Thank you for screening this - not seen it before and something quite different and delightful on Xmas Day. Apart from the late great Angela Lansbury, Ed Bishop howling orders ironically at 'Bishop' - great to also spot one of TV's most malevolent female villains - Servalan Blakes 7 - the late Jacqueline Pearce as well. A top treat - thank you once again.

My mom loved watching. She loved to see the stylish outfits Emilie wore throughout the show.. I think of her pleasure of it whenever I watch one. Mom passed in 2019 at almost 92.

Conventional 60s comedy, but sparklingly witty and adult. Great cast. Julie Newmar so rarely got the chance to really act in sophisticated material that it's almost strange to see her in this vehicle. She's ably matched, of course, by James Mason and Susan Hayward, both of whom had many similar opportunities to shine, but their careers had started earlier and had more variety. The timing is perfect.
