I really like when the UFC does this sort of thing. That quick 2-3 minute tribute video obviously means so much to the fighter. It also gives them the proper send off.

Michelle's size would really lend itself to Atomweight - she's small for Strawweight and had an uphill battle to climb as the division became more competitive. She fought well, has an amazing spirit, and is truly a pioneer in WMMA.

    • @chrisaguilar1410

She’s definitely fighting people much bigger than her in the UFC. She was Invicta atom weight champ but the UFC doesn’t have that division. She definitely could’ve been UFC champ for a bit if that weren’t the case.

How are you guys so bad at counting to 6, she's 6-9 in the ufc. Ultimate fighter finale counts as a sanctioned fight.

Okay, that's not being bad at counting, genius. That's just not counting a fight from a TV show. Either way, my point remains.

A warrior who's record doesn't reflect her skills, more speaking to the elite level of competition she fought over and over. Very glad to see her retired. She went after the best and always made a great account of herself even in the losses but the repeat damage? She's better than that and deserves more for hers and her family's future than that.

@@JohnDoe-iq9bzfirst of all,it was a draw.Secondly, she literally beat one of the best in her own world which is grappling.Watterson literally was the face of woman karate in MMA.nothing a casual like you would know.

@@saacheinhazard 😂😂 Imagine failing to beat a corn star. Jesus Christ you lames are awful and no Michelle Waterson wasn't anything special. She's a gatekeeper at best with a 18-13 record. And fyi, I've been watching the UFC since 2007. You're off. .

I always liked her,and I do think it is a smart move her retiring.I mean she has had a lot of great fights, and no need to take more damage,if a belt isn’t going to happen.I mean if she is ok money wise,I would have done the same in her shoes.I wish her the best, and a good luck on whatever else she does in her life.
