So glad to have a chance to see this wonderful film again! Glynis Johns is simply adorable in it, with great support by David Tomlinson and Margaret Rutherford.

What a delightful film! And to see Glynis Johns young and as a seductive beauty was quite a change from her more mature looks in the films I saw her in.

So fun to see David Tomlinson and Glynis Johns in this Together, predating their roles as ‘Mr. and Mrs. Banks’ in the Disney production of Mary Poppins!

What a original version before simple remake of Splah 1984 - Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah. What classic british film. Margaret Rutherford are brilliant actress. David Tomlinson and Glynis Johns had reunion many year later in Mary Poppins 1964.

I am watching from Germany and I am loving this precious old movie🙏🌹❤️🙋🇩🇪Miranda & her innocence was witching all the man.
But you can't be angry with her, because she is the Fairytale Mermaid who is so sweet and is opening up our 💕.
I loved the Marriage woman of Paul as she discovered that Miranda was a Mermaid she wasn't jealous at all and liked her as well.
Why Today's producers are not making these lighthearted movies anymore.Today every female actor had 1 to 4 Facelifts and their faces are not moving anymore because they use every 3 month a lot of Botox. Today the movies are more fake ,the movies are more boring Only intrigued, and narcissistic relationships and violand Movies are played today Todays actors lost that innocence and warm hearted face.❤️
What has happened to our Society in our Country's 🤔🥲

However, in all fairness, we don’t know how mermaids mate… blowing up each other’s nostrils, kissing on the top of the head etc... 😆😂.

I think there was a later version in color but maybe made in America. This almost reminds of the fairy tale where the young mermaid torments her self after saving a prince. She sacrifices her speaking abilities just to get a chance to walk, iykyk

“Mr. Peabody and the Mermaid”? That’s from 1948, with William Powell and Ann Blyth. She can’t speak, but she “sings”.

He had an affair while on holiday, then was bold enough to bring his lover home with him; into his wife’s house. He took his lover out on the town to the same places he and his wife go.
