After finding fame starring in The Railway Children, where at the age of 20, she was cast as an 11-year-old, Sally Thomsett is on the lookout for future roles. Whilst she would love to work alongside Railway Children co-star Jenny Agutter, she's far too squeamish for Call the Midwife, but would love to appear in a soap like Coronation Street or Emmerdale.

This interview shocked me in several ways. I fondly remember Sally in the Railway Children and then Man About The House which was one of THE classic sit coms of the early 70s. I haven't seen her since then and to see this lovely doddery old lady was quite jarring. It was heartwarming to catch up with her after 50 years- lots of nostalgia and a touch of sadness at the passing of time- where did it go? She still has that sparkle in her eye and the cheeky grin. I will remember her in her 1970s prime.
Sally looks great, she has hardly changed. The Railway Children was such a wonderful film.
I remember you in man about the house when I was a teenager and I fancyed you rotten. Your still lovely
I totally get Lorraine as the 'character'. The reason why she doesn't get taxed for it. Especially here.
great in STRAW DOGS
Lovely lady but imagine being three sheets to the wind at three minutes to nine in the morning 😮
