucked in the head too, rewarding the ugly pregnant freaks all these years. Bodybuilding has ended in the late 80's and went to hell in the early to mid 90's. They all look disgusting now. Ughh

    Bob seems to had given up on bodybuilding just because he could not win the Mr Olympia. There are competitions for the natural bodybuilder so there is no excuse for people to give up the lifestyle just because they don't like the bigger bodies in the Mr Olympia. He had many years to still compete or just have a great body, but coincidently he gave up the life and building his body after coming out publicly that he was gay.
